THE CUTTING EDGE

In all Harry Potter books, witches and warlocks are conjuring up all sorts of different spells in order to get revenge on an enemy or to play a trick on someone.  In fact, students casting spells upon other students has gotten so bad that Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry issued a proclamation forbidding such practices. Some of these spells pose a great difficulty to the victim because they are not easily reversed, or cancelled.  Throughout the various books, anti-spell conjurations and/or potions are concocted just to reverse a powerful spell.

Conditions at Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry also make things more difficult for the student in this regard.  There are four fraternity houses on campus, three White Magic and one Black Magick.  These four fraternities are:

1.  Slytherin -- "the house that had turned out more Dark witches and wizards than any other." [p. 77] "… being able to talk to snakes was what Salazar Slytherin was famous for. That's why the symbol of Slytherin is a serpent." [p. 196]  It seems that the really evil members of Slytherin had green eyes, to match the color of their serpent symbol.  Later, in an effort to show that Harry is not truly a Dark Lord, we are told that he also had green eyes; however, since he did not make the choices to follow the Left-hand Dark Path, he is not the same as Lord Valdemort.

2.  Gryffindor -- a White Magic Fraternity House.  This was the house to which the magical Sorting Hat sent Harry Potter.  However, the hat nearly sent Harry to Slytherin, since he could sense the Dark Magic characteristics present within Harry.  Only after Harry complained about being sent to Slytherin did the Sorting Hat send him there.

3.  Hufflepuff -- White Magic Fraternity House

4.  Ravenclaw -- White Magic Fraternity House

Not much is stated about these last two fraternity houses, except that they had turned out "their share" of fine witches and wizards over the centuries. 

Herbology Class was taught by Professor Sprout, a fitting name for someone who teaches about plants, don't you think?  However, these are no ordinary plants and Professor Sprout is no ordinary teacher.  The plants are magical plants found only in the Fantasy World of Witches and Warlocks.  They are used mightily to make potions and anti-potions for witches to use in their incantations and conjurations, and to be used to reverse a spell put on a victim by another witch.

The Mandrake plant is just such a plant.  Let us pick up the story at this point, beginning at page 91:

"Professor Sprout was standing behind a trestle bench in the center of the greenhouse.  About twenty pairs of different-colored earmuffs were lying on the bench.  When Harry had taken his place between Ron and Hermione , she said, 'We'll be repotting Mandrakes today.  Now, who can tell me the properties of the Mandrake'."

"To nobody's surprise, Hermione's hand was first into the air.  'Mandrake, or Mandragora, is a powerful restorative', said Hermione, sounding as usual as though she had swallowed the textbook.  'It is used to return people who have been transfigured or cursed, back to their original state'."

" 'Excellent.  Ten points to Gryffindor', said Professor Sprout.  'The Mandrake forms an essential part of most antidotes,  It is also, however, dangerous.  Who can tell me why?' "

Once again, Hermione's hand was first to be raised, as she explained that the cry of the Mandrake is fatal to anyone who hears it.  When Professor Sprout exclaimed that this answer was correct, I was puzzled because no plant of which I am aware has any kind of a cry capability at all.  However, as I was soon to learn, this Mandrake was no ordinary plant.  Let us pick up the story dialog again.

"She pointed to a row of deep trays as she spoke, and everyone shuffled forward for a better look.  A hundred or so tufty little plants, purplish green in color, were growing there in rows.  They looked quite unremarkable to Harry, who didn't have the slightest idea what Hermione meant by the 'cry' of the Mandrake."

" 'Everyone take a pair of earmuffs', said Professor Sprout.  There was a scramble as everyone tried to seize a pair that wasn't pink and fluffy. 'When I tell you to put them on, make sure your ears are completely covered', said Professor Sprout.  'When it is safe to remove them, I will give you the thumbs-up.  Right -- earmuffs on'."

"Harry snapped the earmuffs over his ears.  They shut out sound completely.  Professor Sprout put the pink, fluffy pair over her own ears, rolled up the sleeves of her robes, grasped one of the tufty plants firmly, and pulled hard."

