Very few of us have any understanding of the reason why Jesus Christ died. If sympathy is all that human beings need, then the Cross of Christ is a farce, there was no need for it. What the world needs is not "a little bit of love," but a surgical operation. When you are face to face with a soul in difficulty spiritually, remind yourself of Jesus Christ on the Cross. If that soul can get to God on any other line, then the Cross of Jesus Christ is unnecessary. If you can help others by your sympathy or understanding, you are a traitor to Jesus Christ. You have to keep your soul rightly related to God and pour out for others on His line, not pour out on the human line and ignore God. The great note today is amiable religiosity.

The one thing we have to do is to exhibit Jesus Christ crucified, to lift Him up all the time. Every doctrine that is not imbedded in the Cross of Jesus will lead astray. If the worker himself believes in Jesus Christ and is banking on the Reality of Redemption, the people he talks to must be concerned. The thing that remains and deepens is the workers simple relationship to Jesus Christ; his usefulness to God depends on that and that alone. The calling of a New Testament worker is to uncover sin and to reveal Jesus Christ as Saviour, consequently he cannot be poetical, he must be sternly surgical. We are sent by God to lift up Jesus Christ, not to give wonderfully beautiful discourses. We have to probe straight down as deeply as God has probed us, to be keen in sensing the Scriptures which bring the truth straight home and to apply them fearlessly. None but Jesus can give deliverance to captives. Real liberty cometh from Him only. It is a liberty righteously bestowed; for the Son, who is Heir of all things, has a right to make men free. ---------- This Weeks Hot News ----------

The news this week was extremely important to our proper understanding of the events of the day and the increasingly close appearance of Antichrist. Therefore, please pardon this longer than usual newsletter. Hopefully, you will be so engrossed and informed of these events you will not mind its length.

I. Our Constitutional rights and liberties were unusually threatened these past three weeks; the Supreme Court was the major culprit, although President Bush was responsible for an extremely powerful blow to our freedoms, and Congress participated in an indirect manner. Let us review these stories, beginning with the unprecedented nature of the Judicial attack on our beloved Constitution.

A. Our Second Amendment Rights to "keep and bear arms" was devastated by a Supreme Court act that was so stealthy and so silent that the vast majority of Americans had no idea that many of them no longer had a Constitutional right to own and operate firearms. Working very quietly, and with absolutely no Mass Media coverage, the Supreme Court allowed a an unconstitutional decision of the 9th Circuit Court to stand without review, thus possibly making their "Gun Control" decision the law of the land, at least for the good gun owners living under the jurisdiction of the Ninth Circuit! Now, the Constitution no longer guarantees the right of individual citizens to own and bear arms for these people; but, as we demonstrate in our article on this subject, other Circuit Courts and/or State Supreme Courts could begin making similar rulings based upon this Ninth Circuit Court decision -- a decision now approved by the Supreme Court.

Gun Control is always precursor to dictatorship! This issue is so broad that we cannot hope to cover it all here, but you can read the details in NEWS1877; then, in NEWS1877b, we show the historic record as to what 20th Century governments have done to their people once they had confiscated all their firearms. You will further see that the early, preparatory methods these tyrannical governments used to get their citizens to give up their guns is exactly the methods being advocated in this country. On average, 10 million citizens have died at the hands of their government after they allowed their guns to be taken away.

B. Our First Amendment Right to "Free Speech" took a direct hit when the Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of the Campaign Finance Reform Act. Once again, the great majority of Americans had no idea what had happened, because the rip to our Constitution was very subtle and very clever. Attempting to solve a pretended problem of "soft-money" campaign contributions, Congress, the Supreme Court, and the President delivered a body blow against First Amendment Free Speech rights! What is the wording of this protective amendment?

Once again, time and space are too limited to discuss this issue fully, but we have devoted an entire article to it: NEWS1879.

C. While the attention of the peoples of the world was riveted on the capture of Saddam Hussein on Saturday, December 13, virtually no one realized that President Bush was quietly signing into law the bill that has been dubbed, "Patriot Act II". Is this law signing the REAL reason Saddam was captured on the 13th of December? Too often, our leaders cause us to look in the exact opposite direction from where they are taking really serious action. While Americans were celebrating our victory by capturing Saddam, virtually no one was noticing that we had just lost our liberties and Constitutionally protected rights -- on paper! Bush now has the power of Hitler, Stalin, and Mao Tse-Tung! We missed this signing because we were focussing on Saddam's capture!

