"Prime Time's Search For God"
"How spiritual is television?
has God been consigned to the margins -- relegated to obscure
cable channels and early Sunday mornings? Does morality always
take a back seat to action, angst, and adultery? TV GUIDE set
out to find God in prime time. We talk to 10 influential thinkers
about television's relationship with religion, rediscover soulful
shows from our past, celebrate moments of insight in recent seasons,
sit down with the stars of TV's groundbreaking series Touched
By An Angel, and share the results of our extensive survey of
American's opinions about television and its potential for a spiritual
awakening." (Page 24-25)
American Christians have always agonized over the forcible removal of God from our secular society. Beginning in the early 1960's, when the United States Supreme Court "discovered" that our Constitutional mandate of "Separation of Church and State" meant that the God of the Bible was forbidden in public schools, we have felt the hand of forbidding national judgment poised above us. We have prayed and agitated for a return to honoring God in our national institutions. Of course, we all assumed that the "God" for Whom we were praying to return, would be the God of the Bible. Then, a few years ago, when the subject of God began to reenter our national life, albeit in a minor way, we were ecstatic; we felt our prayers had been answered, and many Christians even felt that perhaps this presaged a coming Holy Spirit revival.
Very few of us ever understood that the 'God' that was being reintroduced was not the God of the Bible. Furthermore, since Biblical ignorance is rampant even amongst Christians today, many Americans do not understand the Biblical teaching that believing in God alone is not enough for Salvation or for being in right standing with the God of the Bible. We will cover this aspect of our study thoroughly in NEWS1072, Part Two, of our study on 'God in American TV', but now let us examine this TV Guide article to see how God is being presented in our movies and TV shows.
Americans today hunger and thirst for spiritual things. "A TV Guide poll reveals just how deeply today's viewers are yearning for prime-time piety." (Page 33) This poll asked the question, "How much attention does religion get on prime-time TV?" The results were as follows:
* Too Much 8%
* The Right Amount 30%
* Not Sure 6%
* Not Enough 56%
Obviously, Americans today must feel a lack of spiritual fulfillment in their daily lives, a surprising development, no doubt, to those many people who believe that man can be satisfied by the mere accumulation of material things. So, after three decades of throwing God out of American national life, Americans are feeling spiritually empty.
Since Nature abhors a vacuum, we should not be surprised to see a counterfeit spirituality being reintroduced in American TV and movies. This belief in God is now reaching surprising proportions, but we Fundamental, Bible-believing Christians should feel no reason for celebration, because the God which is being reintroduced is a counterfeit God, a God that does not exist, and which cannot save.
Israel trod this same path in approximately 600 B.C., just before God brought King Nebucadnezzer of Babylon into Israel to horribly militarily defeat her, a just punishment for the many, many years of unrepentant sin among the Jews. Remember, these were the Jews whose forefathers had witnessed great and terrible miracles from the time of the Exodus from Egypt to the establishment of Israel in her Promised Land. If ever there was a people who should have found it easy to follow the True God, it was the Jew; yet, they forsook the One True God and embraced the Satanic idol worship which Israel's neighbors practiced.
Well God spoke, when He lamented, "Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit. Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD. For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water." [Jeremiah 2:11-13]
Israel, in that day, had done what America has been doing since the early 1960's when we began to throw God out of our national life. We have exchanged the Glory of the One True Living God for a god which has no glory, and which does not bring spiritual profit to the people. Like Israel, America has committed two evils: 1) We have forsaken the God of the Bible, Who is the Fountain of Living Waters through His Son, Jesus Christ; 2) We have then dug new spiritual cisterns, looking for spiritual sustenance in that which can hold no water. This is the god of the New Age, the god supposedly within, and the god of the coming Antichrist.
The result is that Americans are latching on to a false Christianity. As the TV Guide article revealed, "Perhaps viewers have learned where to find guidance, maybe even redemption, or perhaps they simply know whose example to follow. When asked to choose the most spiritually rich prime-time program, an impressive 66% of the respondents praised the CBS drama, Touched By An Angel ..." [Page 35}This show presents the damning concept that a person is brought into right standing in Heaven with God through good works. The fact that such a large majority of Americans considered this program to be the best spiritual fare around shows how far down the spiritual tubes Americans have fallen.
