Status Update

After weeks of not knowing why our initial order of "Rebuilding The Tower of Babel" was badly delayed, we finally received our answer. We received a letter informing us that the publisher had just filed for Chapter 11, Bankruptcy - Reorganization.

We believe our books must be printed and sitting on the warehouse floor, awaiting shipment, because it has been a month since we paid the first 50% downpayment. The balance is due upon shipment, and we stand ready to pay that immediately.

Thankfully, this bankruptcy is Chapter 11, Reorganization and not Chapter 7, Dissolution. Companies who go through Reorganization are usually back up and running within days. We hope and pray this is the case for this great book. Please pray that we can get this shipment very quickly.

I. The Israeli Cabinet was called into a sensitive, emergency meeting on Wednesday, August 8, to discuss Syrian missile activity which had suddenly become very worrisome to the Israel Defense Force.

NEWS BRIEF: "Israel holds 'very sensitive' meeting on war with Syria: Ministers briefed on Damascus' military escalations, movement of missiles", By Aaron Klein, WorldNetDaily, August 8, 2007

"TEL AVIV – Israel's security cabinet, composed of the country's top ministers, today held what was deemed a "very sensitive" closed-door meeting to plan for the possibility of war with Syria. Ministers were asked to leave their cell phones outside to prevent the possibility of leaks. In attendance were Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Strategic Affairs Minister Avigdor Lieberman and nine top lawmakers. It was the sixth such security cabinet meeting in recent weeks."

Did you catch that last sentence?

This "very sensitive" meeting was "the sixth such security cabinet meeting in recent weeks."

In other words, Israeli top military and intelligence leadership is so extremely concerned about the developing situation that they have now called six high-level meetings, briefing key decision makers about the preparations for war which their enemies are making.

This week's topic was Syria -- again. Listen to Syria's preparations, and you will realize why Israel's top leadership is so very concerned.

"... the ministers were briefed on recent Syrian military movements and Damascus' acquisition of missiles and rockets capable of hitting civilian population centers, including Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. The ministers were told Syria recently stepped up the pace of its own rocket production and moved some rockets close to the Israeli border. The ministers were briefed on possible war scenarios, Israeli military options for countering any Syrian attack and the readiness of Israel's home front, including bomb shelters and anti-missile systems."

"Israeli security officials say Syria boosted its military near the Syrian side of the Golan Heights with strengthened forces after carrying out increased training the past few months. The Syrian army has improved its fortifications, according to the Israeli security officials, and has received modern, Russian-made anti-tank missiles similar to the missiles that devastated Israeli tanks during the last Lebanon war ... Syria also received from Russia advanced anti-aircraft missiles."

Israel is facing a severe disaster if Syria and Hezbollah start firing their missiles against Jewish cities and towns, as this next segment reveals.

"... officials noted Syria stepped up the pace of weapons, including rockets, being shipped from the Syrian border to the Lebanese Hezbollah militia. The security officials said the greatest threats Syria poses to the Jewish state are the country's missiles and rockets. They noted Syria recently test-fired two Scud-D surface-to-surface missiles, which have a range of about 250 miles, covering most Israeli territory. The officials said the Syrian missile test was coordinated with Iran ... In addition to longer-range Scuds, Syria is in possession of shorter-range missiles such as 220 millimeter and 305 millimeter rockets, some of which have been passed on to Hezbollah."

IDF Intelligence was even more severe in its assessment. In fact, the IDF flatly contradicted the official government line!

NEWS BRIEF: "IDF Intelligence Warns: Syria May Launch Missile Attack Soon", Israel National News, August 8, 2007

"Contrary to the official Military Intelligence line, according to which Syria does not intend to attack Israel in the near future, many researchers in the intelligence community suspect that Syria is waiting for the right moment to strike, and that the moment may come soon. This is the reason that Israel's Home Front Readiness Cabinet met Wednesday to discuss the possibility of a massive Syrian missile attack, according to Ynet's veteran military analyst, Ron Ben-Yishai."