We shall discuss Saddam's capture a little later in this newsletter, but in this section, we want to focus on the terms of Patriot Act II. Congressman Ron Paul presented his very strong views on the dangers of this act -- "H.R. 2417, INTELLIGENCE AUTHORIZATION ACT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2004". Listen to his warnings very carefully, delivered from the floor of the Congress on the eve of the final vote:

Congressman Paul then elaborates his many objections, which you will find interesting, if not terrifying reading. Notice that Ron Paul officially identifies "H.R. 2417" as the "Patriot Act II". Therefore, there is no doubt whatsoever that President Bush signed the "Patriot Act II" bill into law on December 13, 2003. Now, listen to the more important provisions of this terrible new law:

Notice number 6 in particular: this bill allows the government to strip American citizenship from persons who belong to "disfavored" political groups. Believe me, as Alex Jones states in his video pictured above -- "Police State 3" -- the police can come to your house, and enter without a warrant. They may arrest you without charges and take you to a prison, whose location they need not divulge to your family. Since you have been redefined as a "Domestic Terrorist" or "Enemy Combatant", you may be be tried in secret without having any right to a lawyer. You may even be secretly executed and your family may never know what happened to you. Finally, if someone sees you being arrested and reports it to authorities, they may be arrested and treated in the same way in which I just described!

Is it any wonder that President Bush signed this legislation so secretly? Americans have suffered grievous loss of liberties and rights since December 1. Passage of this "Patriot Act II", plus the Supreme Court action stripping individuals of their Second Amendment rights (NEWS1877 and NEWS1877b), plus the Supreme Court ruling upholding the newly passed Campaign-Finance Reform Bill, that threatens our First Amendment Free Speech (See "Finance decision could put chill on the First Amendment", C.S. Monitor, 12/2/03), all greatly savages our personal liberties and protections -- in just two weeks time!

II. In seeming contradiction to Point I, above, an appellate court ruled this past week that the President cannot deprive an American citizen arrested on American soil of his rights! If this decision is upheld by the Supreme Court, we might see a strengthening of our Constitutional rights, after all. Let us review the story.

NEWS BRIEF: "Courts rebuke White House", By Jerry Seper, The Washington Times, December 19, 2003

"Two federal courts yesterday rebuked the Bush administration, ruling that prisoners at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base should have access to attorneys and U.S. courts, and separately deciding that President Bush had no authority to detain an American citizen arrested on U.S. soil as an enemy combatant."

This ruling seems to be great news, for we have always realized that the term "enemy combatant" could be redefined at will and changed at a moment's notice. When the country is reeling from an urban terror attack, few citizens will notice that the government is slapping "enemy combatant" labels on anyone whom they want to arrest. This term joins "Domestic Terrorist" as one of the great threats to patriots, gun owners, and Fundamental Christians.

Let us now continue with this news article:

"A three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco described the administration's detention of 660 terrorism suspects at Guantanamo, arrested by U.S. military authorities in Afghanistan, as 'running roughshod over the rights of citizens and aliens alike'. In a 2-1 decision, on a petition filed by a relative of a captured Libyan, the panel said it was the 'obligation' of the judicial branch to 'ensure the preservation of our constitutional values'." [Ibid.]

Did you notice that this bold, courageous decision was made by the same Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals that took Constitutional gun rights from its citizens? How can this possibly be, that the same court could act to unconstitutionally strip rights from citizens from one part of the Constitution, while upholding them from another part of the same Constitution? We might be looking at an outworking of the Dialectic Struggle in this instance. Remember that the Dialectic principle holds that "Controlled Conflict brings about Controlled Change". You need a conflict!

In this instance, the objective would be to bounce a decision up to the Supreme Court, which would make the final determination. Their decision would be the national "law of the land". On the one side of the conflict is the Bush Administration, who is insisting that the President needs this dictatorial act in order to "fight terror". On the other hand, we see the Ninth Circuit Court who is making the correct Constitutional ruling. This "Controlled Conflict" then sets the stage for the "Controlled Change". Since the Supreme Court has been making dictatorial decisions these past several years, we should assume they probably will come down on the side of dictatorship on this issue . When the Bush Administration appeals this decision to the Supreme Court, we shall have to carefully watch the decision. If the High Court rules that an American citizen arrested on American soil can be stripped of his citizenship and can be declared an "Enemy Combatant", the most awful of the provisions of Patriot Act II will have just been validated and made the "law of the land".

Once this ruling is in place, the urban terror and the foreign World War III can commence. It is too early to get excited about this correct Constitutional ruling by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

III. Saddam Hussein was arrested on December 13, at 8:30pm, which is 12:30pm, Eastern Standard Time. We have already noted that Saddam's capture took people's attention away from the White House, where the President was signing Patriot Act II. Now, let us turn our attention to Saddam and Iraq. Cutting Edge is very happy that a very bad man has been removed from the world scene. However, we want you to realize some very pertinent facts:

1. Saddam has been controlled by the CIA since 1959, as we detail in NEWS1878, quoting UPI Intelligence, of 4/10/2003. Consistent with the need to control both sides in a 'Controlled Conflict' scenario, the CIA has controlled Saddam to this very day. He has played the tyrant just as we wanted him to play, and he turned into the perfect straw man we could attack, with no complaints and no deviation from his assigned role.

2. Remember the lessons of the New World Order book by Peter Lemesurier, "The Armageddon Script", in which he consistently stated that all major events in the world are scripted, with each person just playing his assigned role. This revelation is consistent with Revelation 17:17, which states that the final rulers of the earth shall "act in harmony", or "agree" as the KJV states, so that their actions will exactly fulfill Bible prophecy.