Then, the poll asked the question, "Which of these characters would you most like to see as your child's Sunday-school teacher?" (Page 35) Any person teaching Sunday School in a Fundamental, Bible-believing church would have to have made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ, and convince the Board of Education that he/she was Born Again. As you read the answers given to this question, you will understand that the former high standard for Sunday School teachers has fallen, and has been replaced by a No Standard Whatsoever. These were the answers given to this question:
1) 50% --- Tess (Della Reese, Touched By An Angel)
2) 6% --- Dick Solomon (John Lithgrow, 3rd Rock From The Sun)
3) 6% --- Jerry Seinfeld (Seinfeld)
4) 5% --- Agent Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson, The X-Files)
5) 4% --- Detective Andy Sipowicz, NYPD Blue)
6) 3% --- Roseanne Conner (Rosanne)
7) 2% --- Amanda Woodward (Heather Locklear, Melrose Place)
8) 13% --- Not Sure
9) 16% --- None
Hopefully, all the Bible-believing
Christians in this poll, if there were any, were in Category #9,
finding no attribute in these people that would make them qualified
to be Sunday School teachers. Of course, a Unitarian-Universalist
Church would have precisely this type of people teaching their
Sunday Schools. Obviously, this article is not speaking about
True Christianity!
Before we go into detail on how TV shows and movies are presenting God and religion, we need to focus on the critical matter of Faith. According to the Bible, Saving Faith is very sharply defined. Faith is not a matter of vague belief, but a belief in the Person and Work of Jesus Christ. As Jesus so succinctly stated, in John 8:23-24, "Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins." Therefore, Saving Faith is totally, completely believing that Jesus Christ is Who He said He was, the Son of God, very God Himself, and the only way to Heaven. Armed with this kind of sharply defined Faith, a person can then take the next step to Salvation by accepting the substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus Christ, repenting of sin, and asking forgiveness through the shed blood of Jesus. Simple! Elegant! Producing Eternal Life!!!
But, the 'Faith' being
offered by these TV shows and movies is far more nebulous and
does not involve Jesus Christ at all!! In fact, faith is being
encouraged in any thing or person other than Jesus Christ. Listen
to the quotes offered by this article. "Some philosophers
of religion say that, if you can imagine faith, you have it, and,
conversely, when you can no longer imagine it, you have lost it."
(Page 26) What kind of utter nonsense is this? It is the nonsensical
faith offered in the New Age religion, which states that it does
not matter what, or in whom, you have faith, for there are many
roads leading to Heaven. What matters is that you believe in
something. This definition of faith, then, is typical
New Age, Secret Society thinking.
As we look at the various shows this
TV Guide article focuses on to make its point about God in TV
shows and movies, watch how many times Jesus Christ is glorified.
You will realize He is not glorified at all!! In many instances,
you need to become aware of what is not be mentioned
or offered, before you can understand the true nature of something.
In this instance, the complete lack of Jesus Christ in these
shows reveals the true nature of that with whom we are dealing.
We are not dealing with True Christianity here, but the false
doctrines of the New Age, dressed up somewhat to look like Christianity.
We need to make one final point before we get into our discussion of God in TV. Even if these TV shows accurately depicted the God of the Bible, they would not be aiding anyone in finding eternal salvation! Why? Because God alone, without Jesus Christ, will not save you. Consider this Truth, as taught in Scripture:
1) "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." (James 2:19) Obviously, the devils, or demons, are not saved, yet they fervently believe in God. The Apostle James was confronting the same type of false teaching with which we are dealing here -- the belief that believing in God alone is sufficient for salvation.
2) "Jesus saith unto him,
'I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me.' " (John 14:6) Once Jesus died on the
Cross, the First Covenant was abolished, and replaced by Jesus'
Second Covenant. At that moment, a person could only be saved
through the work, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Therefore,
when Freemasonry teaches a belief in God alone, they are dooming
their adherents to an eternity in Hell!
Now, let us begin our examination
of TV Guide's article, quoted above. We quote from a chapter entitled,
"God And Television: Getting Religion, pages 28-32) Let
us consider the writeups on the following TV shows.
