Therefore, we must understand that the "Babylon" being destroyed in Revelation 18 is not a rebuilt, literal Babylon, but a mystic Babylon comprised of those pagan forces always arrayed against God. Isaiah 13:19-22 seems to close the door very hard against all ideas that God would allow the original Babylon to ever be rebuilt, at least rebuilt to her former glory. Certainly, if Antichrist were to rebuild Ancient Babylon to be his global capital, her latter glory would be greater than her former glory. The context of this section forbids a rebuilding to her former glory.

Listen to God's Word forbidding the rebuilding of Ancient Babylon.

"And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans' pride, shall be like Sodom and Gomorrah when God overthrew them. Babylon shall never be inhabited or dwelt in from generation to generation; neither shall the Arab pitch his tent there, nor shall the shepherds make their sheepfolds there. But wild beasts of the desert will lie down there, and the people's houses will be full of dolefully howling creatures; and ostriches will dwell there, and wild goats like demons will dance there. And wolves and howling creatures will cry and answer in the deserted castles, and jackals in the pleasant palaces." [Isaiah 13:19-22; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

Now, listen to the footnote from the Amplified Bible Commentary:

"This whole prophecy is generally conceded to have been written well over a century (170 years, according to archbishop James Ussher) before Babylon's downfall, when the circumstances necessary for its fulfillment seemed most improbable--but it has been literally fulfilled in detail. Human keenness of foresight could not possibly have foreseen that great Babylon would be wiped from the face of the earth (Isa. 13:19), become ruins infested by wild animals (Isa. 13:21, 22), be feared because of superstition by the Arabs (Isa. 13:20)--with only a small village near the area to mark the place where, since the days of Nimrod, mighty kings had exalted themselves above the God of heaven. Various conquerors during the centuries contributed to Babylon's downfall until, by the first century B.C., it was as utterly and hopelessly destroyed as Sodom and Gomorrah (Isa. 13:19)".

Note several key understandings to be gathered from this verse in Isaiah 13.

1. Babylon was the pride of the Chaldeans. Once God overthrew her, she would never again be rebuilt to her former glory. The Medo-Persians overthrew ancient Babylon "on the night of Belshazzar's sacrilegious feast, when Belshazzar was slain and Darius the Mede was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans (Dan. 5:30)." [Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

Even modern scholars do not contest the fact that Babylon was overthrown and her "glory of the kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldean's pride" was reduced to ashes as described in Daniel 5:30. This key fact destroys the assertion made by modern Bible teachers --also Bush apologists -- who are saying that verses 19-22 were never completely fulfilled. God says Babylon shall never be rebuilt to the glory and power she enjoyed while she was the capital of the Babylonian Empire. If Antichrist were to rebuild her, making her the capital of his global kingdom and the economic engine of the whole world, her glory and power would exceed that of the original Chaldean Babylon and this the Word of God will not allow.

Therefore, the issue is not whether a small town now exists on the location of Ancient Babylon; the issue is that Ancient Babylon will never be rebuilt to her former glory, power and influence.

2. Once God overthrew Babylon through the Medes-Persians, He promises that the city shall remain as destroyed as Sodom and Gomorrah. Just as neither of these two cities have ever been reestablished, so Babylon can never be reestablished to her former glory. The context of Babylon being as destroyed as Sodom and Gomorrah is as the Chaldean capital; certainly, the Medo-Persian armies overthrew Babylon, the pride of the Chaldeans, thus making it prophetically impossible for Babylon to be rebuilt by Antichrist.

3. A small village is in existence now near the site of Ancient Babylon, and a portion of Nebuchadnezzar's palaces have been rebuilt. However, the original Babylon, the pride of the Chaldeans, has never been rebuilt, nor will she!

So, why has the world seen such a tremendous surge of false Biblical teaching that Isaiah 13:19-22 has never been completely fulfilled and that Antichrist will rebuilt the city to be his capital city of his global kingdom? I believe this answer has several parts.

1. These Bible teachers are unabashed Bush apologists. They want you to support Bush's invasion of Iraq, even though he based it upon blatant, bold lies and distortions [NEWS1890 and NEWS1890b].