Saddam has acted on the Iraqi stage for all these many years; the time had come in the script for him to be captured. It is really that simple. Therefore, it does not matter whether the real Saddam was captured, for the reality is that "Saddam" is now off the world stage, except maybe in a staged trial. The time for Saddam to exercise any more power in Iraq is over; in this sense, a very bad man has been removed from power.

Congressman McDermott (D-Washington) entered the fray this week, giving great impetus to our argument, above. Listen:

NEWS BRIEF: :"Wash. Congressman Questions Saddam Timing", by Matthew Daley, Associated Press Writer, December 16, 2003.

"WASHINGTON -- The Washington congressman who criticized President Bush while visiting Baghdad last year has questioned the timing of the capture of deposed Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Wash., told a Seattle radio station Monday the U.S. military could have found Saddam "a long time ago if they wanted." Asked if he thought the weekend capture was timed to help Bush, McDermott chuckled and said: 'Yeah. Oh, yeah'."

"The Democratic congressman went on to say, 'There's too much by happenstance for it to be just a coincidental thing ... It's funny', McDermott added, 'when they're having all this trouble, suddenly they have to roll out something'."

Well said, Mr. Congressman. I could not have stated this truth any better! In this case, however, the "something" they "rolled out" was the discreet signing of Patriot Act II, for which Saddam's capture served as perfect cover.

Another interesting story was that Saddam may be tried in a new tribunal which had been created just days before he was captured! How "fortunate"!

NEWS BRIEF: "New Tribunal Might Be Option for Saddam", Associated Press, Yahoo News, December 14, 2003.

"BAGHDAD, Iraq - U.S. officials said they still haven't decided what to do with Saddam Hussein now that he's been captured, but one option is putting him before a special tribunal established just days ago. A member of Iraq's Governing Council said Saddam would face public trial ... The tribunal will cover crimes committed from July 17, 1968 — the day Saddam's Baath Party came to power — until May 1, 2003 — the day President Bush (news - web sites) declared major hostilities over ... The tribunal will try cases stemming from mass executions of Iraqi Kurds in the 1980s, as well as the suppression of uprisings by Kurds and Shiite Muslims soon after the 1991 Gulf War ... it would also try cases committed against Iran — with which Iraq fought a bloody 1980-88 war — and against Kuwait, which Iraq invaded in 1990, sparking the Gulf War.

"The legal framework also draws on international law, including Rwanda's genocide tribunal and the legal code used to create the United Nations' International Criminal Court, a body the Bush administration opposes. Al-Hakim said it would also use the Geneva Conventions as a point of reference."

Therefore, Saddam's public trial will occur in a tribunal set up just days before he was captured. This tribunal will carry out its duties in full accordance with the United Nations International Criminal Court, general international law, and the Geneva Convention. In other words, Saddam's trial will probably mightily strengthen the Judicial authority and popularity of the global International Court. Now, can you see the role Saddam is likely to play through the next year or so? One of the greatest threats to any nation's liberty is the International Court, which is claiming the right to intrude into the sovereignty of any individual country on earth with its rulings. Since the religious values of the International Court are anti-Christian, we are terribly threatened by this global court.

Further, our Supreme Court based its Sodomy decision in late June upon the values and attitudes of the "international community", a sure sign our High Court is getting ready to deliver our Judicial Sovereignty to the World Court [Read NEWS1836].

IV. Terrorism threats have gone global, just in case you have not noticed. Remember the revelation of Bill Cooper, in his New Age book, "Behold A Pale Horse"; he stated that, in 1917, the Illuminati had decided that the world must be under a global threat if it was to unite under a single government which they called the "New World Order". That time is here and the "global threat" that the Illuminati has created in order to force a global government is "Islamic global jihad". Let us now examine all the countries mentioned in the news recently who are supposedly under terrorist threat.

A. United States -- NEWS BRIEF: "Chemical, Nuclear Arms Still 'Major Threat,' Cheney Says", The Washington Post, December 17, 2003.

"Vice President Cheney warned this week that "the major threat" facing the nation is the possibility that terrorists could detonate a biological or nuclear weapon in a U.S. city ... 'To contemplate the possibility of them unleashing that kind of capability -- of that kind of weapon, if you will, in the midst of one of our cities -- that's a scary proposition,' he said. 'It's one of the most important problems we face today, because I think that is the major threat'."

Again, this statement is consistent with Bill Cooper's revelation that New York City is planned to be the target of a nuclear terrorist device in order that Martial Law may be declared and the Constitution dissolved. Listen to Cooper's revelation of the "Urban Terror" portion of the Illuminati Plan:

NEWS BRIEF: "Intel Surge: U.S. Intelligence Learn of Possible Threats to New York and Other Cities", ABC News, December 19, 2003.