Promised Land
"If TV is beginning to experience a spiritual revival, then CBS's Touched By An Angel and its spin-off, Promised Land, are devout evangelists. In a two-part PL this season, ex-con Julie ... longs to see the boy she gave up for adoption, but dreads revealing herself as his mother. 'What if he hates me'?, Julie asks visiting angel Monica (Roma Downey). Monica's counsel: Just as God offers his love without reservation, a mother's love is simply to let her son know she loves him. Producer Martha Williamson hopes her one-hour homilies are ecumenical. 'I've never believed that God was a specific denomination.' "
So very much is wrong with this one-sided
view of God. First, where in the Bible does it say that God "offers
his love without reservation"? My Bible tells me that, even
though "God is love" [1 John 4:8, 16], the same Bible
tells me that God has many other attributes to His Divine Nature.
God is also Justice, and He has anger over sin and He will punish
every single sin of the unrepentant or of the unsaved. {For a
more complete examination of God's Divine Nature, see Radio Transcript,
CE1005, The Perfections Of God}. When
you encourage people to think of God as being only Love, you adopt
the Freemason concept of God. You lead people to believe that,
in the end, God will allow anyone and everyone into Heaven, no
matter what they have done or believed in their life. Secondly,
the "Heavenly" counsel of Angel Monica is completely
false doctrine. Even though viewers consciously understand that
this is just a show, I believe that, subconsciously, they will
give great adherence to the advice of this "Angel",
Monica, because she is "from Heaven". Thirdly, we can
see that this type belief is leading Americans into the deadly
embrace of Ecumenism. The Ecumenical Movement is leading the
world into the One World Religion of the Antichrist. This is
the Plan, and Roman Catholicism is leading the way., as you can
see if you are watching your daily news.
Homicide: Life On The Street
"Even the most gruesome urban
carnage can't unsettle Homicide's hardened detectives. But on
a recent episode of the NBC series, two rather routine DOAs wobble
detectives Frank Pembleton (Andre Braugher) and John Munch (Richard
Belzer). Pembleton, a lapsed Catholic, ponders an elderly woman
who dies smiling, with a rosary nearby. Munch pursues the murderer
of a Jewish woman he adored in high school, which prompts him
to warily test his own Judaism. Neither cop experiences an Epiphany
by show's end." (Page 29)
The unmistakable lesson provided
here is that no established religion truly has the answers to
"Why Bad Things Happen To Good People". Such misunderstanding
can easily cause someone to lose faith in their religion, and
in their God. In both Judaism and Roman Catholicism, the God
worshipped is the True God of the Bible. Even though he is misrepresented
by both Catholicism and Judaism, the average viewer will not realize
this, but will be encouraged to look for life's answers in another
god, another religion.
No one ever stepped in here to explain
that we live in a sin-scarred world, where the innocent do suffer
pain and death. No one explains that God will make all things
right on the final Judgment Day, nor that God, in His sovereignty,
will allow bad things to happen to innocent people for a variety
of reasons. The most common reason is to set the stage where
people will turn to God in desperation or despair, for salvation.
Or, perhaps God is setting the stage where his glory will be
made manifest, either through a person becoming saved, or through
a miracle God is going to perform, or through the shining, unshakeable
faith being displayed by someone who is saved, and who is going
through the trial with faith intact and unsullied.
Babylon 5
"The view of religion in the
syndicated Babylon 5 isn't exactly conventional
-- after all, the show's creative force, J. Michael Straczynski,
is an atheist -- but in its second season finale, 'The Fall
of Night', the series posed some of the most profound questions
about the Supreme Being in TV memory: what do we see -- what do
we want to see, what do we think we ought to see, what
are we culturally and genetically conditioned to see -- when we
think we're gazing upon God." (Page 29)
Do you find it a little disconcerting
that an atheist would be entrusted to write a script which ponders
the question of what God looks like? Of course, we know that
God cannot be seen because He is spirit [John 4:24, "God
is a Spirit"]. We know, further, the Biblical teaching that
no person could look upon God and live [Exodus 19:21].
But, the key teaching of this particular
show is that, no matter what we are seeing when we think
we are seeing God, it is all a mirage. What we think
we see is conditioned by our religion, our culture, and/or our
preconceived ideas. You see, there really is no God, so whatever
you think he looks like is fine. Everyone can have their own
concept of God, and everyone would be right! In fact, this idea
smacks of the New Age belief that all this world is an illusion.
This is perfect conditioning for the appearance of Antichrist.