"Ben-Yishai says Syria is completing the construction of a large rocket array aimed at Israel from the Syrian Golan Heights. These are not Katyusha rockets but larger ones with a much greater range: 222 mm., 302 mm. and 600 mm. rockets with a payload of up to half a ton, which can reach Tel Aviv. Dozens of launchers have already been set up and these are capable of firing hundreds of missiles simultaneously."

"Syria also has SCUD missiles which can reach southern Israel, but these can supposedly be intercepted by the Israeli Arrow anti-missile system. The heavy missiles in the Golan cannot be intercepted by the Arrow, however. According to Ben-Yishai, all this means that the Syrians can launch a massive attack on Israel's home front without Israel having any advance warning of the attack."

What this last statement means is that, although the Syrians are currently deployed defensively, they can instantly spark a massive offensive attack without changing their visible deployment. Therefore, IDF Intelligence will receive no advanced warning that Syria is about to attack.

These are sobering words of warning, indeed. But, how is it possible that the IDF and the Israeli civilian leadership, could have allowed these mortal enemies to build up such war stocks for over 25 years, so that this crisis point is now reached?

As we noted in an earlier newsletter, if Israel chooses to not utilize her Scalar Weapons technology to erect a Tesla Dome over her population centers, she could suffer enormous loss of life and such damage that it might even "bomb her back into the Stone Age". If Israel suffers such a fate, the prophecy in Ezekiel 38-39 (the Russian-led invasion of Israel) makes sense:

At the time of the Russian-led invasion, will Russia be facing an Israel already so destroyed that her people are forced back into the type of economy where they use fire for cooking and heat? Many people scoff at this possibility, but few people who know the tens of thousands of missiles aimed at tiny Israel scoff. They know their cities can suffer this kind of destruction.

Why, you might ask, would Israel's leaders want to allow such destruction of their cities and much of their population? After all, suggesting that Israeli leaders would deliberately allow Israel to go through such destruction seems to the height of silliness; after all, don't they have the best interests of Israel at heart?

Of course, they do not, for they are not Israeli patriots, but globalist leaders of the Illuminati. Their goals are far different than you might believe. In this article, Chamish states the bottom line goal of these Sabbatean Jews:

Focus on the last sentence: "Israel has chosen morality and God, and that means execution is the correct punishment."

The Sabbatean Illuminati, financed by the House of Rothschild, tried to establish Israel as a nation again on the basis of their occult religious worship, as exemplified by the hexagram on the Israeli flag (Read NEWS2223, "Since The 'Star of David' Is A Satanic Hexagram, What Is The Biblical Symbol For Israel?")

Top Israeli leadership since May, 1948, has been Sabbatean. They were horrified that ancient religious Judaism was so prominent in the newly resurgent Israel. Since they hate all religiously observant Jews, they have evidently decided to create the scenario whereby Israel is nearly destroyed in this upcoming war, and to ensure that the religiously observant Jew is virtually annihilated.

Then, they intend to re-create the Israel of their desires, which means an occult society with no room for Ancient Judaism. These Sabbatean Jews are eagerly setting the stage for the Jewish Messiah of their making, i.e., an Illuminist Masonic Messiah. This type of Messiah, by the way, is exactly the type of Messiah for whom the Pharisees and Sadducees were awaiting, as we reveal in the series above, "Secret Societies Killed Jesus Christ".

I used to disbelieve Barry Chamish on his claims, because it sounds so ludicrous, on the surface. However, I recently took stock of the fact that Israeli leadership for the past 25 years has not taken simple, known military steps which would have defeated the repeated Palestinian suicide attacks. Arafat began sending his suicide teams into action in 1982, and Israeli leadership did not respond like you would expect them to if they truly had the best interests of the Jewish people at heart.