"Authorities are evaluating a surge of information related to possible terrorist threats to a number of cities in the United States, including New York City, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., ABCNEWS has learned ... Sources say the threat to New York City possibly involves a female suicide bomber, but no specific target has been identified and intelligence sources are still evaluating the credibility of this threat."

Since 9/11, we have had literally hundreds of such warnings, with most containing this phrase, "no specific target has been identified and intelligence sources are still evaluating the credibility of this threat." This phrase has been the tipoff that the terror warning was bogus; however, the Illuminati does plan on hitting New York City with a nuclear terrorist device, so one day this warning will come true.

NEWS BRIEF: "We're Targeting You at Home, Terror Tape Warns Americans", NEWS.scotsman.com, Sat 20 Dec 2003

"An audiotape said to be from Osama bin Laden’s al Qaida deputy warned that the terror group would target Americans 'in their homeland' and drive the military from US bases ... The speaker also denied that the resistance US troops were facing in Iraq came mainly from Saddam loyalists. He said the fighters were 'holy warriors' ... 'We are still chasing the Americans and their allies everywhere, even in their homeland,' he said."

Therefore, you can see how the terrorist threat threshold in America has been increased in this past few days.

B. Japan -- NEWS BRIEF: "63% of pollees fear terrorists will target Japan", The Japan Times, December 19, 2003

"Sixty-three percent of Japanese are afraid of terrorism at home and 80 percent believe the chances of a terrorist attack are increasing, according to a National Police Agency poll released Thursday. The survey, its first on terrorism, shows that the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks in the United States, North Korea's past abductions of Japanese nationals, the Iraq situation and other forms of violence have led the public to consider terrorism a 'palpable threat'."

C. Saudi Arabia -- NEWS BRIEF: "U.S.: al-Qaida Able to Bomb Saudi Arabia", Newsday.com, December 18, 2003

"WASHINGTON -- Terrorism intelligence in Saudi Arabia suggests a major attack could take place in the next six weeks, a defense official said, but there are no specifics on the target. The State Department recommended Wednesday that diplomats' families should leave Saudi Arabia. A U.S. counterterrorism official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said no single specific threat or piece of intelligence triggered the department's recommendation."

D. Jordan -- NEWS BRIEF: "Jordan Smashes al Qaeda Ring Poised for Attack", DEBKAfile, 18 December 2003

"DEBKAfile’s counter-terror sources reveal that Jordan has exposed a three-man al Qaeda cell, residents of Zarqa, just as it was poised for such major attacks as the assassinations of senior Jordanian military intelligence officers and shooting-grenade attacks on Western and Israeli tourists visiting the ancient ruins of Jarash ... Al Qaeda’s preparations for attack were well advanced. They had reconnoitered the two sites and concealed weapons and explosives near the targeted locations."

E. Turkey -- NEWS BRIEF: "Bin Laden said to OK attacks in Turkey: Military targets approved, but civilian sites bombed", SunSpot, December 18, 2003

"ISTANBUL, Turkey - Osama bin Laden proposed attacking a Turkish military base used by the United States, but militants stymied by tight security bombed civilian targets instead, killing Muslims and upsetting al-Qaida leaders, Turkish officials told reporters ... the militants instead bombed two synagogues, a London-based bank and the British Consulate, killing 62 people, mostly Muslims. The attacks appear to be part of a growing trend..."

F. Pakistan -- NEWS BRIEF: "High-tech device prevents killing of Pakistani leader: Jammer delayed explosion until car crossed bridge", SunSpot, December 18, 2003

"ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - High-tech jamming devices saved Pakistan's president from an assassination attempt, delaying by a few crucial seconds the detonation of a bomb that targeted his motorcade, intelligence officials said yesterday. As an investigation continued, the government vowed to root out extremism, amid suspicions that al-Qaida or homegrown Islamic militants opposed to Pakistan's support of the U.S.-led war on terrorism were behind the bombing. President Gen. Pervez Musharraf was riding in a limousine through Rawalpindi when the blast occurred Sunday evening, ripping through a concrete bridge just after he crossed it. The bombing was at least the second attempt on Musharraf's life since he took power in a bloodless coup four years ago."

Muslim militants desperately want to kill President Musharraf of Pakistan, whom they consider to be a puppet of the United States. Were they able to kill him, and replace him with one of their own militants, control of Pakistan's considerable nuclear force would pass immediately into the hands of Islamic extremists. On the other hand, the United States is very concerned about keeping control of Pakistan in friendly hands.

G. Multiple International Targets -- NEWS BRIEF: "Jerusalem issues Christmas terror alert for Israelis abroad", Ha'aretz Daily, December 19, 2003

"The Foreign Ministry issued a travel alert for Israelis tourists on Friday, warning that terrorist groups could target public gatherings during the Christmas and New Year period ... The ministry also refreshed its warning regarding certain tourist destinations in Thailand, including Bangkok's Kawasan Street. Also mentioned were the popular resorts of Pukhet and Pattaya. International terror experts have expressed fears that Al-Qaida and linked terror groups could use the holiday period to launch a series of attacks. Earlier this month, British media reported that MI5 believes Al-Qaida was planning to attack shopping centers and other 'soft' targets in and around London."