Living Single
"The Fox sitcom cast prays
together before the taping of each episode, and the show is not
afraid to deal with devotion. In a recent show, Khadijah (Queen
Latifah) attends church services after a two-year absence. Her
nervousness about returning is played for plenty of laughs, but
the show's real message is quite sincere: Spirituality is a matter
of the heart and soul, not statuary and stained glass. 'I hope
that episode encouraged some people to get back to the church,'
says executive producer Yvette Lee Bowser. 'After all, it doesn't
matter how often you go, but that you keep God at the center of
your life.' " (Page 30)
This counterfeit Christian message
is truly more close to the Truth than the others. Still, we see
no mention of Jesus Christ, only God. Further, if God is the
center of your life, you will be a regular attender of church
services, because your heart and soul will cry out for the fellowship
with other Christian believers, and the worship of Jesus Christ.
Finally, this show seems to propagate
the false message that one of the ways to get to Heaven is to
attend church regularly.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
"After decades of Trekian flirtation
with religious topics, the syndicated DS9 series
has gone where no Trek has gone before: overtly
exploring the nature of divinity. This season, Captain Sisko
(Avery Brooks) who had been proclaimed 'Emissary' after appearing
to fulfill a Bajoran religious prophecy, is challenged for the
title when a contender surfaces. It is left to a group of holy
beings to determine the true Emissary."
As we have stated on many previous
occasions, Star Trek has been one of the most effective conditioning
vehicles ever for the promotion of the principles
of the coming One World Government, Economy, and Religion of
the New World Order. But, this series seems to go even further.
When Captain Sisko is proclaimed "Emissary' --or Messiah
-- after he seemingly fulfills Bajoran religious prophecy, we
see that a controversy breaks out. Some are contending that Captain
Sisko is truly the fulfillment of this prophecy, making him the
legitimate Messiah. However, others are convinced he is not
the fulfillment of this Bajoran prophecy. To settle this issue,
a group of 'holy men' is convened to settle this issue once and
for all.
On the surface, this scenario seems
reminiscent of the controversy which will erupt when Antichrist
arises on the world scene. Many people will believe him; others
will be skeptical. This show encourages the formation of a group
of 'holy men' who will stamp their approval on Messiah. But,
most significantly, this is the scenario that will
occur when Antichrist will claim to be the Jewish Messiah. After
Antichrist arises, a group of Ultra-Orthodox Jewish 'Holy Men'
will convene to consider his claims. Of course, Jesus Christ
stated that these 'Holy Men' will accept the claims of
Antichrist as their Messiah, (John 5:43), thus setting the stage
for the confirmation of the national covenant (Daniel 9:27), and
the beginning of the 7-year Tribulation Period.
Chicago Hope
"A moral dilemma: What if you
were a doctor who could save the life of a sick person, but the
patient refused treatment on religious grounds? What if that
patient were your father? This was the ethical conundrum [puzzle
or enigma] the crafty writers of CBS's Chicago Hope threw
in the path of cardiothoracic surgeon Kate Austin (Christine Lahti)
last year: her unbending trust in rational science ("Medicine
is my faith, my religion") versus her father's unyielding
belief in Christian Science and the power of prayer. ("God
can heal me"). Ultimately, even after the courts had declared
him legally incompetent, freeing Austin to go ahead with the operation,
the doctor respected her father's wishes and watched with anxious
passivity as his prayers -- and hers -- went unanswered. "
(Page 30)
This is a crafty script, all right.
In this script, the false religion, Christian Science, is pitted
against the New Age religion of science and technology. But the
average reader will equate True Christianity with Christian Science;
therefore, when Christian Science is shown in this show as being
patently false, the average reader will conclude that all Christianity
is similarly false!
Further, the symbolism is strong,
of the Old Paradigm being represented by the dying Father versus
the New Paradigm being represented by the young, progressive,
smart, and successful daughter surgeon. Of course, the Old Paradigm
is the Old World Order, i.e., Christianity and the Western Civilization
which it has built. The New Paradigm is the coming New World
Order.
Even after the Old Paradigm fought
against the New with all its resources and all its Faith, its
life could not be sustained, and it died. Long live the New Paradigm,
the New World Order! We cannot miss the symbolism, too, of a
misplaced faith in religion and prayer to accomplish anything.
And, I repeat, it does not matter one whit that we know Christian
Science to be a non-Christian cult. The average American viewer
does not know the difference, and believe me, they lump us Protestants
in with the Roman Catholics, the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Christian
Scientists. When the viewer is disgusted with the obviously ridiculous
beliefs of Christian Science, they are also disgusted with us.
Welcome to the broad brush of the propagandist!