2. These teachers also want you to believe that the appearance of Antichrist is very far off, so far away that the world has the time to rebuild this city to be both the capital of Antichrist's global kingdom and the economic engine of the world. Obviously, this rebuilding will take 50 years or more; therefore, no person who has faith in this theory will believe that Bush's invasion will actually produce Antichrist, but will merely overthrow the severe dictatorship of Saddam Hussein so that the process can begin to rebuild Babylon.

"Thou Knewest Not The Time of Thy Visitation"

When Jesus pronounced His terrible judgment upon Jerusalem that was fulfilled in 70 A.D., He clearly said that Jerusalem would suffer her horrible fate because she had missed the prophetic times in which she had just passed. Listen:

"If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation." [Luke 19:42-44]

The Jews did not know "the time of their visitation"! Satan always tries to make people living during a time of great prophetic significance miss the fact that they are witnessing fulfillment of prophecy through the events in which they are living! The Pharisees of Jesus' day went to great lengths to obscure from the common people the many prophecies Jesus was fulfilling. So it is today. Since Israel has come back to her land, we have witnessed startling fulfillment of prophecy, with events clearly setting the stage for even more fulfillment. Yet, Satan throws up doubt and derision, trying to obscure this reality from the people. This false teaching of Babylon being rebuilt obscures the nature of the prophecy being fulfilled right now -- people are missing it because they are looking down the road 50 years or more when Babylon is supposed to be rebuilt as the global capital and economic power. In looking so far into the future, they are missing the possibility the appearance of the Man of Perdition is much closer.

BABYLON IS COVERED OVER WITH DEPLETED URANIUM

This map clearly shows the current battles being fought in Iraq between insurgents and the Coalition Forces. Where is Ancient Babylon on this map? Since Tim LaHaye is one of the foremost teachers today propagating the concept that Ancient Babylon will be rebuilt so Antichrist can make it his capital, let us go to his website to get its exact location. When you read this description, you will also realize that Coalition Forces fought some battles in this vicinity during our March - April, 2003, advance to Baghdad.

"Look at the maps of the war in Iraq. Do you see Babylon? Not even the best 'Where's Waldo' expert will find it on any of the maps we've seen. But it's right in the heart of the battle, and the site of one of hundreds of Saddam Hussein's presidential palaces scattered throughout Iraq. In their advance toward Baghdad, U.S. troops were engaged in battles in the cities of Najaf and Karbala. Babylon is between Baghdad and Najaf, at a point due east of Karbala. The Euphrates originally swept past Babylon, but then shifted nine miles to the west." ["Where's Babylon?", by Stuart Johnson, The Official 'Left Behind' Website, http://www.leftbehind.com/channelliveforgod.asp?pageid=708&channelID=159]

Now we know that Babylon is "between Baghdad and Najaf, at a point due east of Karbala". However, how many miles is it from Baghdad? We get this information most clearly from a travel agency website.

"Nowadays, its ruins covers about 302 km lying on the east bank of Euphrates 90 km south of Baghdad and about 10 km north of Hilla." ["Babylon, Iraq", AtlasTours.net, http://www.atlastours.net/iraq/babylon.html]

Now we know that Babylon is 90 kilometers (56 miles) south of Baghdad and due east of Karbala. Now, refer back to this colored battle map, above. The Ancient city of Babylon lies east of Karbala, right under the #5 red button! Remember the revelation in the Left Behind website, above, that this location was the scene of fighting during Gulf War II, in March - April, 2004, as our forces were driving to Baghdad.

Now, please understand this reality well: when the official Left Behind website stated that Ancient Babylon was "right in the heart of the battle", this battle was fought with Depleted Uranium (D.U.) munitions! Further, some DU weaponry is currently being used against the insurgents battling Coalition Forces. We have written much about the deadly danger posed by Depleted Uranium munitions, both to the civilian population and our soldiers wielding the weapons. NEWS1907 - "PRESIDENT BUSH'S NUCLEAR WARS AGAINST AFGHANISTAN AND IRAQ NOW CONFIRMED!"

NEWS1843 - "AMERICAN SOLDIERS ARE ILL AND DYING OF "MYSTERIOUS ILLNESS" -- IS IT DEPLETED URANIUM POISONING?"