As you can see, terrorist threats are being issued all around the world. The primary target of this global jihad is every government whose people still go to the polls regularly to elect officials. While some of the terrorist attacks occur in countries which do not hold elections, the ripple effect of such terrorist attacks are felt in democratic countries, which then ratchet up to higher levels of rhetoric . When the time comes for the final takedown of all elected governments in the world, the terror attacks in non-democratic countries will have played a major role. The entire world is being prepared for the final urban terror attacks, which will come after Israel has begun the annihilating war with her Arab neighbors.

V. Israeli Prime Minister Sharon demanded again that the Palestinians take concrete steps to dismantling terrorist groups, or he was going to unilaterally withdraw to unspecified borders and wall the Palestinians off completely from the Jews. While many people might think this is a terrible move for Israel to take, we can only say that, had America suffered 19,000 terrorist attacks during a short period of only several years, we would have taken incredibly strong action. We would not have tolerated official inaction and we probably would have taken steps to expel the population of the terrorists outside our borders. Americans do not tolerate attacks on us or our soil. Israel has shown incredible "restraint", and she has continued to coddle the top leadership of the Palestinian Authority, beginning with Arafat.

But, to achieve the political settlement the Illuminati desires, the Dialectic Struggle must be preserved! Let us now examine the pertinent news stories:

NEWS BRIEF: "White House 'very pleased' with PM's speech", The Jerusalem Post, Dec. 19, 2003

" 'We were very pleased with the overall speech,' White House spokesman Scott McClellan said regarding Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's remarks at the Herzliya Conference ... Sharon outlined a policy whereby Israel won't wait forever for the Palestinian Authority to implement the road map. Israel will unilaterally disengage – including the removal of settlements, Sharon said Thursday night, if the PA continues to drag its feet ... Sharon made it clear that if the PA doesn't meet its commitments under the road map and Israel is forced to take unilateral steps, 'the Palestinians will receive much less than they would have received through direct negotiations as set out in the road map'."

Thus, Sharon is attempting to force the Palestinian Authority to begin implementation of the Road Map as envisioned by President Bush, Russia's Putin, Great Britain, and the European Union -- the Quartet so-called. Sharon is taking this path even though the Road Map would force Israel to withdraw basically to her 1967 borders, a withdrawal which would seemingly neutralize most of Israel's military superiority.

The exact details of Sharon's planned borders are being kept deliberately vague, as are the settlements that are going to be forcibly removed. The supreme irony of Sharon's decision to forcibly remove settlements is that Israeli governments of the past 20 years generally, and Sharon particularly, have been most supportive of creating these settlements as part of the "Greater Israel" vision.

Palestinians were very upset by this threat of unilateral action.

NEWS BRIEF: "Palestinians scorn 'these dangerous words'," The Guardian International, Friday, December 19, 2003

"Palestinians responded with a mixture of dismay and fury to Ariel Sharon's speech, which some said betrayed his desire to bypass the road map, isolate the Palestinians behind fences, and grab more than half of the West Bank ... PLO spokesman Diana Buttu said: "Sharon's whole career has been about unilateral action. He certainly didn't ask the Palestinians for permission to build the settlements. This is all an integral part of his long-term strategy to grab the majority of the land on the West Bank and leave the Palestinians living in cages. There is certainly nothing new here."

In NEWS1422 and NEWS1620, we report the reality that the Palestinians are the "House of Esau" of Obadiah 15-18 and are going to be destroyed just as this prophecy states. Since no Israeli leader will want to kill his own people when this annihilation occurs, we stated, in early 2000, that Israel would prepare for this judgment by walling off the Palestinians to separate them from the Jewish population. It sounds like this "caging off" is well advanced. Ehud Barak ordered the IDF to begin walling off Palestinian villages and towns in November, 2000. For the past couple of years, Israel has been able to militarily shut off access to Palestinian villages and towns in a very short time; these walls are a separate issue from the strategic barrier Israel is building between herself and the Palestinian territory.

Why are the Palestinians so upset by the threat of unilateral Israeli action? They want 100% of Israel, and realize such a separation would make it more difficult for Palestinian fighters to reach their targets inside Israel.

When you see President Bush forcing Israel to give up portions of her land to the Palestinians, remember that God takes a very dim view. In fact, He threatens End Times judgment against anyone who tries to divide the land of Israel, and land that is really His! [Read NEWS1806].

VI. China's war of words rhetoric reached new heights that even shocked Taiwan. As we have reported before, a Chinese invasion of Taiwan is planned to be the third war comprising World War III, out of which Antichrist will come striding [Read NEWS1282 and NEWS1774 for full details]. As Colonel David Hackworth told me in an email in late 1999, a strong, sustained war rhetoric against Taiwan is likely to be the most dependable signal that the Chinese invasion is drawing nigh. Let us review this rhetoric now.

