NEWS BRIEF: "Tactical nuclear weapons deployed: US and Russia Strike Reciprocal Deal on Tactical Nuclear Weapons Deployment Against Afghanistan and Chechnya", 6 October 2001, DEBKAfile, http://www.debka.com/
"DEBKAfile’s military and intelligence sources report that Presidents George W. Bush and Vladimir Putin, in a single 70-minuted conversation on September 23, eleven days after the terrorist assaults in New York and Washington, agreed on the deployment of tactical weapons ... Putin gave the nod for US forces poised in Central Asia to jump into Afghanistan to be armed with tactical nuclear weapons, such as small neutron bombs, which emit strong radiation, nuclear mines, shells, and other nuclear ammunition suited to commando warfare in mountainous terrain. In return, Bush assented to Russia deploying tactical nuclear weapons units around Chechnya after Moscow’s ultimatum to the rebels, some of whom are backed by Osama Bin Laden, to surrender, went by without response ... This is an epic shift in the global balance of strength." [Emphasis added]
Indeed, such an agreement between America and old-time nemesis Russia to allow each other to deploy such a wide range of nuclear weapons in the theater each one is presently militarily engaged, is a huge shift in worldwide balance of power and of diplomacy. Never, ever, could anyone imagine that Communist -- now Socialist -- Russia would ever agree to allow America to deploy nuclear weapons so close to Russia's borders, or to use them against Muslims, many of whom live in Russian republics!
Never, ever, could anyone imagine that America would agree to allow Russia to use nuclear weapons against an insurgency group. Such use of Weapons of Mass Destruction would really and truly let the genie out of the bottle. Once Russia and America used them in any situation, other countries possessing tactical nuclear devices would likely find it easier to use them in other situations. In other words, once the line is crossing formerly forbidding the use of such weapons in tactical situations, other nations will feel more free to use them whenever and wherever they deem it in their best interest to do so.
The world may have just taken a huge step toward fulfillment of Revelation 6:3-4. While I understand this verse will not be fulfilled until Antichrist is on the scene [Revelation 6:1-2], I believe this agreement between Russia and America -- if actually carried out -- will set the stage for Revelation 6:3-4 to be fulfilled. Listen:
"And when He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature call out 'Come!' And another horse came out, flaming red. And its rider was empowered to take the peace from the earth, so that men slaughtered one another; and he was given a huge sword." [Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary
Note that this rider carried a HUGE sword, capable of slaughtering men to an unusual degree. Mankind may just have crossed that line formerly forbidding the use of such weapons. Now, if using such weaponry is conceivable in men's minds, it makes it just that much easier to carry out.
Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz has already laid the rhetorical groundwork for the use of nuclear and neutron warheads! Further, he has already laid the rhetorical groundwork for annihilating nations in this effort against terrorism1 On September 13, just two days after the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, Wolfowitz spoke at a press conference. As we reported in NEWS1542, Wolfowitz made it quite clear that America would not be satisfied with just capturing Osama bin Laden, but is after the very nation(s) that create and sustain terrorism.
Wolfowitz said: 'These people try to hide. They won't be able to hide forever ... They think their harbors are safe, but they won't be safe forever ... it's not simply a matter of capturing people and holding them accountable, but removing the sanctuaries, removing the support systems, ending states who sponsor terrorism." ["Stage Set For Attack", by Susanne M. Schafer, Associated Press, The Sun Chronicle, Friday, September 14, 2001. Page 2]
"Ending states" is a most somber and terrifying term, for it strongly implies that the Bush Administration has every intention of destroying entire nation states with unconventional weapons. And, we have them in abundance, despite the years of military drawdown by the Clinton Administration. We have nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons that can easily destroy entire states in a matter of an hour or two.
Thus, we have already theoretically and rhetorically laid the groundwork for the use of unconventional weapons. Perhaps the reason the Bush Administration took almost a month [26 days] after the attack to militarily move against Afghanistan -- even though winter is setting in rapidly -- is that they do intend to go after Osama bin Laden with unconventional weapons.
UNPRECEDENTED GLOBAL COOPERATION BETWEEN FORMER ENEMIES
In NEWS1548, we demonstrated that the unprecedented degree of cooperation between various nations and elements in the world in President Bush's global "War On Terrorism" was so unusual that we needed to carefully consider what is occurring and why. How is it that former enemy, Russia, who still have massive amounts of nuclear weapons targeted against us, and who is still acting as if we are an enemy, has now agreed to allow American forces to be stationed in Muslim territories formerly part of the U.S.S.R.?
Further, how is it possible that states known to sponsor terror and terrorist organizations, like Syria, Iran, and Iraq, suddenly announce their opposition to the terror of Osama bin Laden and the Afghanistan who supports him?