To sum up the significant details about Depleted Uranium, we offer the following points:

1. Upon impact with a hard object, the DU round will dissolve into tiny dust particles. This radioactive dust settles on vehicles, buildings, clothing, and mixes with the dust on the ground. When wind storms hit, DU dust will be blown many miles from the battlefield. In NEWS1907, we quoted a retired Indian Admiral who said that radioactive dust is blowing 1,000 miles from the battlefields. From Afghanistan, radioactive DU dust is now settling upon New Delhi, India!

2. To become deadly, fatally ill from D.U. Poisoning, a person has only to breathe in one (1) small speck of dust, 0.2 - .05 microns in size. A person will not even feel such a small speck entering the nose and/or mouth. Once in the lungs, this DU will begin to irradiate cells around it with uranium poisoning.

3. Since the Pentagon has issued so many false "scientific" studies which greatly and falsely minimize the risk DU poses, we relied upon two credible, no-nonsense sources. First, a Cutting Edge subscriber is a medical doctor in a modern foreign army, and is thoroughly trained in modern desert warfare, including D.U. munitions. Secondly, a long-term friend of our family is a recently retired U.S. Army Major; he independently confirmed the information given us by the medical doctor.

This medical doctor said that the D.U. dispersed by our forces would be sufficient to render Iraq uninhabitable for human beings in a generation (20 years). We repeat: Uninhabitable! The Indian Admiral quantified this assertion by stating that the radioactivity dispersed by our forces thus far is equal to the radiation that would have been emitted by 250,000 Nagasaki-type atomic bombs. While some may question the validity of this figure, no one can argue that such intense radiation would fulfill the prediction made by our medical doctor: that Iraq was going to be rendered uninhabitable in a generation. Iraq Depleted Uranium Map

Once the land becomes too deadly for people to live on it because of DU poisoning, how long will it stay uninhabitable? DU radioactive poisoning stays active for 4.5 billion years! Obviously, if we have covered over Iraq with enough DU munitions to deliver the radioactivity equal to 250,000 Nagasaki-type atomic bombs, the land will remain fatally radioactive for the remainder of time this earth has to exist before Jesus comes back at the slaughter of Armageddon to take control of the world.

Please take a good look at this map. We obtained it from the website recommended to us by Joyce Riley of Gulf War Veterans Association -- www.traprockpeace.org. (The exact location of the map is: http://traprockpeace.org/jawad_al-ali_iraq.pdf; once there, hit the "Page Down" key once)

This map shows the density of Depleted Uranium poisoning in the various areas of Iraq. Since this map is written in Arabic, I sent it electronically to an Arab translator in Boston, Massachusetts. His reply was that this map represented the levels of Depleted Uranium poisoning in Iraq. The red areas represent the places where the DU poisoning is the greatest. As you can see, the southeastern areas of Iraq open to the Persian Gulf, where our troops originally jumped off against Iraq in March 20, 2003, are just covered over with Depleted Uranium at the highest levels. Comparing the shape of the Arabic DU map with the regular political map, you can see that the following cities which are covered heavily with DU poisoning are the very cities in which the first 2 1/2 weeks of fighting were the most intense:

Al Basrah

Umm Qatar

Az Abar

The entire area from which our forces jumped off and which they fought for the first couple weeks are colored red, the most heavily contaminated area.

Now, notice the area colored red right in the middle of the map with the oversized oval black dot is Baghdad. The heavily contaminated red area runs from Baghdad all the way down 100 miles southeast to Al Hillal. Note that this area covers Karbala, the scene of heavy fighting right now. However, as Tim LaHaye stated, above, fighting occurred in this region during the dash to Baghdad.

However, the most important consideration is that this heavily contaminated red area completely covers over the Ancient city of Babylon, which lies just east of Karbala. The ancient ruins of Babylon are as contaminated as Baghdad -- how contaminated is the capital city of Iraq? Listen to this sobering news story:

NEWS BRIEF: "Another War Crime? Iraqi Cities ‘Hot’ With Depleted Uranium", August 15, 2003, Sara Flounders / International Action Center

"The Pentagon fired radioactive Depleted Uranium weapons in downtown Baghdad, leaving the capitol city contaminated with radiation levels that are 1,000 to 1,900 times higher than normal. Washington has stated it will not be responsible for undertaking any clean-up of these dangerous pollution hot-spots. Has US use of depleted-uranium weapons turned Iraq into a radioactive danger area for both Iraqis and occupation troops? This question has already had serious consequences. In hot spots in downtown Baghdad, reporters have measured radiation levels that are 1,000 to 1,900 times higher than normal background radiation levels."