NEWS BRIEF: "Beijing's ominous new threat on Taiwan", By Macabe Keliher, AsiaTimesOnline, December 18, 2003.

"SHENZHEN, China - Taiwanese investors on the southeast coast of China got a shock recently when officials from the Chinese Communist Party (CPP) showed up and delivered an ominous message that, this time, the threat of military action against Taiwan could be more than mere rhetoric. And this was not the only sign that a real shooting war may be in the offing ... 'We are willing to sacrifice the past 10 years of economic growth and development in order to reunite the motherland,' a provincial official somberly told a senior manager at one of the south's largest Taiwanese-invested companies. "It was a chilling threat, one that made my hair stand on end," the manager recalled."

A warning coming from an official of the Chinese Communist Party carries great significance because such a warning comes directly from the top military and political leadership of China. What was so shocking with this message is that it was delivered to Taiwanese business leaders who were attending a regularly scheduled "cross-strait" business meeting between Taiwanese and Chinese business leaders. Such a conference is considered politically neutral, so it was a shock of major proportions to get such a blunt message from top Chinese leaders.

NEWS BRIEF: "Anti-separatist Taiwan parties changing tune: Facing polls and shifting mood of voters, pro-reunification opposition parties now call independence a future option", The Sunday Times, December 18, 2003

"HONG KONG - China's last line of defence in Taiwan against the onslaught of separatist forces is in danger of crumbling. This follows a surprise announcement by the opposition parties in the so-called 'pan-blue' camp, which all along favoured eventual reunification with the mainland, that they would not rule out independence for the island as a future option ... it means Beijing can no longer count on these parties to hold the line against those pushing for independence."

When even the Taiwanese political party that has traditionally opposed independence from China begins to support the independence movement, you can know that Taiwan is getting serious about declaring her independence from China. The more China belches forth threatening propaganda, the stronger the Taiwanese people support the independence movement. Taiwan should be independent from China. She is a democratic republic, while China is a brutal, repressive dictatorship. Taiwan has built a monstrous economy far out of proportion to her population numbers, and her loss would be a devastating blow to the world economy.

The same may be said of South Korea. If both these economically powerful democratic republics were to come under Communist attack, the economy of the world would be damaged so much that worldwide depression may beckon.

NEWS BRIEF: "War of Words Escalating Between China, Taiwan", VOA News, 16 December 2003

"China is calling remarks by Taiwan's vice president unreasonable after the Taiwanese official said the mainland is resorting to terrorist tactics by keeping hundreds of missiles pointed at the island. The exchange is the latest in an escalating war of words over the future of Taiwan. Taiwanese Vice President Annette Lu told the Reuters news agency Tuesday that China's pointing of hundreds of missiles at Taiwan amounts to state terrorism."

We shall just have to wait to see the outcome of Taiwan's national referendum on March 10, 2004. The Illuminati promised China in 1952 she would get Taiwan back [NEWS1282] so we know China will ultimately attack. Further, since all democratic countries are to be eliminated before Antichrist can arise -- either through dissolution of that government so it can be replaced by a dictatorship, or through being conquered by a dictatorship country -- we know Taiwan is eventually going to be taken over by China. An invasion would have the greatest impact upon the peoples of the world at the time the world is writhing in pain because of the planned World War III and the accompanying urban terrorism.

VII. Is President Bush urging all nations to adopt "democracies" simply because democracies are easier for the Illuminati to control than are tyrants? That is the charge from Barry Chamish, noted Jewish author and columnist. His arguments to this effect are very close to the concerns our Founding Fathers had about democracies, so let us review Chamish's claims.

NEWS BRIEF: "Israel's Olmert and the Fine Art of Manipulation", by Barry Chamish, December 15, 2003

"The globalists prefer democracies over tyrannies because the former are so much easier to manipulate to their will. Take those recent Southern California fires, all started by escaped arsons working in well planned coordination. Not two months after the last flames are doused, Pres. Bush introduces a new forestry bill designed to prevent future fires by handing chopping privileges over every acre of the nation's woodlands to the logging industry in perpetuity. All it cost was a few thousand homes to conjure up the hellish images needed to push the bill through.

"Michael Jackson is busted on child molestation charges and not three weeks later comes the announcement that a new anti-pedophilic surveillance system will be introduced to the playgrounds and schools of America, the value of which will likely exceed the logging windfall, plus the added bonus of a national consensus in favor of every neighborhood being watched.

"With Saddam's fall, the Iraqis have traded in one dictatorship for another, more subtle one. Spreading democracy means spreading tyranny. Bending a people's will becomes so much simpler when the facade of freedom is instated."

Chamish is absolutely correct! Democracies are much easier to manipulate than a tyrant supported by a strong army. Such a tyrant has proven capable, in instance after instance, of refusing to bend to United States' will. However, democracies are so manipulatable simply because the masses of voters are so easily swayed by the rhetoric and propaganda of sophisticated politicians. Bill Clinton was elected twice under these circumstances and Arnold Scharzeneggar was elected Governor of California even though he was provably Liberal and guilty of significant sexual indiscretions that may yet prove to be rape.

