I. As 12,000 international troops carry out massive war games exercises near the Syrian border, is it time to worry about intervention in the Syrian domestic conflict?

Damascus awaits her prophesied destruction.

NEWS BRIEF: "Over 12,000 International Troops in Drill Near Syrian Border", Media Line News, May 10, 2012

"Amid the turmoil in neighboring Syria, over 12,000 troops from 19 countries are undertaking a massive war game exercise in Jordan, involving land, air, marine and special forces, that U.S. military officials say is aimed at enhancing interoperability between allied forces. Dubbed 'Eager Lion 2012', the bulk of the troops deployed in the three-week exercise are from U.S. Jordan is the host country and Saudi Arabian forces are also involved, but the identity of the others countries has not been reported."

If these troops are operating in Jordan, the chances are significant that some of them are very close to the Syrian border. Therefore, Syria must feel threatened by these troops as it would be easy and quick to suddenly turn these forces northward to move across the Syrian border. Considering the Western intervention in Libya, Syrian President Assad must feel that it is possible that, soon, he will be fighting Western forces pouring over the border from Jordan.

Of course, Western sources quickly point out that this exercise was planned three years ago and has nothing to do with the current crisis in Syria. Is it possible that the crisis in Syria was also planned three years ago, and that this exercise in Jordan has everything to do with this current crisis in Syria? Of course, this is a strong possibility. Furthermore, we have seen several instances -- as in 9/11 and in London July 7, 2005 -- where security forces were carrying out an exercise which "simulated" the very type of terrorist attack which was being carried out!

Therefore, these troops exercising in Jordan may be preparing to move into Syria on the pretext of returning calm and law/order to that country. Of course, a major explosion of violence of some sort needs to occur to provide the excuse to intervene. In this regard, be alert in this coming week or two for any major violent event which could be used to justify an excursion into Syria.

Do you remember our report last week that significant numbers of Israel military units were deploying to the Syrian border? Now, the West has really powerful troops located very near the Syrian line. President Assad has recently warned that, if he is attacked, he would launch missiles against Israeli targets. How would Israel respond? She has already told us; she would attack Damascus!

Remember the prophesy of utter destruction of Damascus for which Bible-believing people are awaiting.

"The mournful, inspired prediction (a burden to be lifted up) concerning Damascus, capital of Syria .... Behold, Damascus will cease to be a city and will become a heap of ruins." (Isaiah 17:1; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary)

Might this current Arab Spring protest movement in Syria be setting the stage for Damascus to be utterly destroyed?

II. An exceedingly toxic chemical used by British Petroleum (B.P.) to aid cleaning up the oil spill is proving to be very dangerous to human health.

NEWS BRIEF: "Corexit chemical dispersant used by BP during Gulf oil disaster linked to horrific human injuries", Natural News, May 10, 2012

"A man who is now a paraplegic and who is also going blind has filed a lawsuit against British Petroleum (BP) and its related companies; Halliburton; Transocean; NALCO; ConocoPhilips and several other companies involved with the Deepwater Horizon oil disaster that began on April 20, 2010, in the Gulf of Mexico. According to the suit, BP officials lied about the safety of Corexit, an oil dispersant sprayed throughout the Gulf, which resulted in serious and permanent injuries for a dive team that helped with cleanup efforts."

During the crisis, many experts warned that the chemicals BP was using to disperse the spilled oil was very, very dangerous to human and to Gulf sea life. These warnings were brushed aside, as they always are. BP and American officials categorically denied that these chemicals could cause any biological damage; however, now the truth is coming into clearer focus, and it is not pretty.

"David Hogan first began helping with Gulf cleanup efforts on June 1, 2010. But almost immediately, he noticed that something was off with the way oil was sinking below the surface, and how it was sticking to his and his team's wetsuits. But after bringing this anomaly to the attention of a BP "health and safety" officer, he was reassured that everything was just fine, and that there was absolutely no health risk from exposure to the oil and any related chemicals that might accompany it."

"But it turns out that this was completely false information, as the Corexit dispersant chemicals sprayed in the Gulf after the disaster began -- reports says more than 1.8 million gallons of Corexit were dumped into the Gulf -- are known to be severely neurotoxic. But this information was deliberately withheld from Hogan and his team upon inquiry, which reassured them that their several months of diving work was going to be problem-free. In the end, Hogan and his team ended up with permanent injuries that left several of them, including Hogan, completely unable to walk. They also developed neurological problems, as well as vision problems that gradually resulted in permanent blindness. Several members of the team became so injured and hopeless that they actually committed suicide."

While this human disaster is bad enough to probably warrant war crimes charges, what poisoning of the food chain has occurred? Are fish and wildlife in the Gulf of Mexico and around it, contaminated with this severe neuro-toxin? Can humans all around the world become contaminated by eating these Gulf foods? Are we soon going to hear that many, many thousands of innocent people who never came close to the Gulf of Mexico are suddenly suffering these neurological problems?

I think this possibility is great!

Don't you think our government is doing a wonderful job at overthrowing our current civilization so the New World Order can be established? Remember, when the Masonic Christ -- antichrist -- arises, people the world over must be so disgusted by the current performance of their leaders that they will be willing to embrace radical proposals for change, proposals coming from the New Age Christ himself.

III. Newsweek Magazine proclaims President Obama America;s "first gay President"!

Might the President's calculated attempt to galvanize gay/lesbian voters backfire on him in the general election? Are there more gay votes to gain than Evangelical votes to lose?

"President Barack Obama’s unplanned, sudden endorsement of gay marriage may pose potential political challenges for him in the upcoming months, but at least one news organization is proclaiming the married father of two the nation's 'first gay president'.Newsweek on Sunday released the cover of their next issue, which features President Obama with a rainbow halo and the title of 'The First Gay President.' Not to be outdone, The New Yorker magazine's new cover shows the White House with a gay friendly rainbow column."

Therefore, two of the nation's premier news organizations have proclaimed Barack Obama to be a "gay president". Does this pronouncement mean they believe the president to actually be homosexual in his orientation, or is something else being proclaimed here?

" 'When you step back a little and assess the record of Obama on gay rights, you see, in fact, that this was not an aberration. It was an inevitable culmination of three years of work,' Sullivan said in a statement about the article. He had to discover his black identity and then reconcile it with his white family, just as gays discover their homosexual identity and then have to reconcile it with their heterosexual family,' he wrote, describing the similarities between Mr Obama and the gay community."

In other words, the gay journalist, Antony Sullivan, is saying that President Obama's policies make him America's first gay President, not his sexual proclivities.

One Republican strategist believes Obama's pro-gay remarks will truly bolster the Evangelical base against him.

"Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, a group opposed to abortion rights and gay marriage, said on “Face the Nation” that Obama’s gay marriage position will bolster Romney’s standing with evangelical voters who are part of the Republican Party base. 'I think that Barack Obama has helped fit that missing piece of intensity that Mitt Romney’s going to need', Perkins said."

Perkins' remarks seem remarkably accurate considering the next news story.

"Mitt Romney surged to his largest opinion poll lead yet in the presidential race on Friday, two days after President Barack Obama came out in favor of gay marriage. The GOP challenger reached 50 percent support for the first time in the Rasmussen Reports daily tracking poll. That put him ahead of Obama among likely voters by seven percentage points."

Perhaps Barack Obama was correct last year, when he told a group of reporters that it would not be too bad if he turned out to be a "one-term President"!
