I. Despite billions of dollars spent on restoring the levee protection system, New Orleans is said to be "at risk" for a hurricane as low intensity as a Category 2!

NEWS BRIEF: "New Orleans at risk from Cat. 2 hurricane", Excite News, June 16, 2008

"BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Despite a massive effort to repair and upgrade flood defenses since Hurricane Katrina, storm surge could pour over levees in New Orleans if a strong Category 2 or higher hurricane strikes the city, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said Monday. While the forecast uses what officials say is the most accurate and complete picture yet of the region's levee heights, they said they weren't surprised by findings that reaffirm the area surrounding New Orleans is among the nation's most hurricane-vulnerable. The forecast released Monday represents the first time the yearly storm surge predictions have used levee heights based on global positioning system technology."

"Before Katrina hit nearly three years ago, levee heights were woefully out-of-date and in many places far lower than officials thought they were, Dokka said. But, unfortunately, the new measurements, incorporating post-Katrina levee upgrades, confirm an old story: the region remains at risk ... State officials were not surprised by the latest findings.

" 'All of coastal Louisiana is vulnerable and will continue to be vulnerable'," said Jerome Zeringue, a top levee aide to Gov. Bobby Jindal."

Cutting Edge believed in the aftermath of the hurricane that the Illuminati was going to "re-wild" New Orleans, at least part of it; we believed that New Orleans would never be rebuilt to her former glory. Now, it seems as though we were right all along.

These next news story indicates that a partial "re-wilding" is, indeed, underway.

NEWS BRIEF: "Abandoned in New Orleans", by Caille Millner, San Francisco Chronicle, June 2, 2008

"There were 17 levee breaches in New Orleans during or shortly after the city was hit by Hurricane Katrina on August 29, 2005 ... I stress this point because my cousin Lucille's small brick home stood about 400 feet away from one of those breaches, in a district that no one has ever heard of (the Third) and in a neighborhood where there are fewer than 10 people living right now."

I never imagined that in one of the districts, fewer than 10 people are living there as of this moment. Nearly three full years after the hurricane hit, New Orleans is struggling with numerous pockets where no serious rebuilding has been carried out.

This next segment reveals that, outside the more public areas, New Orleans is a dangerous place to live and to work.

"... once you leave the French Quarter and the Garden District in New Orleans now ... you enter a world wherein many if not most of the homes are husks of their former selves; where entrance into someone's former or current dwelling might require a tetanus shot. Still, I was a little shocked to pull up and realize that all that remains of my cousin's house is the foundation, sitting askew on a plot now overrun with overgrown tropical grasses. The concrete is scattered with ripped sections of my cousin's flooring choices ... "

Contractors are waiting for money to start rebuilding! Given the many billions of dollars which the Federal Government has already expended, you would think that no contractor would be idle because he has received no money. I wonder if the Bush Administration has "lost" billions of dollars of monies in New Orleans like it has lost in Iraq?

"... Alex Butt, a 30-year-old contractor from Breaux Bridge, La. Butt has been living across the street from my cousin's former house in a camper since September 2005. He is waiting - waiting for insurance money, for federal money, for any kind of money so that he can rebuild houses."

The contractors who are working are using these neglected, ruined areas as dumping grounds.

" 'Contractors are doing a lot of the dumping around here', he told me. 'I've run a few of them off myself. I've taken pictures, called the police. No one cares'. No one cares. That, unfortunately, is still the state of affairs in New Orleans in 2008, and it is still more of a reflection on those of us who live outside of the city than those who live within it."

Yes, New Orleans remains a city which is not being rebuilt to her former glory -- and we believe that it never will be. And now, we discover that another storm weaker than Katrina can breech the levees and wreak havoc over the city.

Should New Orleans be devastated again by a hurricane, the calls to relocate the entire city might prove to be irresistable. At this point, "re-wilding' would be the order of the day.

II. Terrorism demagoguery was a favorite weapon of our politicians this week.

With this precise definition in our minds, let us now examine the extreme demagoguery mud our politicians were slinging this week using "terrorism" as their topic.

NEWS BRIEF: "McCain, ex-CIA chief doubt Obama's readiness to deal with terrorists", Chicago Sun-Times, June 18, 2008

"WASHINGTON -- McCain advisers on Tuesday portrayed presumptive Democratic nominee Sen. Barack Obama as 'extremely naive' and 'delusional' when it comes to terrorist threats. Obama rebutted that the critics have no standing since they supported the Iraq war, a diversion from hunting 9/11 terrorists'."

These words are very harsh and portend a harsh Fall campaign.

Senator Obama quickly responded:

" 'These are the same guys who helped to engineer the distraction of the war in Iraq at a time when we could've pinned down the people who actually committed 9/11', Obama told reporters on his campaign plane. 'In part because of their failed strategies, we've got bin Laden still sending out audiotapes, so I don't think they have much standing to suggest that they've learned a lot of lessons from 9/11'."