"Harry let out a gasp of surprise that no one could hear.  Instead of roots, a small, muddy, and extremely ugly baby popped out of the earth.  The leaves were growing right out of his head.  He had pale green, mottled skin, and was clearly bawling at the top of his lungs."

For crying out loud, Rowling wrote the story line so that a human baby formed the root system of the Mandrake Plant!  But, this was not a normal human baby, evidently, as Rowling tells us that he was "extremely ugly". But, as you can see in the picture, above, this is a fully-formed human baby in every respect, with the one minor exception that the trunk and leaves of the Mandrake were coming straight out of the top of the baby's head.

"Professor Sprout took a large plant pot from under the table and plunged the Mandrake into it, burying him in dark, damp compost until only the tufted leaves were visible."

I shuddered at the use of the word, "burying him", because that signified to me that she was burying this infant alive, an act that would kill a normal human baby.  Further, she was burying him in the compost, which we are told later in the book [P. 95] is made of dragon dung.  The entire picture was extremely unsettling to me, as I am sure it is to you; however, can you imagine the psychological shock such a word picture would deliver to the mind of an 8-10 year-old girl?  Or, to a child of any age, for that matter?

Then, Professor Sprout told the class:  " 'As our Mandrakes are only seedlings, their cries won't kill yet', she said calmly as though she'd just done nothing more exciting than water a begonia. 'However, they will knock you out for several hours ..." [p. 92-93]

What kind of message is Rowling delivering here?  I can think of several possibilities, as I am sure you can, also.  These possibilities are:

1.  While these certainly look like fully formed human babies, they are presented as NOT human, but only the root system of the Mandrake plant.  I am reminded of the nonsensical argument put forth by the Abortion Rights slaughterers that the baby forming within the mother's womb is not really human, but only tissue matter they call a "fetus".

2.  Since these "babies" were "extremely ugly", and since they screamed at the top of their lungs -- just as the picture depicts, I wonder if they are "unwanted" babies.  If they are unwanted, then the propaganda of the Pro-Abortionists state that it would be better if they were "eliminated" so they will not be a burden on society.

3.  His skin was a "pale green ", and "mottled".  Throughout the book, the color green was depicted as being the color of the Dark Lords, and their leader, the evil Lord Valdemort.  Since we know that the symbol of the House of Slytherin is a serpent, we know that the top ruler of the Dark Lords is Satan.  I wonder if these little babies are being raised simply to be sacrificed, a practice we know is carried out within Dark Satanic covens?

At this point, the story drifts away from the Mandrake Plant, and into the adventure of the conflict between the White Magic fraternity house, Gryffindor and the Black Magick house, Slytherin.  This conflict boils down to Harry Potter of Gryffindor and Draco Malfoy of Slytherin.  Of course, the overall background of this battle is the opening of the Chamber of Secrets , which had been established in the first place by the Black Magic Salazar Slytherin in an effort to "cleanse" Hogwart's School of all "unworthy" students of Witchcraft and Magic.

When we pick up the plot involving the need for the Mandrake as a "restorative potion", to return someone back from a powerful curse, a lot of action has occurred.  The battle between Harry Potter and the unseen Chamber of Secrets monster has resulted in several people becoming Petrified, including Hermione, best friend and compatriot of Harry Potter.  They are not dead, but are totally stiff and unmoving, as this very powerful curse has turned them into petrified pieces of human flesh.

While these victims were lying in the hospital wing, the rest of the students were on the verge of panic, especially our heroes, Harry Potter and his right-hand compatriot, Ron Weasley.  However, Madam Pomfrey, the head of the hospital, kept assuring them that the Mandrakes would be maturing soon, in enough time to restore Hermione. 

As the storyline returns to the Mandrake plant, I learn a very interesting little fact that makes me realize we are not talking about murdering babies, but fully grown people!  To get the human "stew" necessary for this "Restorative Potion", these Mandrake plants have to pass through a stage where their acne has cleared up!

"... Madam Pomfrey was pleased to report that the Mandrakes were becoming moody and secretive, meaning that they were fast leaving childhood. 'The moment their acne clears up, they'll be ready for repotting again', Harry heard her telling Filch kindly one afternoon.  'And after that, it won't be long until we're cutting them up and stewing them . You'll have Mrs. Norris [petrified cat] back in no time.' " [Emphasis added]

This paragraph is simply pregnant with facts about these Mandrake plants:

First, we are told they are children!  We are told they are fast leaving "childhood", a period of life reserved for children, by definition of the word -- human children.