Let us define a couple of terms before we go further. Democracy seems like such a good idea that the entire world should adopt this system of government -- right? Our Founding Fathers did not think so, for reasons we shall soon enumerate.

Our Founding Fathers had no faith whatsoever in democracies, for their experience in Europe was that such a system quickly degenerated into mob rule. However, the mob was easily captured by a slick demagogue who could sway the people into going in the direction he so skillfully articulated. People don't think with their intellects but with their emotions; therefore, they can be captured and led astray by the propagandist. Our National Fathers set up a three-part government which would function as a Representative Republic governed by a Constitution.

Therefore, Chamish is entirely correct as he states that the Illuminati favors "democracies". Once they have been manipulated, they shall be dissolved amidst the fiery world war and replaced by dictatorships completely controlled by the Illuminati.

VIII. Iraq degenerated further into guerilla warfare and civil war, while Iraq's Christians began to really feel impending persecution. If you thought that Saddam's capture would put an end to the warfare in Iraq, you were badly mistaken. Let us review the news stories.

NEWS BRIEF: "Capture Doesn't Stop Violence", NewsDay, December 17, 2003

"Baghdad, Iraq - The Sunni Muslim heartland of Iraq erupted in violence over the past two days, in a strong signal that the anti-American insurgency would not taper off with Saddam Hussein's capture. Pro-Hussein demonstrations in several cities ended with U.S. troops and Iraqi police exchanging fire with protesters ... Chanting 'We will defend Saddam with our blood and our souls,' hundreds of protesters overran the office of Fallujah's U.S.-appointed mayor after Iraqi police withdrew from the streets ... A roadside bomb wounded three soldiers in Hussein's hometown of Tikrit."

Warfare erupted between Iraqi insurgents and Coalition Forces nearly on a daily basis last week. Saddam's capture certainly did not stop the attacks; the reason for this somewhat surprising continuation of attacks was made clear in a very short, but important, article that appeared the day after Saddam was captured.

NEWS BRIEF: "Torch of Leadership In Iraq May Have Already Been Passed On", DEBKAfile, December 15, 2003

"DEBKAfile’s counter-intelligence sources reveal: Even after Saddam’s capture, the secret arrival in southern Iraq of another wanted American enemy Lebanese terror mastermind Imad Mughniyeh may boost anti-US violence."

Thus, even as Saddam's capture occurred coincidentally just days after a new tribunal had been set up, we now learn that a new mastermind of terror entered Iraq just two days after the capture to take over control of the guerilla war effort. But, why should we be surprised to learn that Muslim leadership had planned for a continuation of the war even if Saddam were suddenly removed?

NEWS BRIEF: "Radical Muslims Spark Fear in Iraqi Christians", By George Thomas, CBN News Sr. Reporter, December 15, 2003

"Since the end of the first Gulf War, the Christian population of Iraq has dropped from nearly two million to about 800,000. November was a dangerous month for Christians in Iraq. A key Christian judge was killed in Mosul, bombs were found at two Christian schools, and many Christian students and families received notes to convert to Islam, or else ... Then, in late November, many Christian families across Iraq received a threatening letter from the country's main Shia group. It warned Christians that if they didn't convert to Islam, they would be raped, kidnapped, tortured or killed."

The true nature of Islam is one of terror and of converting people by the edge of the sword. Even though the word, "Islam", does mean "submit", the submission in view here is one of submission to Islam by an "infidel". If the non-Muslim refuses to convert, that person historically is "raped, kidnapped, tortured or killed." Just ask Christians in the Sudan what Islam is capable of doing to people of other faiths, especially Christians.

The predicted backlash against Christianity in the Muslim world is gaining momentum. That kind of fury will soon be turned against true Christians in America as the Illuminati unleashes similar fury against us.

Iraqis are beginning to kill each other with ever-increasing frequency. In some instances, Iraqi officials cooperating with Coalition Forces are being killed by insurgents as traitors to the cause. In other instances, former Saddam officials of the Baath Party are being killed in retaliation for Saddam's former repression. We may expect this type of civil war to continue indefinitely. When the judges are picked who will try Saddam before that newly-created tribunal, we can expect their lives will be in great jeopardy, as will be the lives of their loved ones.

Iraqi insurgents are also targeting American officials. Several weeks ago, Deputy Defense Secretary Wolfowitz was in a hotel in Baghdad when it came under severe rocket attack. Reports at the time indicated that Wolfowitz was fortunate not to have been killed. Last week, reports surfaced that U.S. Administrator, Bremer, was the target of an ambush by guerilla forces. The war in Iraq is not over. Indeed, Bible prophecy in the Old Testament -- like Joel 3 -- speak only of war after Israel comes back to her land. Peace will not come until Jesus returns.

IX. Israel openly threatened to attack Iran's nuclear weapons processing plant last week! Listen to this incredible story.