NYPD Blue
"Even for the blunt and
frequently profane Andy Sipowicz, they were harsh words: bellowing
at a priest that God 'can kiss my ass'. Of course, Andy (Dennis
Franz) was in the middle of a tragic trial that would daunt even
Job: the barroom shooting of his son. That senseless death plunged
the volatile cop into a turbulent, emotional search for faith
in a world he knew firsthand was filled with godless horrors.
Over two seasons, in several unforgettable episodes, ABC's NYPD
Blue has examined Andy's pain and grief through a religious prism.
The set pieces were riveting: Sipowicz confronting the priest
in tortured anguish, falling off the wagon, jeopardizing his life
with his new family, and praying to God to protect both of his
children during his infant son's baptism. In a surprisingly mystical
climax, he met up with the dead Andy Jr. and Jesus (in the guise
of a truck driver sipping coffee in a diner) during two sad and
violent dreams that brought Sipowicz the only kind of peace he
can know -- temporary and fragile. In the dreams, Christs speaks
in Sipowicz's language, using some obscene words as he tells Sipowicz,
'I told you what to do: Speak through me.' "
"Says executive producer David
Milch, 'Christ is the part of Sipowicz's consciousness that tells
him that, in forgiving himself, he will find the ability to part
with his son.' " (Page 31)
We should expect that the terribly
offensive NYPD Blue should deliver the most offensive religious
message, and true to form, it did. I have heard of serious blasphemy
before, but this blasphemy really hurts. It is highly offensive
to me for a rude, crude mortal man to speak about Omnipotent God
in this manner. Furthermore, he chose to cuss God out to a Catholic
priest, representative of clergy. Yet, this rude, crude Andy
dares pray to God when his children's safety is in danger, even
though there is not one bit of evidence that Andy repented of
his sin before uttering his prayer. This kind of prayer is literally
a man praying to himself, just as Jesus pointed out in His parable
of the proud Pharisee and the humble sinner praying in the Temple.
(Luke 18:10, "Two men went up into the temple to pray; the
one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and
prayed thus with himself ...")
The most damning part of this script
was when Andy had a mystical dream in which he speaks with his
dead son! This communication with the dead is absolutely forbidden
in Scripture. Furthermore, Jesus Christ appeared to Andy as a
truck driver that used the same type of profanity as does Andy!
This debasing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is both deplorable
and very sad, for it reveals the depths America has sunk spiritually.
Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman
"TV has always loved miracles,
especially around Christmastime: Put a character in impossible
straits and then rescue him after a stirring affirmation of faith.
In this season's holiday episode 'Season of Miracles', CBS's
Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, gave this familiar formula a subversive
twist: what if the miracle never occurs? When the town's reverend
goes blind just before Christmas, prayers and medicines don't
bring his sight back, leading to a crisis of faith for both the
reverend and the doctor. 'Cures don't always come', says producer-writer
Carl Binder. 'What we settled on was the miracle was not the cure,
but in finding the strength to accept what has happened.' "
This episode comes close to a Biblical
finale, when the reverend and the doctor decide to accept that
the miracle healing was not going to happen. However, we do NOT
see that they decided this based upon the Biblical principle that
God's Will is not always to heal. We do not see a Person called
God in this episode. We almost are lead to believe that God is
not a Person, but a Force; in point of fact, that is exactly what
is in view here. New Agers do not believe God is a Person but
a force, thus fulfilling the prophecy in Daniel 11:38.
The X-Files
"A satanic hit man stalks a
boy with authentic stigmata. It sounded like the plot of a macabre
horror movie, but Fox's The X-Files recently used the story to
explore issues of faith and doubt. Ironically, the usually credulous
Mulder (David Duchovny) rejects the divine explanation, while
the cooly skeptical Scully (Gillian Anderson) is drawn to it.
'I think faith informs almost every episode', says creator Chris
Carter. 'I'm a skeptic who desperately wants some reason to believe.'
"
When a religious skeptic writes
TV shows about religious faith, you are undoubtedly going to get
a muddled mess, which is exactly what the X-Files represents.
There may not be a more Satanic TV show on the air right now
that The X-Files. It is full of Satanism, and occult practices.
Demonic hosts are the bad guys every night. An entire generation
is getting very comfortable with the practices of the occult,
which is a necessary ingredient in conditioning people to accept
the occult world of Antichrist. Is this why we call them "Generation
X", because of their affinity for X-Files?