In the aftermath of horrific slaughter of Jewish civilians, Israeli leadership repeatedly ordered the IDF to strike empty buildings in the Palestinian territory. Or, the IDF would give several hours' warning to inhabitants of Palestinian office buildings that they were about to strike, so that the people inside could vacate.

In the instances where real action was taken -- as in the targeted assassinations campaign -- Israeli leadership always pulled away before final victory could be achieved.

In other words, top Israeli leadership for the past 25 years has been acting like they want Israel destroyed, as they have watched the Palestinians, Hezbollah, and Syria arm themselves to the teeth, without taking the kind of action which would really protect Israel's national life.

I now believe in Barry Chamish's warnings of a coming "Sabbatean Holocaust".

With this thought in mind, consider how Israeli leadership and the IDF continue to exhibit great signs of weakness.

II. Israeli leadership continued to display weakness.

As we have stated many times before, such perceived weakness can tempt the perennial enemy's Islamic leadership to believe that Israel is uniquely weak right now. Indeed, Islamic strategists now think that a "window of opportunity" has opened for them to successfully attack Israel.

NEWS BRIEF: "Olmert ‘Gesture’ Opens Door to 'Right of Return' for Arabs", Israel National News, July 30, 2007

"Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s latest 'good will gesture' to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has smashed Israel's long-standing policy rejecting the 'right of return' for the generations of descendants of Arabs who fled Israel during the 1948 War of Independence. Olmert decided to allow the immigration into Judea and Samaria of 41 Iraqi descendants of such Arabs who lived in British Mandatory Palestine. All have claimed to have family members living in the PA-controlled areas."

The issue here is not simply and only these 41 Palestinian families. The real issue is that Olmert's decision sets a precedent to allow over 5 million such Palestinians to one day return. This next segment makes this fact quite plain.

"Arab countries have long demanded that Israel absorb more than five million Arabs from foreign countries who claim to be descendants of the approximately half a million Arabs who fled during the 1948 war in Israel, when the surrounding Arab countries tried to destroy the nascent Jewish state ... Every previous government has rejected the Arab 'right of return' demand."

Why has every previous Israeli government rejected - out of hand, by the way -- this demand of return? If Israel, with only 7 million people, were to allow 5 more million Palestinians to enter the West Bank and Gaza, she would be facing a hostile population of over 7 million! Both Arab and Israeli leaders consider this scenario to be a "poison pill" for Israel.

And, yet, Prime Minister Olmert showed his weakness by reversing 59 years of decisions by former Prime Ministers by allowing 41 Palestinians back into the West Bank, thus setting legal precedent.

NEWS BRIEF: "Defense Minister Barak Advocates Withdrawal Even if Rockets Will Fall", by Nissan Ratzlav-Katz, Israel National News, August 8, 2007

"Defense Minister Ehud Barak said this week that major Israeli population centers would be threatened by Palestinian Authority rockets if Israel relinquishes Judea and Samaria. That, however, is no reason not to carry out such a withdrawal ... but rather to quickly equip Israel with a defense system against attacks from those very areas."

This letter subsequently states that actual installation of such a system is a number of years away. With diplomatic cave-in to the Palestinians a current hot topic, the pressure would be enormous to simply withdraw in hopes that not too much damage would be done before this new anti-missile system could be deployed.

But, there is much more horror to this story.

Note that the missiles in this debate are the "Palestinian Authority rockets", which are crude, almost home-made rockets. Such rockets have inflicted little damage. However, the rockets which will be raining down upon Israeli towns and cities are the much more sophisticated Syrian, Iranian, and Russian missiles which can quickly devastate an entire large city.

The danger here is that, based upon a rhetorical threat such as the current "Palestinian Authority rockets", Israel orders the evacuation of much of the West Bank. Once Jews are evacuated, the Palestinians and other Arab units, can come much closer to Israeli population centers. But, this time, the rockets which will be coming into Israel will be much, much more lethal.