Secondly, we are told they are becoming "moody and secretive", emotions unique to human beings. Further, these types of emotions are typical for boys and girls as they pass through puberty. 

Finally, we are told that these children can be killed once their acne clears up.  In children, acne clears up when they are in their late teens, to early twenties.

Then, after the acne has cleared up, and the children have been repotted, they can be cut up and stewed to make the "Restorative Potion".  In other words, human beings in their late teens or early twenties will be murdered, cut up like beets, and their human flesh stewed!

How disgusting, how vile, and how evil this part of Harry Potter truly is!  In Potter's White Magic Witchcraft, we now see human sacrifice occurring, even though we get email constantly from White Magic practitioners -- like Wiccans -- who protest mightily that they do NOT practice human sacrifice.  Here, we see that this type of human sacrifice is exceedingly important to the operation of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry specifically and of Witchcraft generally.

Furthermore, this type of human sacrifice is actually needed in some types of spells and magic.  A former Black Magick Satanist has emailed to inform me:  "The flying potions main ingredient is the fat from a sacrificed unbaptised male child below a certain age.  This potion, once completed, will allow the witch or warlock that consumes it the ability to fly. This is, I am sure, where witches flying on brooms came from."

The next time you see a witch flying a broomstick, you will know that a human being paid for this ability with their life!  Once again, we can see that author Rowling thoroughly understands Witchcraft.  She gets her Witchcraft correct in the Harry Potter books.  In the coming weeks, we shall further demonstrate this fact, in follow-up articles.

Some will undoubtedly email me, defending this human sacrifice, saying that these really weren't human, they were Mandrakes in this "literary device" of the novel.  This kind of nonsense is identical to the renaming of an unborn baby in the womb, a "fetus", or a "tissue"; this type of literary device is intended to take the humanity out of the original word, and has worked extremely well in killing 40 million unborn babies.  These Mandrake humans had the same appearance as humans, the same maturing cycle, the same emotions, and the same problem called acne.  As my Daddy used to say, "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, it is a duck"!  These are human sacrifices, which we should expect if the plot of the novel revolves around White and Black Magic Witchcraft!

Does anyone want to email me to defend this practice?  Maybe someone should email Chuck Colson and Christianity Today to tell them that this demonic practice of sacrificing young teens in the flower of their lives is not only totally Un-Christian, but that it is occurring in the supernatural world, the Fantasy world, of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. 

Furthermore, once these student witches and wizards graduate, they will enter the Muggles world to live their lives.  When they are called upon to perform this Restorative Potion, they will be forced to resort to real human sacrifice in the real world!

Maybe someone should tell Focus On The Family that they should withdraw their conditional positive recommendation that some people under certain conditions, and with "proper " adult supervision can read Harry Potter and still be consistent with Christian principles.  Maybe someone needs to tell them that no Christian, under any circumstance, and no matter what age, needs to be reading such Satanic filth.  Perhaps someone should be telling them that the Apostle Paul covered this situation perfectly 2,000 years ago.  Listen to his command, prompted by the Holy Spirit:

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." [Philippians 4:8; Emphasis added]

Or, take the words of Jesus Himself on this subject:  "Come out from her, My people, so that you may not share in her sins, neither participate in Her plagues." [Revelation 18:4] 

Separation from sin is the only Biblical method of dealing with severe sin, such as Witchcraft and Wizardry!  Do not be deceived.  You say you want to reach the people reading Harry Potter, so you feel you have to read them, also?  This kind of thinking is human thinking, and human reasoning; this is the kind of thinking God spoke of when He said, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." [Proverbs 14:12]

No Christian child should ever, ever be subjected to this kind of horror.  I would think young girls, especially, would be especially troubled in their emotions by this spectacle of murdering young teenagers simply and only to get the stew meat necessary to make this witches potion.

