Dr. Woods introduced Professor Cohen as a strategic thinker and one of the best at that. He is improving our ability to properly think of the future.

Cohen began speaking of a "New American Way of War".

  1. The war in Kosovo is a prime example of the New American Way of War and must be thought of in those terms.
  2. Knowing oneself is as important as knowing your enemy.
  3. New American Way of War began at the end of Vietnam War.
  4. Old American Way of War was implemented in Civil War by President Lincoln and held sway through the end of the Vietnam War. President Lincoln set a new agenda in warfare: Keep hammering at the enemy, ignoring your casualties, until the enemy is subdued. The emphasis is on the fighting spirit, killing with no remorse. Killing the enemy is paramount.
  5. Attributes of the Old Way of War:
  1. Extremely aggressive
  2. Taking the offense at all times
  3. Search for key battlefield decisions, concentrating on the means
  1. American military, following this old strategy, is uncomfortable with limited wars, limited objectives, and limited resources being applied.
  2. American Military had always insisted that, once the war had started, they had the day-to-day operational control. Civilian leadership stepped aside in this regard. [Of course, Korea and Vietnam key examples of this not occurring.]
  3. New American Way of War -- [Cohen pronounced that the New World Order has been already been established ]
  1. Strategic Issues -- use force for secondary and lesser interests, not necessarily just for national vital interests".
  2. Humanitarian Wars -- Part of New American Way of War. This type of war will supply part of the rationale of going to limited wars of this type.
  3. Who Are Our Enemies?
    1. Old Way -- Foreign nations and leaders
    2. New Way -- Carrying out actions against individual leaders, not countries. In this new type of war, we refuse to acknowledge we are fighting nations, focussing on the "evil" leader.
    3. Our leaders will refuse to acknowledge any error in personal judgment.
    4. Quest for Coalitions -- America has traditionally sought to build a coalition. But, now being part of a coalition is required. Coalition is now an end in itself.
    5. To what extent will we continue to operate on a coalition basis?
    6. Rediscovery of Credibility in fighting. We use force to prove our credibility. This fact is the only rationale for Desert Fox operation, for example. In Desert Fox, the only reason for the campaign was to show every probable enemy that we will carry out threatened actions.
  1. Operational Observations
  1. Air power is the weapon of choice in this New American Way of War
  2. Defined as anything in flight -- planes, missiles, cruise missiles, and precision-guided munitions.
  3. Technological advances makes it cheaper to destroy enemies' capabilities
  4. We have made tremendous advances in defeating enemy air defenses even those that are very sophisticated
  5. Technology today allows political leaders to control amount of the violence administered.
  6. Air power is now easier to move around
  1. Downside to Air Power
  1. People won't believe stories of accidents and mistakes, i.e., Chinese Embassy bombing
  2. We might forget we are applying only narrow forces for a narrow objective
  3. Defeat administered through air is not the same as defeat administered on the ground. Troops occupying enemy territory and assets simply cannot be compared to pounding an enemy until he arranges a cease-fire that gives him control over his forces.
  4. Therapeutic Bombardment gives us good feeling without accomplishing anything of substance.
  1. Sensitivity to Casualties Now -- Why?
  1. Public is not traditionally squeamish about casualties
  2. No polls showed that American common people were squeamish
  3. American servicemen are expected to place themselves at risk
  4. Military and civilian leaders are sensitive to public perception of a "reality" that does not exist in the real world.
  5. We have changed our concept as to what is worth dying for
  6. Military leaders may have changed its emphasis of leadership, from carrying too little about casualties, to carrying too much.
  7. Enemies can take advantage of this new sensitivity to casualties. We killed 4-5 times as many civilians in Iraq as we did in Serbia, yet there was no American reaction. Or revulsion.
  1. Civilian-Military Relationships
  1. Old Way -- Decentralized leadership existed below the President
  2. New Way -- Highly centralized leadership. Civilian and military leaders in Washington, D.C., have much more power now that they have centralized the leadership below the President. This structure limits the President to the variety of sources for information and advice.
  3. Civilian leadership is now not getting bipolar advice.
  1. Military Professionals
  1. Old Way -- Had clear lines dividing civilian and military leadership. Military leaders were so a-political many of them never voted.
  2. New Way -- Acceptable for military to participate in political campaigns for candidates of their choice.
  1. Civilian Leaders are now appealing more to International Authorities and Institutions.
  2. Dangers:
  1. Use of violence changes politics
  2. War is cruelty and cannot be refined.
  3. There are many means of war, but no action goes just as anticipated
  4. Dialogue between soldier and civilian will always be filled with tensions.

CUTTING EDGE CONCLUSIONS AND COMMENTS

The most shocking revelation from Professor Cohen is that the New World Order has already been established.  We had always considered that the New World Order would not be officially established until Antichrist had arisen and been given the political and economic power of the world.  Obviously, these civilian leaders do not see it this way.

The very fact that Professor Cohen considers the New World Order already established is another clear indication that the appearance of Antichrist is close at hand.  Other speakers during this Forum also spoke of the New World Order in present tense.  Truly, the End of the Age is very close.

Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.

He will instantly forgive you, and fill your heart with the joy of the Holy Spirit. Then, you need to begin a daily walk of prayer and personal Bible Study.

Once you accept Him as Savior, you are spiritually Born Again, and are as assured of Heaven as if you were already there. Then, you can rest assured that the Kingdom of Antichrist will not touch you spiritually.