NEWS BRIEF: "Israel Defense Minister Converses with Radio Listeners in... Iran", DEBKAfile Special Report, December 17, 2003

"This week, Israel’s Iranian-born defense minister Shaul Mofaz made the unique gesture of answering questions from listeners in Iran – in their own language - in a live broadcast over Israel Radio’s Farsi-language service. The questions came thick and fast. In answer to one, he promised everything would be done to protect the environment against radioactive fallout should Israeli forces destroy Iran’s nuclear capability."

What an incredible method of delivering a strong warning to Iranian leadership! Israel's Defense Minister "assures" Iranian call-in listeners to an Iranian radio talk show that Israel will do everything possible to "protect the environment against radioactive fallout should Israeli forces destroy Iran’s nuclear capability."

What is incredible about this statement is that an Israeli general who currently holds a position of great power within Sharon's government is treating the subject of whether Israel will destroy the Iranian nuclear facility as if the decision to carry out that attack has already been made! Surely, such a strong warning to Iran will not be lost on the leaders in Tehran!

X. President Bush walked a tightrope on the issue of Gay Marriage, and the gays were applauding!

NEWS BRIEF: "Bush backs bar on gay marriage", The Guardian International, December 18, 2003

"President George Bush is to support a change in the US constitution to block same-sex marriage, overriding the legal advances towards gay rights made in the courts this year. He said he would 'support a constitutional amendment which would honour marriage between a man and a woman, codify that'. The issue of gay marriage seems likely to become an important issue in the next year's presidential election, because of the the US supreme court's decision in June to repeal the anti-sodomy laws and the Massachusetts supreme court's ruling in favour of gay marriage last month. The Christian right, fearing that these rulings could eventually make gay marriage legal nationally, responded by calling for a change to the constitution endorsing only heterosexual marriage and effectively denying official recognition to same-sex couples."

Now, I thought this story represented some very good news for a change! President Bush was actually stating his support for a Gay Marriage ban that would be written into our Constitution! I was puzzled, however, by the irony that Bush was pressing for an amendment against gay marriage to the very Constitution he and the Supreme Court were shredding! However, this news very good, and I was ready to add this "good fruit" to the table depicting Bush's Bad Fruits vs Good Fruits.

However, just a few minutes later, I came across another story that put a completely different light on this situation.

NEWS BRIEF; "President holds split views on gay unions", By Susan Page, USA TODAY, December 18, 2003, reprinted in the Indy Star

"WASHINGTON -- President Bush is trying to walk a fine line on the question of gay marriage, which is supplanting abortion as the most volatile social issue in next year's presidential election ... On Tuesday, Bush said for the first time that he would, 'if necessary,' support a constitutional amendment that defined marriage as between a man and a woman. But he said he wouldn't prohibit 'whatever legal arrangements people want to make' that are 'embraced' by states. That was a reference to civil unions and domestic partnerships for same-sex couples, now recognized by Vermont and California."

How dismayed I was by this story! First, Bush's support for a constitutional amendment prohibiting gay marriage seemed a lot less firm than the first story, as the President said he would support this amendment "if necessary". Secondly, his statement that he would not prohibit "whatever legal arrangements people want to make "that are embraced by states" is a clear reference to such arrangements that Liberal states like Vermont and California have created in order to create a quasi-legal status for gay couples that has legal standing even though it is not officially called "marriage".

In other words, Bush was straddling the fence once again, trying to capture Christian votes by his first statement while trying to retain his immense support in the gay community by his second statement. And, the gays loved it. Listen:

NEWS BRIEF: "Log Cabin responds to Diane Sawyer's interview with President Bush", Log Cabin Republicans, December 16, 2003

"(Washington) Log Cabin Republicans agrees with President Bush that marriage issues should be governed by the states ... We absolutely agree with Vice President Cheney, and now President Bush, that these issues should be dealt with by the states. Conservatives have always believed in states having authority over these issues ... Log Cabin believes in civil recognition of loving gay and lesbian couples in law-abiding, tax-paying committed relationships. This basic recognition will encourage stable families, offer tax fairness, insure inheritance rights and guarantee hospital visitation rights. Civil recognition will in no way interfere with religious traditions or religious freedom."

For those of you who are not familiar with Log Cabin Republicans, let us allow them to describe themselves, which they do at the bottom of every article.

President Bush has taken an action that he hopes will satisfy both his Christian supporters and his gay Republican supporters. Evidently, Bush is fairly confident that not many of his Evangelical Christian voters will discover his duplicity in this issue. Did you catch that key phrase? "think what an enrichment and greater advantage will follow their full reinstatement!"

No one should be "wise in their own conceits" in thinking that all Jews are evil, or that Israel is not God's Chosen People! The national reinstatement prophecy of Ezekiel 36-37 prophesies that God will bring Israel back into her land in a state of initial unbelief [Ezekiel 37:8c, i.e., "no spirit in them"].

God is not finished with Israel yet!
