Yesterday morning our
director, David Bay, was taken to the hospital for emergency
surgery to remove a blood clot from his head. While
he recovers I will be doing the updates for David until
he is back home and able to do them. My name is Jim
and I have been with Cutting Edge for 26 years and filled
in with daily news updates many times. I ask for your
daily prayers for David and his wife Mary and son Danny.
Please pray for a full recovery so he can continue with
his work reaching the world with the news and the gospel.
Also pray for me that I can get all my duties here done
each day keeping up the web site, book store management
and book keeping. I am not the writer that David is
so newsletters and news alerts will be updates on his
recovery. Please pray that the recovery is swift as

picking the data can achieve a desired deception.
We are in a time of great deception
and when we look at the news you can rest assured something
is taken out of context to lead you to a desired and
false conclusion. Many years ago I was out backpacking
with a friend who worked for the forestry service. One
of his jobs was to collect data on how global warming,
now called climate change, was affecting the forest.
I asked him was global warming real or not. His answer
was very revealing. He said that it depended on which
data set he showed me. He continued that he could use
data to show global cooling, global warming or nothing
of great concern. I then asked my friend which he thought
was true knowing all the data set. He said nothing of
great concern.
One of my favorite quotes from
Chuck Misler is "If you torture the data enough,
you can get it to admit to anything. Let's look into
the past and then to the future to see history has repeated
itself.

Brief June 15, 2005 NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - The Bush
administration and some Republican leaders in Congress
are pushing for tighter regulation on mortgage financing
firms Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, according to a published
report.
You have probably seen many articles
that will tell you then most recessions have happened
with republican president. True yes , but out of context
leading to a false but planned conclusion. My own research
on the 9 recessions in my lifetime show that while most
were under Republican presidents that 7 of the 9 were
under a democrat house and senate and the other two
either had a democrat house or senate. Now the conclusion
with more complete data is quite different.
This story below was sent to me
by one of our readers many years ago and I kept it to
share here and will show you how it happened again during
the current administration of Biden/Harris.
REMEMBER JAN. 3, 2007
The day the Democrats took over was not January 22nd
2009, it was January 3rd 2007, the day the Democrats
took over the House of Representatives and the Senate,
the start of the 110th Congress. The Democratic Party
gained a majority in both chambers for the first time
since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.
For those who are listening to
the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything
is "Bush's Fault," think about this:
January 3rd, 2007, the day the Democrats took over the
Senate and the Congress:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT
MONTHS of JOB CREATION!
Remember that day...
January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took
over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris
Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.
The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later
was in what part of the economy?
BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!
THANK YOU DEMOCRATS (especially Barney) for taking us
from 13,000 DOW, 3.5% GDP and 4.6% Unemployment...to
this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6
TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from
YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!
(BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 times
to stop Fannie & Freddie -starting in 2001 because
it was financially risky for the US economy).Barney
blocked it and called it a "Chicken Little Philosophy"
(and the sky did fall!)
And who took the THIRD highest
pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA
And who fought against reform
of Fannie and Freddie?
OBAMA and the Democrat Congress, especially BARNEY!!!!
So when someone tries to blame
Bush...
REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007....THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS

Bush may have been in the car
but the Democrats were in charge of the gas pedal and
steering wheel when they were driving the economy into
the ditch.
Budgets do not come from the White
House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled
Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.
Furthermore, the Democrats controlled
the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010
& 2011.
In that first year, they had to
contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise
on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough
on spending increases.
For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi
& Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing
continuing resolutions to keep government running until
Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed
a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009
budget.
And where was Barack Obama during
this time?He was a member of that very Congress that
passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed
the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009. Let's
remember what the deficits looked like during that period:
If the Democrats inherited any
deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican
budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years,
and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending.
After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending,
and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.
If Obama inherited anything, he
inherited it from himself.
In a nutshell, what Obama is saying
is, "I inherited a deficit that I voted for,
And then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since
January 20th, 2009."
There is no way this will be widely
publicized unless each of us passes it on.
"The problems we face today
exist because the people who WORK for a living are outnumbered
by those who VOTE for a living."
Ok so now we see what really caused
the great recession so let's look at what happened when
Biden/Harris took the white house, the senate and the
house. Inflation was low and the economy was recovering
well from Covid but executive orders from Biden rapidly
changed that with requirements that people take the
vaccine to keep their jobs. Gas prices doubled and food
priced quickly followed. Two years later the republicans
took back the house and did you notice inflation has
come down but prices are still high and whatever your
life savings was it has lost 20% of it's value. Many
seniors really struggle today because of the green new
deal and an overspending government. Interest rates
have come down just a bit but there are still more than
double what they were.
The purpose of this article was
to show the importance of context and how having more
data can change the conclusion so whether it is climate
change or economic or political remember do you research
before you decide on a course of action. Most importantly
remember God is in control and it he he who puts rulers
in place and they may be for blessing or judgment which
can lead to the people coming to Jesus.

Update on David
While writing this article I got
a call from Ryan, David's older son and he said David
was able to communicate some last night but has slept
most of today as is usual after this kind of surgery.
The day after is usually kind of a bad day from other
I know who have been through this. They will do an MRI
and see what more needs to be done.
I will keep daily news updates
going while David is away recovering and reach out to
some of our other writers for something to go out next
week. Pray for healing and a soon return to ministry.
