I. This Iraq War is not over yet!
At the time of the Coalition Forces attack against Iraq on March 20, 2003, we reported our belief that this war would be considered lost to the Western side and would lead to the Battle in the Plains of Megiddo (Joel 3).
NEWS BRIEF: "Why suicide bombers are back in Iraq: War far from over", By Steve Niva, Asia Times, May 7, 2009
"Suicide bombings are back in Iraq, signaling that the war is far from over. After a significant downturn, with only six suicide attacks between December 2008 and March 2009, there have been 25 suicide bombings in Iraq in the last two months, contributing to the worst spate of violence in Iraq in nearly a year."
During the time of President Bush's surge, Iran ordered the Mahdi Army under the radical Shi'ite cleric, al-Sadr, to suddenly declare and observe a unilateral ceasefire. This action took away the most powerful opponent facing the Coalition Forces. The only organized group left to fight the Westerners was the Sunni bloc and they were no match for the American and British forces.
We warned that Iran was playing a chess match. They would allow the Americans to declare victory and plan to leave. But, once the plans to withdraw were set in stone, Iran was going to attack with her loyal Shi'ite forces within Iraq, with the goal being total victory for the Shi'ites and total domination of of Iraq first and then the entire region, for Iran. Apparently, this scenario is beginning to be played out.
"The bombers have revealed a new audacity and sophistication, striking in all parts of the country and against many seemingly highly secured targets."
Notice that these bombers " have revealed a new audacity and sophistication", a fact made possible only through the sophistication of the Iranian military machine. Iran is going to slowly stoke this war back into full flame, being very careful not to aggravate the Americans to decide to stay after all beyond the target date of December, 2011. But, some American forces just might withdraw under fire.
"The new wave of suicide bombings culminated in a coordinated series of four bomb blasts across Iraq on March 23, three of them suicide bombings. The bombings spiked in April, with attacks on Iraqi army bases and police stations in Shi'ite enclaves and holy sites. Attacks also targeted US-backed Sunni militia leaders and US forces, including a massive suicide truck bomb in Mosul that killed five US soldiers, the deadliest strike on American troops in a year. The nearly 20 suicide bombings in April have made it the deadliest month in 2009 for Iraqi civilians, with nearly 300 dead according to Iraqi Interior Ministry officials, compared with only 51 killed in February and 70 in January."
The Iranian-backed and supplied Shi'ite forces are likely going to attack just enough between now and 2011 to ensure that the Americans are really going to leave at that time, and take the 100,000 strong mercenary forces with them. Soon, you will be hearing articles arguing that the only way to end these attacks is to really pull American forces out of the country - earlier rather than later.
Iran is now on her way to ascendancy in the battle for Middle Eastern supremacy. At this time, let us examine again the Iranian plan to defeat the Americans, which was published in late March, 2003, just as Coalition Forces were crossing the Iraqi border. You can see how the Iranians have worked their plan to perfection.

This Iraq war is not over, but is merely entering the "end of the beginning". Iran is the true victor. President Bush is the true loser - just as Cutting Edge predicted would happen.

II. Consistent with the economy moving into the government-controlled Fascist Model, the FDIC chairman demands far greater authority and power than the department now possesses.
NEWS BRIEF: "FDIC Chief Wants Broader Federal Powers - NOW!", The Wall Street Journal, May 7, 2009
"Policy makers should consider moving quickly to allow the government to place large financial companies into receivership, a top banking regulator said Wednesday. Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Chairman Sheila Bair, in an appearance on Capitol Hill, told Senate lawmakers that putting the authority in place quickly could make large financial firms more willing to deal with troubled assets, as well as have other benefits ... The FDIC is allowed to place banks into receivership, but similar authority doesn't exist among federal regulators for insurance companies, bank-holding companies, broker dealers and other financial firms."
Wow! This demand is more than just bold - it is draconian and dictatorial!. If the FDIC possesses this kind of authority, its officials could simply seize a bank on mere pretext of financial trouble. The financial company would not be given the time to try to work out its problems without government intervention. Rather, the government could simply seize assets and control now and answer questions later.
Financial companies who are attempting to block government control over THEIR institution would be checkmated rapidly.
This development is truly shocking.
But, it is very consistent with the economy moving into the government controlled Fascist Economy. No matter where you look these days, you see classic elements of Fascism, with no evidence whatsoever of the traditional Capitalism. As we stated in our Headline News Article, NEWS2317, "Financial Coup Completed: American Economy Now A Tightly Controlled, Severely Regulated Economy".
This plan was what government financial regulators were implementing all along, and the plan being set in place throughout the world. As we stated 12 years ago, the planned economy of Antichrist is the Fascist Economy. It is now developing, and is becoming one more sign that the End of the Age is near.

III. President Bush may have carried out systematic torturing of prisoners that was a violation of American and international law, but he apparently carried out these crimes in such a way that the legal system cannot touch him or his cohorts.
Did President Bush outfox his enemies?
NEWS BRIEF: "Bush torture memos may present a hard case for prosecutors", The Miami Herald, May 7, 2009
"WASHINGTON -- Efforts to impose professional sanctions on Bush administration lawyers who drafted memos supporting harsh interrogations of terrorism suspects face steep hurdles, experts on legal ethics said Wednesday. Law professors and legal practitioners who have handled such cases said the difficulty of gathering witnesses and evidence could present ''nearly insurmountable challenges'' for state investigators who may wish to pursue a case against the lawyers, John C. Yoo and Jay S. Bybee."
Note from the next news segment that these two lawyers are genuinely experienced in the field of law. As such, they knew how to break the law in such a manner as to avoid prosecution.
"Yoo, now a law professor in California, and Bybee, now a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, were in the department's Office of Legal Counsel when they assessed the legality of simulated drowning and other harsh interrogation techniques for the CIA in a series of memos beginning in 2002. Ultimately, the lawyers gave a green light to waterboarding, sleep and food deprivation, and other tactics. The Obama administration has cast aside those techniques, saying they violate anti-torture laws and the Geneva Conventions."
Why cannot these two lawyers be brought to justice?
"Stephen Gillers, a professor of legal ethics at New York University, said state bars have no subpoena power to compel the Justice Department to make sensitive documents or key witnesses available. The core question, Gillers said, is whether state lawyers could prove that Yoo and Bybee ran afoul of professional rules."
We believe that this entire system of setting up the torturing of "enemy combatants" was first cleared at the highest levels of the political system, i.e., the White House of George Bush and Dick Cheney. The commandant of the Abu Ghraib prison, General Janet Karpinski, made this charge in late, 2004.
But, once the torture policy was approved by the President, it traveled immediately to the office of legal counsel, where careful plans were laid as to how the torture policy was to be implemented so that no high authority could ever be charged with criminal indictments which would stick. Very clever, very smart.