Cutting Edge has always pointed out the fallacy of President Bush declaring that he alone can protect America from another terrorist attack, and that, conversely, a Democrat President would almost surely invite another terrorist attack. The fallacy is based upon two factors:

1) The Illuminati carried out the attacks of 9/11 as part of their strategy to overthrow the Old World Order so they can establish the new. 'The Twin Tower' and the 'Pentagon On Fire' cards -- issued in 1995 -- prove this to be fact (Read full details in NEWS1753, "Smoking Gun Proof That Illuminati Plan To Attack On 9/11 And Beyond Was Well Known As Far Back As 1995 - Part 1")

2) The 9/11 attack occurred eight months after President Bush took office. In other words, this disaster occurred on his "watch". All the "failures" of the military occurred during his presidency, under men whom he appointed to be the watchdogs over America's security.

It is sheer demagoguery to claim that a Democrat President would leave America open to another attack. On the contrary, no matter who ascends the White House on January 20, 2009, the next terrorist attack will occur when the Illuminati decides it should occur

This demagoguery extends to the treatment of "enemy combatants" whom President Bush has ordered arrested on suspicion of "terrorism" and has held without charges and without a trial for the past 6-7 years!

"The Tuesday exchanges between Obama and the campaign of his rival, Sen. John McCain, show the sharp divide between the two when it comes to the approach the U.S. should take regarding the treatment of 'enemy combatants'. The U.S. Supreme Court last week, ruling 5-4 on a case involving Guantanamo detainees, said they had the right to appeal their confinement to the courts, a decision applauded by Obama. During a McCain campaign conference call with reporters, former CIA head

James Woolsey said Obama's support of giving terrorists access to U.S. courts was an 'extremely dangerous and an extremely naive approach to terrorism'."

What nonsense! The Federal Government has never proven these "terrorists" to be terrorists at all! In fact, judges have come to understand that the government has no case! Furthermore, the High Court did not "give terrorists access to U.S. courts"; the Justices simply reiterated a long-standing principle of American jurisprudence, i.e., that the best way to protect American Constitutional liberties was to offer similar protection to accused foreign nationals.

Finally, remember that Cutting Edge began warning immediately after 9/11 that the real target of the government's counterattack was the average American citizen. Applying the principle that the truth is most often discovered by looking in the opposite direction (NEWS1558), and applying our knowledge of the Illuminati Plan, we warned that Bush and his Illuminati allies were planning to destroy our freedoms under the guise of protecting them.

Sadly, our fears have been all too well justified!

Senator McCain's campaign even stooped so low as to throw Bush's false rhetoric against Obama which he used against Senator Kerry during the 2004 presidential campaign.

NEWS BRIEF: "'Sept. 10 mindset': McCain's Bush play on words- Words Bush used in 2004 are coming around again in 2008, from McCain", The Swamp, Tribune's Washington Bureau, June 17, 2008

"We've heard these words before. Randy Scheunemann, foreign policy adviser to Republican Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign, suggests that Democratic Sen. Barack Obama's stance on the handling of suspected terrorists is 'the perfect manifestation of a Sept. 10 mindset'.''

"Back in the fall of 2004, the reelection-campaigning President Bush told supporters at a rally in Wausau, Wis.: 'My opponent and I have very different views on conducting the war on terror. Sen. Kerry approaches the world with a September the 10th mindset', Bush said of his Democratic challenger, Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, on Oct. 7, 2004."

On the contrary, Skull & Bones Bush was always on the same page as his Skull & Bones "challenger", Senator John Kerry. They both are equally committed to the New World Order Plan and both understand their respective scripted roles!

Similarly, both John McCain and Barack Obama know their scripted roles. All their fighting back and forth is a public outworking of the old "Controlled Struggle" which historians have labeled the "Dialectic Process" (NEWS2052 and NEWS1891).

No matter which politician ascends the Oval Office, the Illuminati Plan will go forward completely unhindered.

For the public record, Senator Kerry struck back quickly.

"Remember when John Kerry and John McCain were allies? Friends? Potential ticket-mates? Comity, no more. 'What John McCain has done in his comments** ... is that he has fully embraced willfully, openly, fully embraced the failed, tragic policy of the Bush Administration over the last seven and a half years," Kerry said on a conference call today. 'He's really defending a policy that is indefensible. He's proving every day that he doesn't understand Iraq, or the Middle East, or the war on terrorism'." " 'McCain is embracing' George Bush post 9-11 war of choice strategy', of which he is 'Washington's biggest supporter'. McCain 'failed to learned the lessons of 9/11. He is the candidate of the Iraq War mindset, a mindset that completely misunderstands and dangerously underestimates the threats of the 21st century'."