Early Edition
"God works in mysterious ways,
like giving Gary Hobson (Kyle Chandler) his daily newspaper 24
hours before the rest of the world so he can intervene to prevent
calamities. And when Gary has needed help -- for instance, when
he was trapped by a building's collapse -- a mysterious paper-fetching
cat has padded to his rescue. Divine intervention? Executive
producer Bob Brush prefers to leave the CBS's series' religious
stance murky. "There is no question that some kind of force
clearly steers events, but we specifically stay away from identifying
what the nature is." (Page 32)
Again, the major spiritual problem
here is that God is never murky. By leaving the "nature
of the spirituality" unclear, you open the door for misinterpretation.
And, did you notice the statement by Bob Brush, the executive
producer, where he stated that some kind of "force"
steers events? Again, this belief is standard New Age Antichrist
fare, that God is an impersonal, unknowable "force".
Do you see how these TV shows depicting "God" actually prepare the audience to accept the occult claims of Antichrist? We see that most of the episodes depict a crisis of faith on the part of one of the characters, and that many episodes depict God as an impersonal "force". At a time when Americans are thirsting for spiritual drink, Satan is stepping up to give them his polluted waters.
Therefore, instead of being pleased
that Americans are thirsting again for spiritual sustenance, we
have to again groan that what they are feeding upon is spiritual
poison, dressed up to look like true spiritual food and drink.
America is treading the path which Israel trod in 600 B.C., when
God was about to bring King Nebuchadnezzar into Israel to militarily
destroy the country, as judgment for repeated, unrepented national
sin. After rejecting the True, Living God, Israel then turned
to idols. Then, at the very end of this sorry time, God blinded
Israel's eyes so the Jews could not see the Truth any longer.
America rejected God and threw Him
out of her institutions, beginning in the early 1960's. We turned
to the idols of rampant Materialism -- loving possessions, money,
and physical pleasures far more than the True God. Now, after
discovering that these non-spiritual idols do not satisfy, Americans
are turning back to spiritual wells to satisfy their spiritual
thirst. However, Satan has again cleverly intervened to hold
up to us his false, antichristian spirituality, while God has
allowed him to take this action against us. Remember Jesus' warning
that "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath
sent me draw him:" (John 6:44) Therefore, the Holy Spirit
has to draw men and women to the Truth, and if He has chosen to
begin the final act of judgment, by blinding us to His Truth,
then Satan is free to step in, deceive us, and assure our final
judgment.
Certainly, this muddled, confused,
and flat-out wrong view of God cannot have come from the Holy
Spirit; therefore, we must conclude it comes from Satan. Jesus
said that we shall know them by their fruits, that a bad tree
cannot produce good fruit (Matthew 7:16-20). This crop of BAD
FRUIT, depicted above, can only have come from Satan. Most of
these shows depict that the way to get in right standing with
God is by doing good things for your fellow man, what the Bible
calls 'good works'. This is one of the biggest lies ever perpetrated
on mankind, and is the subject of many of the writings of the
Apostle Paul. However, Freemasonry teaches 'good works' as the
path to Heaven.
This is probably the final step toward
God's physical judgment upon us, just one more indication that
the appearance of Antichrist is close. Now that we have identified
this problem, in this Part One article on TV's depiction of "God",
we shall proceed to Part Two, where we show that this depiction
of "God" is rather typical Freemasonry, not Biblical.
These current crop of "spiritual"
shows depicting the New Age, Freemason "god of forces"
rather than the God of the Bible, is just one more Sign of the
Times, just one more indication that we are getting very close
to the appearance of Antichrist. A "substantial proportion"
of the American public is now conditioned properly to accept him.
Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, but have been very lukewarm in your spiritual walk with Him, you need to immediately ask Him for forgiveness and for renewal. He will instantly forgive you, and fill your heart with the joy of the Holy Spirit. Then, you need to begin a daily walk of prayer and personal Bible Study.
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, but have come to realize His reality and the approaching End of the Age, and want to accept His FREE Gift of Eternal Life, you can also do so now, in the privacy of your home. Once you accept Him as Savior, you are spiritually Born Again, and are as assured of Heaven as if you were already there. Then, you can rest assured that the Kingdom of Antichrist will not touch you spiritually. If you would like to become Born Again, turn to our Salvation Page now.
Finally, we would love to hear from you.
You can contact us by mail or email.
God bless you.