Once again, Israel's leadership is exhibiting great weakness.

As we consider the next unbelievable story, let us not forget that the current Defense Secretary, Ehud Barak, was the former Prime Minister who ordered the abrupt and hastily conceived withdrawal from Lebanon in 2000. Arabs have always considered him to be a weak leader.

Now, let us examine this next ludicrous news story. Notice that the key Cabinet member in this story is none other than Ehud Barak, the man whom Arabs consider weak and vacillating!

NEWS BRIEF: "Israeli defense minister Ehud Barak will visit Cairo soon to discuss Egypt’s bid for renegotiation of 1979 peace accords", DEBKAfile Intelligence, August 4, 2007

"President Hosni Mubarak demands urgent and far-reaching changes in Egypt’s military deployment in the peninsula to combat al Qaeda’s spreading presence in Sinai and Gaza ... Egyptian officials are now telling Israeli and US officials that to draw a barrier between Gaza and the Egyptian peninsula and choke off the flow of al Qaeda operatives into Gaza, 7,500 special operations troops must be urgently sent out. They will need armored personnel carriers and vehicles armed with artillery and the backing of battle and surveillance helicopters."

Can you imagine this scenario? Egypt is now demanding that she be allowed to station 7,500 Special Forces troops on the Gaza/ Egyptian border. These troops would be backed by artillery, battle helicopters and surveillance helicopters!

As Syrian and Hezbollah have been frantically readying their forces for battle with the IDF, I wondered why Egypt was not trying to get troops on the border with Israel. Since Israel unilaterally withdrew from The Gaza Strip, Egyptian military personnel have manned the border checkpoints on the Gaza/Egyptian border.

Since the original Arab plan for annihilating Israel envisioned a major role for Egypt (Read NEWS1056 and NEWS1057), I was waiting for Egypt to propose a ploy allowing her to station troops on the Gaza border. If Israel agrees to this proposal, the best of Egyptian Special Forces troops can come right up to the border of Gaza, placing them just a few miles from Israel herself. But, if Hamas invites Egypt into The Gaza Strip in the hours before a breakout of hostilities, these Egyptian Special Forces troops could be right on the Israeli border, ready to strike a knife into the heart of the Jewish state.

Arab leadership now can see only weakness in the Israeli leadership. Perceived weakness starts wars. This next news article threatens the vaunted IDF.

NEWS BRIEF: "Rabbis threaten future of IDF: Insubordination draws on rabbis willing to see Israeli society crumble', by Alex Fishman, YNET News, August 7, 2007

"The Duchifat Battalion insubordination on Monday is the worst possible kind. It has no ideological or theological justification ... It’s the type of insubordination that draws on demagogical rabbis who are willing to untie any knot that is still keeping this society and army together. In light of their unfounded hatred and arrogance they are destined to lose what they hold most sacred. If the decay of insubordination spreads, there will be no IDF, and there will be no Greater Israel."

What did the rabbis do to provoke this kind of outrage? As the Israeli government ordered Border Police to aid in the forced evacuation of Jewish settlers in Hebron, the religious soldiers in the Duchifat Battalion were ordered to replace the Border Police.

However, "Rabbi Dov Lior, an important adjudicator and the head of the Nir yeshiva, decided to present his students with an impossible dilemma. He bypassed the military commanders and instructed the soldiers to refuse orders."

Arab leaders can only look upon this rhetoric flying around over this issue and feel supported in their belief that Israel is uniquely weak right now. The IDF has long been viewed as one of the most solid portions of Israel that not only protects her from her outside enemies, but also acts like a powerful glue to hold society together.

Whenever Arab enemies hear phrases like these, can they be blamed for feeling that Israel is really and truly vulnerable right now?

We Christians must pray that God's promises to Latter Days' Israel are fulfilled to the letter.

Did you catch that last promise?

"... they shall no more be torn up out of their land which I gave them, says the Lord your God."