Further, we need to follow God's commands in this matter.  "thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,  Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee." [Deuteronomy 18:9-12]

Through Harry Potter books, our precious children are learning witchcraft.  In God's sight, it does not matter one wit whether they actually practice witchcraft later in their lives, they are learning it quite well in these Harry Potter books.  In this passage in Deuteronomy, notice that God drove the people out of their land flowing with milk and honey because they had practiced these Satanic activities.  How did God drive them out?  He drove them out militarily, with the edge of the sword.  In a number of instances, God commanded the Israelite leadership to kill man, woman, child, and in some cases, animal, in order to properly purge the countryside so that the Jews could live there in purity before the Lord.  Do not be deceived, as God never changes.  What made Him mad 4,000 years ago, makes Him equally mad today. 

SEPARATION FROM SIN IS THE ONLY BIBLICAL COMMANDMENT

Perhaps now you are beginning to see the reasons God unleashes His fury so terribly during the Great Tribulation Period that two-thirds of the population of the world dies, man, woman, child, and animal.  God further reveals that sin defiles the land on which people dwell, but then God reveals that the types of sin which God calls an "abomination", above, defiles the land really badly.  Listen:

"And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants. Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation ... (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;) That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it ... For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off [executed] from among their people. Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God." [Leviticus 18:25-30; Emphasis added]

But, you still protest, how can I reach the Harry Potter fan if I do not read the books also, to discover what they are all about?  The Biblical principle is that you never become part of the world to reach the world.  Jesus said, "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." [John 12:32]

This is how you reach the Harry Potter fans, lifting up the truth of the Gospel to them, praying for them, and allowing the Holy Spirit to convict them of sin, all the while carefully observing the warning of Jude:  "Strive to save others, snatching them out of the fire; on others take pity but with fear, loathing even the garment spotted by the flesh and polluted by their sensuality." [Jude 23, Amplified]

Do not be deceived; Harry Potter defiles the spiritual garment of he who reads them, including Christians.  It is high time for true Christians to separate themselves from Harry Potter so God can use them mightily to spiritually rescue others caught in this Satanic net.

One final matter:  if you want to email or write us to defend this human sacrifice depicted in Chamber of Secrets , do not attempt to defend it on the basis that it is just a "literary device".  The last time we Christians listened to that kind of nonsense it was defending the abomination of Pornography, because of the Freedom of Speech protection.  We reject out of hand the entire concept that abominable sin is all right if we teach it under the fig-leaf guise of "literary device".  What patent nonsense, and an extremely abominable sin in the sight of God.

When children from ages 7-18 are going so mad over the Satanic filth of Harry Potter, we know we are looking at one of the firm signs of the End of the Age.  With all the other signs pointing to the soon appearance of Antichrist, we now know that the children of today have a Pied Piper by the name of Harry Potter to lead them straight into the Pit.

If you want to email Focus On The Family, telling them exactly what you think of their conditional endorsement of Harry Potter -- even after they admitted it was "filled" with Witchcraft, you have to write them, since they discontinued their email capability several months ago.  Their address is:  Focus on the Family, Colorado Springs, CO 80995.  We consider their conditional acceptance of Harry Potter as more insidious than an outright approval, since it opens the door just a crack and will result in providing too many children with the figleaf excuse they want to be able to read Potter.  Further, the argument that Christian children need to read Potter to be able to "witness" to the unbelieving about its dangers is unbiblical and patent nonsense, as we have noted above.  We need only see the words "witches", "wizards", and "magic" to know that the Bible commands us to not touch that which is unclean!  Period.  End of paragraph.

To let Chuck Colson know what you think of his enthusiastic support of Harry Potter, click on http://www.breakpoint.org/ .  Mr. Colson either does not understand Witchcraft, or he never read the books he is endorsing, or he is deliberately misleading us.  You might tell him that Fantasy to the Satanist is just as real as the real world, but is a parallel existence .  When a Witch goes into the Fantasy world, they are contacting -- even entering -- the supernatural world, thus making Colson's "assurance" absolutely false.  All of the activity in Hogwarts is in the supernatural world!

Further, in the Muggle [non-magical] world, many contacts are made with various ghosts and goblins, again making Colson's "assurance" completely false.

Truly, the popularity of Harry Potter, and the terrible acceptance by Christian ministries, is another huge sign that we are at the End of the Age.

Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.