Watch this theme carefully, for it is likely to become the true mantra of the Obama campaign this Fall, i.e., labeling McCain as a Bush clone.

Do you remember that old Republican attack-dog, Newt Gingrich? He was back on track criticizing the Supreme Court decision to uphold the right to Habeas Corpus.

NEWS BRIEF: "Gingrich: Supreme Court decision will ‘cost us a city’ ", Think Progress News, June 15, 2008 "On Face the Nation this morning, former House speaker Newt Gingrich echoed the extreme rhetoric of the right wing to decry the Supreme Court’s recent decision restoring the right of habeas corpus petitions to Guantanamo detainees, charging the decision would 'cost us a city'."

What nonsense! America will "lose a city" when the Illuminati Plan calls for it to be lost, and not before. Our understanding of the Plan is that terrorism is a critically important component of the planned World War III, a global conflagration designed to produce the Masonic Christ (Antichrist) on the world scene. When you see Israel going to war with her Arab neighbors -- Hamas, Hezbollah, Fatah, and Syria and Egypt and possibly even Jordan -- you will know that the time for America to "lose a city" is at hand.

Speaking of this planned war between Israel and her Arab enemies, word of a potentially significant "ceasefire" between Hamas and the Jewish state has come out of Jerusalem.

III. Israel confirms that she has accepted the offer of truce with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

NEWS BRIEF: "Gaza ceasefire takes effect", YNET News, June 19, 2008

"A fragile truce between Israel, Gaza Strip terror groups comes into effect in early hours of Thursday morning, following day of heavy rocket fire on western Negev, Sderot area. Both side reportedly watchful, wary."

Every Israeli official knows enough about the thinking of the Arabs to know that this ceasefire agreement will not result in a permanent "cessation of the constant rocket fire on Israeli towns and cities". Israeli leaders understand the mindset of their implacable enemy, even if it seems at times that they do not.

This next segment reveals what Israel is expected to do in her part of the ceasefire agreement.

"Israel is expected as part of the deal to ease the economic blockade of Gaza, which is controlled by the Islamic group Hamas. Israeli government officials emphasized that sanctions would be lifted in accordance with the security situation on the ground."

In other words, this agreement is viewed by both sides as a temporary cessation in hostilities, and no more. Then, why did Hamas want this temporary cessation so badly? The answer is both simple and straight from the Prophet Mohammed -- they wanted a "Hudna"!

What is a "Hudna" agreement? Quoting from an old archives article, NEWS2172:

"It is a temporary cessation of hostilities mandated by the Prophet Mohammed when Islamic forces find themselves hopelessly outnumbered and/or outgunned. During this strategic ceasefire, Islamic forces are to build their capabilities up, while trying to deceive the enemy as to their intentions. Then, once Islamic forces are built up to where they have the military advantage, they are to strike without warning, annihilating the enemy forces facing them."

Hamas, Hezbollah and Abbas' Fatah terrorist organizations are busily planning to be ready for their role in the upcoming all-out war against Israel. The Pentagon reported to Congress over a decade ago that the Arab plan for the next war -- a conflict by which the Arabs plan to finally annihilate their Jewish nemesis.

Quoting a portion of NEWS1056 --

"In mid-January, a terrifying, although not surprising, report was revealed to the public. Dated December 10, 1996, compiled and researched by The U.S. House of Representatives' Task Force On Terrorism And Unconventional Warfare, it is entitled, 'Approaching the New Cycle of Arab-Israeli Fighting' ... this report tells us that such nations as Syria, Iran .... Pakistan, and Egypt are planning and building for a final, devastating war of annihilation against Israel. This includes acquiring nuclear, biological and chemical weapons (NBC) in a mix with conventional weapons, e.g., tanks, aircraft, and soldiers, all in massive, overwhelming numbers." [P. 43]

What is the planned role of the Palestinians"

"Within Israel and on its borders ... Palestinians will cause planned havoc. ... In this coming war .... Palestinian Arab Police, in coordination with Hamas, will begin blowing up key targets, road junctions, preventing mobilization of Israel's civilian reserve soldiers from reaching their units at the front. In Judea and Samaria, roads will be mined and Israeli access blocked by shoulder-fired anti-tank missiles now smuggled in under the benign neglect of the government of Israel."

This is the Arab plan by which they hope to overrun Israel. How does this temporary ceasefire work into this Islamic plan? Hamas needs a breather right now, especially economically, that this ceasefire would deliver. As noted above, Israel promises to relax the economic restrictions which are hurting Hamas terribly.

But, most of all, Hamas needs to prevent an IDF attack against the Gaza Strip, for such an attack would discover, root out, and destroy much of the military stocks which Hamas has pre-positioned for her all-out attack, to be launched when the larger Arab war against Israel commences in earnest.