This verse is one of those definitive, "Thus saith the Lord" passages! You can count on ti!

But, Israel will face such destruction that God will call upon her National Guardian Angel!

To this we can only cry, "Amen, come quickly, Lord Jesus"!

Israel will survive to welcome Jesus at the very end, but barely -- Divinely delivered.

III. Discerning observers are starting to realize that President Bush's massive aid package to Saudi Arabia ($30 billion), Egypt ($18 billion), and Israel ($20 billion) is a sure sign of the President's deteriorating diplomatic and military situation.

NEWS BRIEF: ""The Saudi arms deal: Why now?" By Dan Smith, Asia Times, Aug 8, 2007

"From the perspective of the hardliners in Bush's White House, the Saudis were undercutting every US goal in the Middle East ... Militarily overcommitted in midsummer, the White House has only two cards to play: pump up fear of Iran acquiring enough enriched uranium to build a nuclear weapon, or bribe the regional allies."

This view is becoming more prevalent every day. Discerning observers believe now that President Bush is trying desperately to prop up the shaky pro-Western Arab governments in the region through this massive aid package. Remember, these are the very regimes undermined by President Bush in the first place through our brutal, bloody conquest of Iraq and Afghanistan , through President Bush's New Map, which envisions a total change in the political boundaries of the entire Middle East, and through our nonsensical warmongering against an Iran who has possessed nuclear warheads since 2002 (Read NEWS1660 for full details)

This next segment is most interesting, because it reveals how far and wide the understanding has spread that the President and his men lied and lied and lied again about the threat Saddam posed to the world.

"The irony in this whole affair is that Bush started the Iraq war over weapons that never existed and that have not been used since 1945. Now his administration seems to think the way to end the war is to make sure that there are more weapons - ones that kill thousands every day. Go figure!"

Then, Dan Smith gets down to the brass tacks of this arms deal: "Why Now?"

"...looking at the Saudi record and Riyadh's increasing propensity to act in its own interests without coordinating with Washington, there is the suggestion that the Bush administration is suddenly wary of its 'other' flank in the Persian Gulf - the one occupied by the Saudi-dominated six-member Gulf Cooperation Council. Militarily overcommitted in midsummer, the White House has only two cards to play: pump up fear of Iran acquiring enough enriched uranium to build a nuclear weapon, or bribe the regional allies."

Yes sir, this whole package looks like a gigantic bribery attempt to persuade Saudi Arabia to back away from her newly-discovered ties to Russia and to Iran, and to cut back her support for Sunni insurgents killing Americans in Iraq.

But, if President Bush was going to give this much military hardware to Saudi Arabia, which has never signed a peace treaty with Israel, he needed to bribe Israel, as well.

NEWS BRIEF: "Bush's package deal: US military aid to Israel aimed at diffusing opposition to Saudi arms deal", by Zalman Shoval, YNET News, August 5, 2007

"The Bush Administration's decision to grant Israel a military aid package totaling $30 billion over the next few years ... as a means to diffuse the objections by many members of Congress to the massive arms deal with Saudi Arabia."

Since Saudi Arabia persistently hates Israel so much, and has consistently refused to renounce any use of force against the Jewish state, President Bush had no chance whatsoever to get Congressional approval of this massive arms give-away to the Saudi Princes unless he sugar-coated the deal by accompanying it with a similar arms deal for Israel.

However, you can still expect vigorous opposition by thinking Jewish lobby groups. This whole idea is simply ludicrous. Even the normally placid Germans think so, as we shall shortly examine.

But, first, let us hear the gist of this matter "from the horse's mouth".

NEWS BRIEF: "State Dept. Says Weapons Deal Is Message to Iran, Syria", Israel National News, July 31, 2007

"The Bush administration's proposed multi-billion dollar arms deal with Gulf States and Israel is a message to Syria and Iran 'who are seeking to expand their influence at the expense of forces of moderation in the region', State Department spokesman Tom Casey told reporters Monday."