What strange bedfellows indeed! I feel like poor Ned of Dr. Suess, who was lamenting how many creatures had suddenly come to bed with him. Listen:

The world is suddenly like Ned's proverbial bed; a lot of strange bedfellows are suddenly in bed together. What is going on? In NEWS1548, we showed that Revelation 17:17 is likely being fulfilled right here, right now, and right in front of our noses! Listen to the key element of this prophecy, remembering that the total leadership of the world is in view in this verse:
"For God has put it into their hearts [final 10 kings of verse 13] to carry out His own purpose by acting in harmony in surrendering their royal power and authority to the beast ..."
Since the world has seen the reorganization of the 10 final supernations of the world from 1992-1996 [Read NEWS1002], we have been living in the period of time between this reorganization and the appearance of Antichrist [Daniel 7:7-8]. Thus, we should expect that the rulers of this present time period would cooperate and "act in harmony" in order to set the stage for the Antichrist to arise.
This is the reason for such strange and diverse bedfellows to suddenly get into bed with one another. Biblical prophecy is being fulfilled in our Daily News. However, this agreement between Russia and America to allow each other to stage nuclear and neutron bombs and possibly to use them, is taking this prophecy of "acting in harmony" to an unbelievable level. Truly, God is so literal, and is so true when He predicts events.
OPENING THE DOOR TO OSAMA BIN LADEN TO USE NUCLEAR DEVICES AGAINST AMERICAN AND BRITISH CITIES
America and Great Britain are the two countries leading the charge against Afghanistan; therefore, it is highly likely that, once neutron bombs and/or tactical nuclear weapons are used in Afghanistan, Muslim terrorists will employ their own weapons of mass destruction against our cities. Whether they have neutron bombs is unknown, but highly unlikely. However, reports have circulated that they may have received small nuclear devices from the breakaway Muslim countries after the broke away from the U.S.S.R.
If this is the case, they could conceivably employ this type of weapon against our cities. Further, Muslim terrorists are almost certainly in possession of chemical and biological weapons and are sophisticated enough to employ them. Such weaponry may already be staged in this country, ready to be used when the order is given. Now that Americans are fully engaged against Afghanistan, we must be ready to suffer more terrorist attacks against civilian targets, and quite possibly using chemical, biological, and/or nuclear weapons.
Where Muslim terrorists will strike is anyone's guess. However, I would suspect that the White House, the Capitol Building, or some place else in Government Mall, would be a likely target. If America is to go the way of the Phoenix Bird, a blow against government control would be most logical.

THIS WAR, RUMORS OF WAR, NATURAL DISASTERS, PLAGUES ARE NOT TRIBULATION PERIOD EVENTS! THEY ARE MATTHEW 24 BIRTH PANGS EVENTS
Even though these events are going to be horrific, and unprecedented up until now, they are not the fulfillment of God's Judgments in the Book of Revelation. Rather, they are simply and only the last birth pangs of Matthew 24, designed to "give birth" to Antichrist. Remember God's assurances to His believers at a time like this:
"I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let you down, or relax My hold on you. Assuredly not!" [Hebrews 13:5, Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]
"But in the midst of judgment there is the promise and the certainty of the Lord's deliverance ..." [Isaiah 9:1, Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]
Read the entire 93rd Psalm. If you dwell in the "secret place of the Most High [Verse 1], then all of these wonderful promises are yours, including:
"For then He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence." [Vs 3]
"You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow [the evil plots and slanders of the wicked that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you. Only a spectator shall you be, yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High as you witness the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord your refuge and the Most High your dwelling place, there shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near you. For He will give His angels special charge over you ... they shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone." [Verses 5-12; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]]
"But in spite of past judgments for ... sins, thus says the Lord, He who created you ... Fear not, for I have redeemed you ... I have called you by your name [your name here] you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched ... Because you are precious in My sight ..." [Isaiah 43:1-4; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]
We Christians can still have peace within our hearts, even as terror and panic reign all around us, because we have the Heart Peace that only the Prince of Peace can provide. If God chooses to spare us, thank Him! If He chooses to take us home in death, praise Him! If He chooses to take us in the Rapture, Hallelujah!
If you do not know Jesus Christ as Savior, you have every right to be terrified, for the final judgments are about to fall upon wicked mankind, beginning with the appearance of Antichrist.
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, but have come to realize His reality and the approaching End of the Age, and want to accept His FREE Gift of Eternal Life, you can also do so now, in the privacy of your home. Once you accept Him as Savior, you are spiritually Born Again, and are as assured of Heaven as if you were already there. Then, you can rest assured that the Kingdom of Antichrist will not touch you spiritually.
