THE CUTTING EDGE

When God established His Chosen People, the Jews, and told Abraham that they would become a very special nation, He uttered a very prophetic promise.  While this promise has been published in an untold number of different ways and in an untold number of venues, I think it is an excellent place in which to start this article.  God's promise to Abraham serves as an excellent prism through which the hatred of the Arabs can be viewed, giving us a perspective that is true, and that captures God's perspective on this subject.  L:Listen to what God promised Abraham:

"I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee."  [Genesis 12:2-3]  History records that God has remained faithful to this promise, both in blessing and cursing.  Many Bible scholars remain convinced that one reason God has so blessed the United States is that we have continuously given the Jews freedom to practice their religion and run their businesses and families as they see fit; further, America was the major country which backed the efforts of the Zionists to establish Israel again as a nation immediately after World War II.  Then, in the many wars following 1948, America has continuously come to Israel's aid, especially in the 1973 Yom Kippur War, when President Nixon rapidly emptied America's NATO supplies to give them to Israel so she could turn the tide of battle.

The Arabs have fanned the flames of their historic hatred of the Jews to extremely white-hot levels, as we detail in NEWS1240 .  Since God is absolutely true to His Word, and because He never changes His mind or His promises, we can be assured that He is extremely angry with the Arabs for their persecution of Israel and for the wanton murder of her people.  But, you say, God is very long-suffering and does not like to execute judgment that will result in the death of people.  You are right, and I submit to you that God has given the Arabs almost 2,000 years to change their attitude toward the Jew.  Since they have not done so, especially since Israel came back as a nation in 1948, we can also be assured that His judgment is almost ready to hit full-force. 

Another reason God's judgment is about to hit full force is that the entire world lies in the doorway to the appearance of Antichrist.  During this time, God is going to bring devastating judgment upon all sinners and upon all false religions.  The Arab religion of Mohammedism certainly qualifies as a false religion, definitely in line with God's End Time judgments.

We are going to examine some of the many prophecies of judgment against the Arab which God issued in the Old Testament; please keep in mind that these each of these quoted prophecies are all firmly set in End of the Age, as you will discover by examining the full context of the text from which we quote.

GOD'S PROPHECIES AGAINST ARABS

                    1. Joel 3:1-9, Selected Verses [Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

Edom is identified by the Holman Bible Dictionary as "the Edomites as descendants of Esau, Jacob's brother (Gen. 19:30-36; 36)".  Thus, we can see why God would use both Edom and Esau in this one passage. The Holman Bible Dictionary also noted that these cousins to the Jews quickly became bitter enemies.  "Yet, as is often the case with personal relations, the closest relative can be a bitter enemy. According to the biblical writers, enmity between Israel and Edom began already with Jacob and Esau (when the former stole the latter's birthright) and was exacerbated at the time of the Israelite Exodus from Egypt (when the Edomites refused the Israelites passage through their land)..." All though the Old Testament, the Edomites were involved in warfare against the Jew, culminating in their close cooperation with the King of Babylon in the 597 B.C. era, when they took advantage of Israel's helplessness against the Babylonians to exact their own revenge.

As far as the "House of Esau" is concerned, I had no idea who the modern descendents might be, so I emailed the Israeli Embassy website to ask them.  They emailed back, saying that the modern day descendents of the House of Esau were the Palestinian people, led within Israel by Yassir Arafat.  Suddenly, everything fell into place concerning God's mighty words of judgment in this section of Obadiah is concerned.  No one is more active against the Jews of Israel than Arafat's PLO, and her sister organization, Hamas.  These are the Palestinians [House of Esau] in the above Obadiah passage, whom God has promised to wipe out 100%, man, woman, and child. 

Their destruction will be so complete, they will be as though they had never existed!  Notice, also, that God identified the Jewish nation as the means by which He shall bring about this devastating judgment.

The stage is now set for just such an annihilation.  As we saw in NEWS1240 , the Arabs are planning just such an annihilation of the Jew, but God has long ago issued the general rule that, when the wicked plan for the destruction of God's anointed people, they shall fall into the same trap which they prepared! [See Proverbs 1:18;  Psalm 7:14-16; 9:15-17; 21:11-12; 35:1-8; 37:12-15; 64:1-9; 94:13; 140:10;141:10;  Ecclesiastes 10:8a; Job 5:13.] As you can see, God takes a very dim view of anyone planning a death trap for His people, Israel.  No one in modern history has prepared such an elaborate death trap for the nation, Israel, as has Yassir Arafat, Hamas, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon.