We believe this massive arms deal was announced because President Bush is failing in his wars in the region, in his diplomatic battle with Iran, and because his policies have so alienated the average Arab throughout the Middle East.

Now, the State Department has just verified for us that Iran is the focus of this deal.

The German government strongly reacted to President Bush's boondoggle deal.

NEWS BRIEF: "German politicians against US arms deal - saying it might trigger a devastating regional conflict", Press TV, August 1, 2007

"German politicians have lambasted the US arms deal for the Persian Gulf region, saying it might trigger a devastating regional conflict. Arguing that the Middle East 'powder keg' is already explosive enough, foreign policy experts for Germany's governing coalition criticized US plans for military aid worth billions of dollars to Saudi Arabia and other Persian Gulf states..."

We agree that such an arms deal would greatly aggravate the entire region -- if the arms were ever actually delivered. With America's spending on the Iraq War already at $1 trillion, with the domestic budget bursting at the seams, and with the Dollar falling on every world market, who in their right mind would ever believe that America could ever have $68 billion to spend like this? This is a military aid package created simply for the diplomatic leverage its announcement might bring.

In fact, survivors of natural disasters in America like the Katrina Hurricane should rise up in arms against President Bush's plans to spend $68 billion in military arms when too little money is flowing to restore homes and basic survivors to these American hurricane survivors.

Late this week, President Bush received a very small reward for his multi-billion dollar arms deal with Saudi Arabia. One has to ask, whether this Saudi announcement is simply a "Tit for tat" arrangement because of this huge arms deal?

NEWS BRIEF: "Saudi Arabia backs ME peace plan: Supports establishing a viable Palestinian state", Press TV, August 8, 2007

"Saudi Arabia voices its support for the Washington-sponsored Middle East peace conference for establishing a viable Palestinian state. In a press conference on Tuesday, the Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal applauded Middle East peace plan proposed by the United States and discussed Riyadh's stand on the subject."

Meanwhile, Shi'ite Iran continues to achieve diplomatic inroads with Sunni Saudi Arabia.

NEWS BRIEF: "Iran Mends Fences with Arabs – Starting with Saudis", DEBKAfile Intelligence,

"The live wire at last week’s Arab League summit in Riyadh was undoubtedly the non-Arab guest of honor, Iranian foreign minister Manouchehr Mottaki. He breezed around the Arab delegations hard-selling the notion of a mutual defense treaty between Iran and the Arabs on the lines of the Tehran-Damascus pact. Mottaki argued that a treaty of this kind would allay Arab fears of an Iranian nuclear threat, put a stop to a Middle East nuclear arms race, provide the Arabs with a protective umbrella against Israeli aggression and set up an Arab-Islamic front against US and other foreign intervention in the region. The Iranian diplomat’s proposition fell on willing ears."

These two foreign ministers agreed to form committees to explore this Iranian concept of a military defense treaty between Iran and Saudi Arabia! Such a defense treaty would move Saudi Arabia solidly into the Russian/Iran axis, thus upsetting President Bush's carefully laid plans for the Middle East!

In fact, America might just as well pack her bags and leave the Middle East if we lose the support of Saudi Arabia. Such a defection would probably cause a domino effect, in which the UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait would defect to the Saudi/Iranian camp. These "moderate Arab" leaders would justifiably fear their own people should Saudi Arabia bolt the American camp.

IV. For weeks now, the American Press has been touting "progress" in Iraq. This past week proved that this notion was simply a mirage -- a false image which has quickly disappeared in the mire and muck called Iraq.

NEWS BRIEF: "Beyond Disaster: "The war in Iraq is about to get worse—much worse", We Hold These Truths, August 7, 2007

"The war in Iraq is about to get worse—much worse ... This will be sudden. The security of the Green Zone, our imperial city, will be increasingly breached. Command and control will disintegrate. And we will back out of Iraq humiliated and defeated. But this will not be the end of the conflict. It will, in fact, signal a phase of the war far deadlier and more dangerous to American interests."