Therefore, the timing of this temporary ceasefire may portend that the coming all-out war is not too far away after all!

The top Israeli Defense Chief seems not to be deceived.

NEWS BRIEF: "IDF Chief of Staff: Gaza Calm will be Fragile and Short", Israel National News, June 18, 2008

"IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi told the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Tuesday that in his estimate, the calm in Gaza will be 'fragile and short. We have to make the most of the calm but prepare for an incursion. We are on a collision course."

Yes, Israel is on a collision course with the entire Islamic world! Hamas only pushed for this agreement because it needed a brief period where it did not fear the IDF attack machine.

Despite all the reasons to not support this ceasefire at this moment, the Bush Administration quickly voiced its support.

NEWS BRIEF: "U.S. welcomes Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal", China View News, June 19, 2008

"The United States welcomed on Wednesday the Gaza ceasefire deal between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), saying it is a 'positive' development ... The ceasefire in Gaza 'will be more conducive to an environment that will permit negotiations to continue to move forward between Israelis and Palestinians' ... The spokesman also praised Egypt's efforts to broker such a truce."

The White House continued to express views which President Bush knows are false and patently misleading.

"Prior to Casey's remarks, the White House expressed hope that the Gaza ceasefire deal would force Hamas to 'give up terrorism'."

What nonsense! As we said above, Hamas desperately does not want the IDF to attack the Gaza Strip now, because the terrorist group would lose most of the military arms and munitions which it has forward deployed, getting ready for the all-out assault on the Jewish State.

The very fact that Hamas would suddenly want a temporary "Hudna" ceasefire at this moment is another indication that the planned Palestinian attack on Israel is on track With Hezbollah in Lebanon fully rearmed with 40,000 rockets, the Palestinians seem very close to being fully prepared for war.

IV. As the Fall Presidential campaign gets under way, political pundits seem ready to crown Obama as the 44th President!

NEWS BRIEF: "Historians See Little Chance for McCain", AOL News, June 15, 2008

"One week into the general election, the polls show a dead heat. But many presidential scholars doubt that John McCain stands much of a chance, if any. Historians belonging to both parties offered a litany of historical comparisons that give little hope to the Republican. Several saw Barack Obama’s prospects as the most promising for a Democrat since Roosevelt trounced Hoover in 1932."

" 'This should be an overwhelming Democratic victory,” said Allan Lichtman, an American University presidential historian who ran in a Maryland Democratic senatorial primary in 2006. Lichtman, whose forecasting model has correctly predicted the last six presidential popular vote winners, predicts that this year, “Republicans face what have always been insurmountable historical odds.” His system gives McCain a score on par with Jimmy Carter’s in 1980.

" 'McCain shouldn’t win it', said presidential historian Joan Hoff, a professor at Montana State University and former president of the Center for the Study of the Presidency. She compared McCain’s prospects to those of Hubert Humphrey, whose 1968 loss to Richard Nixon resulted in large part from the unpopularity of sitting Democratic president Lyndon Johnson."

Indeed, Senator McCain will be castigated as the Bush clone he truly is. You can expect that this theme will occur regularly once the Fall campaign begins in earnest, which will be after the two parties hold their conventions.

V. As Conservatives contemplate a possible Obama presidency, some are starting to "think the unthinkable" - might a President Obama be better for long-term Republican fortunes than a President McCain?

"The conversation began like this: "Before President Reagan, there was President Carter."

"Such were the musings following the state GOP fundraiser Friday night. An impromptu gathering of Republican Party types, GOP state lawmakers, and a handful of conviction-driven conservatives pondered the election of Ronald Reagan and what it might tell us about 2008.

"Would Reagan, the conservative, have become president if Ford, the moderate, had defeated Carter, a man whose incompetence helped pave the way for the Gipper? They asked themselves whether, in the long run, if a hostile President Obama or an off-the-reservation President McCain poses the greatest threat to the country and, by extension, conservatism."

In other words, these Conservatives are actually contemplating whether four years of an Obama Presidency might advance the cause of Conservatism more than four years of a McCain Presidency! This type of thinking will be taken as nonsense by most Conservatives; they do not want the four-year disaster which President Carter gave America, nor do they want the kind of massive Socialism which Hillary and Bill Clinton were proposing during their first term.

President Obama will embody the worst of both of these Presidents. In fact, some Republican strategists are now saying that "Obama is running for President Carter's second term". And, you know something, that comparison has more merit than you might think, because Zbigniew Brzezinski is Obama's Foreign Policy adviser; it was Brzezinski who encourage President Carter to adopt the radical pro-leftist agenda which nearly ruined America in only four years. True to Brzezinski form, Senator Obama is extremely leftist.