3.  Isaiah 2:11-13  [Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

"The proud looks of man shall be brought low and the haughtiness of men shall be humbled, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. For there shall be a day of the Lord of hosts against all that is proud and haughty and against all that is lifted up, and it shall be brought low. The wrath of God will begin by coming down against all the cedars of Lebanon, west of the Jordan that are high and lifted up, and against all the oaks of Bashan, east of the Jordan." 

I do not know if you have been paying attention to the Arab rhetoric in the past decade, but if you have, you will have noticed that it has reached new heights of pride against anything Jewish.  Furthermore, Arab propagandists have poured forth a torrent of words building up Arabs and denigrating Jews, even to the point of calling them Nazis! [NEWS1240 ]

4. Zechariah 12:1-9  [Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

"The burden or oracle -- the thing to be lifted up -- of the word of the Lord concerning Israel. Thus says the Lord ... Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup or bowl of reeling to all the peoples round about, and against and upon Judah also it will be in the siege against Jerusalem. And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all peoples: all who lift it or burden themselves with it shall be sorely wounded. And all the nations of the earth shall come and gather together against it. In that day, says the Lord, I will smite every horse of the armies that contend against Jerusalem with terror and panic, and his rider with madness; and I will open My eyes and regard with favor the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the opposing nations with blindness … In that day, I will make the chiefs of Judah like a big, blazing pot among sticks of wood and like a flaming torch among sheaves of grain; and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left; they of Jerusalem shall yet again dwell and sit securely in their own place, in Jerusalem … In that day will the Lord guard and defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he who is spiritually feeble and stumbles among them in that day of perseuction shall become strong and noble like David; and the house of David shall maintain its supremacy like God, like the Angel of the Lord Who is before them. And it shall be in that day, that I will make it My aim to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem."

This End of the Age prophecy is postively amazing as it relates to current events.   Currently, Israel in general and Jerusalem in particular, are surrounded, "on the right hand and on the left" with fanatic Arabs who would like nothing better than to annihilate every Jew in the Middle East.  All Arab leaders currently planning against Israel should take notice that God has promised to make Jerusalem a "cup or bowl of reeling" to "all the peoples round about ". In other words, God is going to cause these wicked anti-Semites to think of a plan to destroy Jerusalem and the Jew, but their actions will only cuase them to stagger to and fro [reeling] as if they were drunk.

Then, once these Arab leaders dare launch a military attack against Israel, God will cause "terror and panic" to come upon the armies attacking Israel, and to cause everyone who might be driving a tank, or a jeep, or any other conveyance, to become mad, insane.  On the other hand, God promises to send a spirit of courageousness to come upon Jewish soldiers so that they will each fight like King David!  Of course, God has already promised Israel that, as long as she remains true to Him, He will not allow any military defeat to come upon her. Listen to His promise:  "The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways." [Deuteronomy 28:7]  While Israel has come back to the land in unbelief just as God had foretold [Ezekiel 37:8b], they are progressing toward a more Orthodox religious observance than ever before.  This return to Orthodoxy is a major prerequisite for them to come to the place where they will one day recognize Jesus Christ as their Messiah.  One of the major exciting bits of reality is that God is protecting Israel militarily just as He did in the days of the Old Testament, from Joshua to Nebuchadnezzar!  No other explanation makes sense for the miraculous manner in which Israel has consistently beaten the Arab armies since 1948.  God is again protecting Israel from defeat.

5.  Ezekiel 25:12-14 [Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

"Thus says the Lord God; Because Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance and has greatly offended and has become doubly guilty himself taking revenge upon them , 'Therefore thus says the Lord God; I will also stretch out My hand against Edom and will cut off and root out man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate; … they shall fall by the sword. And I will lay My vengeance upon Edom by the hand of My people Israel; and they shall know My vengeance, says the Lord God."

Once again, we see God delivering a prophecy against Edom, the House of Esau, the modern-day Palestinians.  As in the prophecy against the House of Esau in Obadiah 15-18, God identifies the Jewish nation as the means by which He shall destroy the Palestinians.