Cutting Edge has believed that America will never actually leave the Middle East once we invaded Iraq. We have held this position based upon the prophecies of Isaiah 13, which is the End Times prophecy against Ancient Babylon (Iraq; Read NEWS1920). God shows a progression of events in one verse, after describing the coalition army coming against Iraq for this final judgment:

Did you catch that sequence?

1) First, this coalition army drawn from the far corners of the earth to deliver God's judgment against Iraq come with "wrath and raging anger to make the land ... a desolation".

2) Secondly, God expands His judgment from Iraq to the entire world

At that point, the judgments in Joel 3 begin.

The American Army will never really leave Iraq before God's final judgments begin.

Let us return to this most fascinating editorial from our featured news article, above:

"Iraq is in a state of anarchy. The American occupation forces are one more source of terror tossed into the caldron of suicide bombings, mercenary armies, militias, massive explosions, ambushes, kidnappings and mass executions. But wait until we leave." (We Hold These Truths, August 7, 2007)

This thought is sobering, is it not? Our warfare for the past four years has produced a "caldron of suicide bombings, mercenary armies, militias, massive explosions, ambushes, kidnappings and mass executions." What will the situation deteriorate into once we leave?

"Iraq has oil—lots of it. It also has water in a part of the world that is running out of water. And the dismemberment of Iraq will unleash a mad scramble for dwindling resources that will include the involvement of neighboring states ... But Turkey, Syria and Iran have no intention of allowing the Kurds to create a viable enclave ... This anarchy could end with foreign forces, including Iran and Turkey, carving up the battered carcass of Iraq. No matter what happens, many, many Iraqis are going to die. And it is our fault." We could not have summed up this dire situation any better. When you realize that the vast majority of Iraqis who will die in the next 10 years will do so because of being exposed to deadly Depleted Uranium poisoning, you have to conclude that Bush's attack was, indeed, the final physical judgment upon Ancient Babylon. America is God's sword to fulfill this judgment.

The resignations have dealt another blow to the United States, which on Tuesday had a record number of American troops in Iraq trying to salvage the deteriorating situation. The US has in the past tended to approach the problems of Iraq with military strategies whose impact has been insufficient, and already we can see that the effects of the current military surge has been limited. What Iraq needs now is political surge - and one that comes from all directions, both from within Iraq and from the international community."

Of course, the chances of such a political surge occurring is somewhere between zero and nil. The Iraqi War is turning out exactly as Cutting Edge predicted five years ago -- a planned failed war. My heart aches for the dead and wounded of this war, who have suffered greatly for nothing in a planned lost cause -- just as my heart ached for the 58,000+ servicemen who died in vain in Vietnam.

It's also true that, as a senior US intelligence officer told the Washington Post this week, 'the British have basically been defeated in the south'. Far from keeping rival militia from each other's throats, over 80% of violent attacks in the area are directed against British troops."

The final conclusion of this article is that, sooner or later, President Bush is going to have to negotiate with the Shi'ite and Sunni factions if he is ever going to get out of Iraq without being skinned alive.

All eyes are now on General Petraeus as he prepares to deliver his early September speech detailing the progress of the war in Iraq. This speech is being heralded as a most important milestone in the American war against the Iraqi people.

It seems true that President Bush has promised to abide by the recommendations of his top commander, General David Petraeus. If the general reports that no progress has been made, and none is likely in the short term, the pressure will truly be on the President to begin withdrawing American troops.

General Petraeus is scheduled to present his report to Congress on September 15.

At that moment, the world shall learn the future direction of President Bush's failed war.

V. As the British began to pull out of Basra, the situation deteriorated so badly, so quickly, that the peoples of the world received a snapshot of what will occur when American troops pull out.