These levels of radiation -- 1,000 to 1,900 times normal -- makes the area from Baghdad southward about 100 miles a truly radioactive hotspot. Remember, the radiation from D.U. munitions is approximately 4.5 billion years; remember also that our medical doctor with a foreign army said that we have likely rendered Iraq unlivable, with such conditions coming into reality in about 20 years. With this information, let us continue with our feature article.

"In this year's war on Iraq, the Pentagon used its radioactive arsenal mainly in the urban centers, rather than in desert battlefields as in 1991. Many hundreds of thousands of Iraqi people and US soldiers, along with British, Polish, Japanese and Dutch soldiers sent to join the occupation, will suffer the consequences. The real extent of injuries, chronic illness, long-term disabilities and genetic birth defects won't be apparent for five to 10 years."

This information is consistent with the revelations from the retired Admiral of the Indian Navy, which we reported in NEWS1907. He said that health consequences will begin to appear seriously in 2008. Now, let us examine the fact that our government lied boldly to the Dutch government.

Finally, look at this map. You can see where the town of Al Samawah is located. In this article from the Sara Flounders / International Action Center, we read:

"Washington has assured the Dutch government that it used no DU weapons near Al-Samawah, the town where Dutch troops will be stationed. But Dutch journalists and anti-war forces have already found holes in the US stories, according to an article on the Radio Free Europe website." [Ibid.]

Indeed, Washington has been caught in a bold lie to the Dutch government! As we check back to our article on the D.U. contamination of the National Guard soldiers of the 422nd Military Police (NEWS1907), we discover they were stationed for a year at the small town of Samawah. These men became contaminated with Depleted Uranium while stationed at Samawah because this city is "hot" with uranium. Isn't it awful that our own government will boldly lie to the Dutch government?

If you check this map, you will discover that the town of Samawah is located 92 miles southeast of Baghdad; earlier, we discovered that Babylon is located only 56 miles southeast of Baghdad! Therefore, this radiation hot spot clearly stretches over the Ancient city of Babylon!

CONCLUSION

The United States and Great Britain have most definitely waged nuclear war upon Iraq and Afghanistan. The retired Indian Admiral was right in NEWS1907 when he declared that Depleted Uranium munitions is nuclear war because it is derived from a nuclear atom and it possesses the same radiation as you get from U-235 and U-238 uranium; in fact, this is exactly the source of Depleted Uranium! D.U. possesses 30% of the radiation that was present in the original uranium ore! While we are very careful in civilian life to not expose anyone to any level of uranium radiation, our military thinks nothing of exposing both civilians and our own soldiers to uranium poisoning, and have done so without warning our soldiers of the risk.

Today, Iraq is thoroughly and heavily contaminated with uranium poisoning at the level where life cannot be sustained for very many years. Further, this type of contamination lasts for 4.5 billion years. If you study the map of the "Non-Integrating States" we show on NEWS1833, you will realize that the winds are blowing this radiated dust 1,000 miles to the southeast if the Sharqi or Sirocco winds are blowing and to the northwest if the Shamal winds are blowing. Therefore, all of the "Non-Integrating States" to the Southeast and Northwest of Iraq and Afghanistan are being irradiated! The Indian Admiral also said that New Delhi was getting irradiated uranium dust from Afghanistan, 640 miles southeast of Kabul.

Thus, you have to ask yourself whether the Illuminati has decided that many of the ."Non-Integrating States" in this region will never catch up in economic development to where they can become "Functioning Core" states which can participate in the cashless economy of the New World Order, where "no man may buy or sell save he that has the Mark"!

As for ever rebuilding Ancient Babylon to become the major city in the government of Antichrist, it looks very doubtful whether this contamination will lift in time for that to happen. In the absence of any provable scientific method to completely and quickly change this radiation into a harmless substance, one can only conclude that our nuclear war against Iraq may have ensured that God's prophecy in Isaiah 13:19-20 has just been irrevocably fulfilled.

Truly, the End of the Age is upon us.