6.  Ezekiel 35 [Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

"Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 'Son of man, Set your face against the mountain range of Seir, in Edom, and prophesy against it, and say unto it, thus says the Lord God: Behold, O Mount Seir, I am against you and I will stretch out My hand against you and I will make you a desolation and an astonishment. I will lay your cities waste and you shall be desolate … Because you, of Esau, have had a perpetual enmity for Jacob, and you gave over the sons of Israel to the power of the sword at the time of your calamity … therefore, as I live, says the Lord God, I will expose you to slaughter, and slaughter shall pursue you; since you could not bear to live without bloodshed, therefore bloodshed shall pursue you. Thus will I make Mount Seir an astonishment and a desolation … And I will fill Edom's mountains with his slain men; on your hills and in your valleys and in all your ravines shall those fall who are slain with the sword … Therefore, as I live, says the Lord God, I will deal with you according to the anger and envy you showed because of your enmity for them [the Jew] … Thus have you boasted and magnified yourselves against Me with your mouth, multiplying your words against Me; I have heard it … so will I deal with you … O Mount Seir and all Edom …"

Mount Seir is part of Edom, and in fact, is considered synonymous with it.  The Holman Bible Dictionary says, "The 'land of Seir' seems to be synonymous with Edom in some passages (Gen. 32:3; 36:8; Judg. 5:4)."  This passage reads like today's newspaper!  First, God notes that the House of Esau has always had a "perpetual enmity for Jacob".  This hatred actually goes back over 3,000 years; however, the modern day House of Esau, the Palestinians, seem to have carried this hatred to new heights and to new levels of intensity.  God seems to have hit directly upon today's situation of Arab terror against innocent Jews when He said, "... since you could not bear to live without bloodshed". Notice that, once He says this, God them immediately states, "therefore bloodshed shall pursue you. Thus will I make Mount Seir an astonishment and a desolation … And I will fill Edom's mountains with his slain men; on your hills and in your valleys and in all your ravines shall those fall who are slain with the sword ..."  This prophecy sounds just like the ones we have quoted above, does it not?  This prophecy sounds just like God's prophecy in Obadiah, above, where so many people of the House of Esau shall be slain, it will be as though this people never, ever existed!

Finally, notice that God takes all this persecution of His people by the Arabs very personally.  God says that the Arabs have been really angry at Him, and have been "multiplying words" against Him, and had "boasted" and "magnified" themselves against Him , when they did these things against the Jew!  Therefore, God will execute the type of judgment He has never meted out before, beginning with those Arabs living in the closest proximity to Israel, the House of Esau Palestinians!

7.  Amos 5:6 [Suddenness of God's Judgment]  [Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

"Seek the Lord … and you shall live; lest He rush down like fire … and devour it …"  God's judgment is like devouring fire that cannot be put out.  Furthermore, it rushes as quickly towards it target as a fire rushing down a mountaintop, leaving total devastation in its wake.  Some of the judgments, above, have been likened to a fire, or have been stated to be a fire, as in Obadiah.  I believe that the weapons of mass destruction which Israel will use against the Palestinians and others, once this war begins, will consist of fire.  We know that nuclear weapons kill in large part by fire.  We also know that the neutron bomb emits some fire but does its killing work through bombarding neutrons.

I personally believe that the Oslo Accords is a trap for the Arabs to fall into, specifically those House of Esau Palestinians.  Since this accord makes no sense militarily, and since it was conceived by a former military general, Rabin, I can only conclude that conventional military wisdom cannot be used to understand the Oslo Accords.  If you look at the map of how the Palestinians are grouped together by the Oslo Accords [http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/Senate/5942/] you will see that they are now in such a grouping as to be susceptible to an attack by a weapon of mass destruction.

All Arabs should keep two very important factors in mind as they continue to fume against Israel and her Jewish citizens:

1)  They are fighting against Almighty God, as we have demonstrated in this article.

2)  Jewish leaders have been involved in the upper echelon of leadership of the New World Order since 1776, when Rothschild backed Adam Weishaupt monetarily.  Today, the New World Order Plan envisions that Antichrist will arise from a war between Israel and her Arab neighbors, but that the Arabs will lose dramatically, even losing their Dome of the Rock.  Then, Antichrist will begin his effort to convince the Orthodox Jewish leaders that he is their long-awaited Messiah.  Not only does this Plan have no room for the Arab in it, it actually leaves the Arabs quite dead!  You see, the New World Order Plan foresees that Arabs will never be able to accept the claims of the Antichrist; their Monotheism is so great it will never accept the pagan Polytheism of Antichrist.  Therefore, the Plan envisions the complete slaughter of all Arabs, worldwide.

The tremendously powerful, and overflowing, words of hatred pouring forth now from the Arabs toward the nation of Israel is one of the most exciting developments in a long time.  This phenomenon clearly illustrates how very close we are to the final End of the Age.