For the record, the United States has now declared that the British have now been officially defeated in southern Iraq.

"London: American officials believe British forces have been defeated in Basra ... A senior US intelligence official told The Washington Post that British commanders had allowed militias loyal to three Shia groups take control of the city's streets. 'The British have basically been defeated in the south', he said. The report said a contingent of 500 British troops based at Basra Palace were 'surrounded like cowboys and Indians'."

Lest any reader is tempted to become complacent about the British predicament, please remember that many observers have been warning for a year now that the security situation inside the American Headquarters in Baghdad -- also known as "the Green Zone" has deteriorated so badly that an all-out insurgent attack is expected. Casualties amongst America's elite leaders who have their offices in The Green Zone could be very heavy. Already, daily mortar and/or artillery fire lands within The Green Zone.

In the few weeks left before the British finally pull out, we can only wait to wonder if the prediction made by Illuminist author, H.G. Wells in 1933 will prove to be true. Do you remember Wells' prediction?

As Great Britain hands over security control in Basra and the surrounding areas to local Iraqi police and army, the 91 Iraqi interpreters who have worked for the British are starting to panic. They properly believe that they and their families will be promptly murdered as traitors. They also have no faith in the local Iraqi police and/or Army troops to protect them.

But, the new British PM, Gordon Brown, is not so sure he wants to grant these interpreters political asylum. If he does not snatch these interpreters and their families to safety now, all Iraqis working for America are likely to start deserting in droves.

'the people started to support the militia and hate the British Army. That put all the Iraqi interpreters in danger. One of our friends, Ali, was shot dead'.”

"They dare to travel home only once a week for a two-day break before coming back to work. 'What will we do when the British troops leave Iraq? If we stay the militia will kill us', Mr Mageed said. "

But, the new PM Brown is not so sure he wants to save the lives of these Iraqi interpreters.

Of course, Britain cannot save every victim of the Iraq war. But it does have a moral responsibility to save those (and their families) who risked their lives to assist British troops, and who will almost certainly be targeted for death and torture once the soldiers leave. And let’s not overlook a practical military issue here: who will ever work for the British Army in a warzone if they know that later they will be tossed aside like a spent cartridge?'

The entire sorry story of the Iraqi war is coming to an end very, very badly. We shall soon hear multiple stories of suspected collaborators being brutally murdered without trial or evidence. VI. New York City policemen reacted quickly to a DEBKAfile report that a "dirty radiological bomb" was about to be exploded in downtown Manhatten.

When nothing was discovered, and the emergency was passed, New York City officials started to stress that the DEBKAfile original report was 'unsubstantiated", emphasizing that they were reacting strongly just in case the report was true.

However, before you discount the Illuminati Plan to destroy New York City with a nuclear device need only to read the account for yourself.

Few Christians who were paying attention to the Bill and Hillary show from 1992 - 2000 need much explanation as to Hillary's bad fruits, but let us remind you of some of the things she did and said.

3) Hillary advocated such a sweeping Socialist revamping of Medicare and Medicaid that Bill had to take her off the project to protect his own poll ratings. Today, running as President, Hillary is again pushing Universal Health Care.

What issues did Hillary stress?

In case you have not realized it yet, "Civil Unions" is code word for "Same Sex Marriage". In practice, they are one and the same. President Bush also supports Civil Unions, much to the delight of Gay and Lesbian groups all across America!

At least Senator Obama had the courage to admit that these two terms are identical.

"Senator Clinton's comments echoed those of Senator Obama, who earlier insisted civil unions for same-sex couples would be equivalent to marriage. 'From my perspective, as I've proposed it, it (civil union) wouldn't be a lesser thing', Senator Obama said. 'Semantics may be important to some but what I'm interested in is making sure that those legal rights are available to all'."

Getting back to the Reverend Billy Graham, this is not the first time he has publicly praised the Clintons!
