Tuesday, March 20, Cutting Edge received our fourth, and largest, shipment of "Riddles In Stone" DVD. We had more than enough to ship the remaining orders. Faith is our walk, but fellowship sensibly felt is our rest. Faith is the road, but communion with Jesus is the well from which the pilgrim drinks.

---------- This Weeks Hot News ----------Flames of War Rising In Middle East!

Before we get started, let us review the 2003 Iranian plan by which they planned to defeat the American-led invasion of Iraq.

NEWS BRIEF: "Iran Preparing To 'Light Many Fires' To Defeat The Americans", The Jerusalem Post, March 21, 2003

" 'Iraq is a swamp', Khamenei said in his address to the guards. 'The Great Satan will get caught in that swamp; and that will speed up its inevitable collapse'. In a recent article Velayati spelled out a strategy aimed at 'confronting the Great Satan in a number of fronts.' " (Quoted in NEWS1929, "Has Iran 'Ignited Many Fires' To Set Off Middle East Regional War?")

Think of the "many fires" now exploding or threatening to explode throughout the Middle East:

1) Iraq - US forces are tied down in a campaign most people now think is not "winnable"

2) Afghanistan - Resurgent Taliban forces are threatening the puppet Afghan government

3) Iran -- accused of directing the insurgency against the Americans in Iraq -- even though Shi'ites are not fighting -- the Sunnis are doing the fighting against the Americans

America is threatening to blow conflict throughout the Middle East by attacking Iran's legal nuclear facilities to "prevent" Iran from developing a nuclear bomb which we know she has possessed since mid-2002! (Read NEWS1660, "Mushroom Clouds In The Middle East")

4) Hezbollah is now convinced she can win a major war against Israel. She has built up her forces to a higher level than before last Summer's 33-day Israeli war against her in Lebanon.

5) Hamas is said to be preparing for a war against Israel from the Gaza Strip, and is infiltrating arms through the Egyptian border as rapidly as she can!

6) Turkey and Iran have been threatening to attack the Kurds in northern Iraq

Now, let us examine the story that Turkey has already poured across the border!

I. Turkey has already sent her troops over the Iraqi northern border!

NEWS BRIEF: "Turkey's Troops Have Already Crossed Into Iraq", DEBKAfile Intelligence, March 22, 2007

"DEBKA-Net-Weekly's military sources disclose the Turkish government decided not to wait for the spring, but to pre-empt the Kurdish spring offensive. Turkish troops are therefore on the move in the northern Iraqi region of Kurdistan, aiming to capture the PKK's Kandil mountain strongholds near the borders of southeast Turkey and western Iran."

We posted an article on this possible Turkish invasion of northern Iraq a couple days ago, NEWS2198, "Western Pressure Has Now Forced Turkey Out of the Pro-American Orbit and Into the Russian - Iranian Orbit! Turkey is now aligning herself with Russia, just as Ezekiel 38-39 prophecy foretells.")

In this article, we noted that the proposed timing of this incursion into northern Iraq was Spring, right after the snow melts. As you look at this map, above, you can see how much of a major consideration the weather is, for the mountain ranges are in the range of 12,000 feet above sea level!

This next news segment addresses this timing issue:

"The move by Prime minister Erdogen and his cabinet was prompted by an intelligence report that the PKK had managed to recruit thousands of fresh fighters during the winter months. They have all been armed and equipped with modern weapons, supplied mostly by Iraqi Kurdish leaders. Sources in Ankara report that the PKK's fighting force has ballooned as never before to an estimated 10,000 men under arms." (Ibid.)

Standard military doctrine dictates that a conventional army force outnumber insurgents 5-1, which means that, for 10,000 Kurdish fighters, Turkey needs to commit 50,000 soldiers. Since Turkey had moved the 2nd and 3rd Armies into position at the Iraq border, it seems logical that 50,000 Turks are now operating in northern Iraq.

This incursion so far has been blacked out from Western Media. And, for very good reason.

President Bush has always spoken of Turkey as an ally of the United States. Conversely, he has never listed Turkey as an enemy, or accused them of harboring an enemy, nor has he listed Turkey as an "Axis of Evil" country!

Therefore, if Turkey has really struck over the northern Iraq border to attack Kurdish fighters, Washington will be mightily embarrassed! How is it that President Bush's policy has now angered and alienated such a strong and consistent ally as Turkey! You can add this charge to the many impeachment charges the Democrats are piling up against Bush.

Furthermore, this incursion will surely complicate any plans Bush might have to attack Iran. Given the newly-found warm relationship with the Iranian government, it is possible -- maybe even probable -- that Turkey has coordinated her attack into Iraq with Iran. After all, they both equally hate the Kurds, and the Islamic hardline Prime Minister of Turkey probably shares the anti-American sentiments of his Iranian counterpart!

Even though Iran has threatened to also attack the Kurds from her side of the Iraqi northern border, such an incursion would probably set off all-out regional war and prompt an American attack on her facilities. However, a Turkey attack would not prompt such an American response.

Iranian military forces could thus be concentrated elsewhere to blunt an American offensive. Since the British are beginning to pull out of Basra, the Iranian military can continue massing her forces on the southern Iraqi border, opposite Basra.

Thus, American military officers in the Pentagon and on the ground must contend with enemy forces on the ground in northern Iraq and enemy forces massed on the border in the south. This scenario is almost Checkmate!

II. Has Israeli top leadership set another war with Hezbollah in motion?

Wars have been started by statements like this one!

NEWS BRIEF: "General Ashkenazi Warns IDF Not Ready for Another War", by Hana Levi Julian, Israel National News, 3/22/2007

"The army will not be ready any time soon to handle another war, according to IDF Chief of General Staff Lt-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi. The IDF chief warned the security cabinet Wednesday that the process of bringing the army up to battle-ready status would take several years."

I repeat: Wars have been started by statements like this one!

General Ashkenazi has just recently been appointed to the office of IDF Chief of Staff, and he was addressing the Israeli Security Cabinet as to the lessons the IDF learned in last Summer's debacle in Lebanon. At the time, we noted that the IDF had failed to accomplish her mission of uprooting and destroying the military capability of Hezbollah in Lebanon. IDF troops took too many casualties, lost too many tanks, and could not achieve victory over a mere insurgent army.

In fact, the scenario was so ludicrous that I was prompted to wonder out loud if Israel had not meant to lose the war in order to tempt the Arabs into thinking that they could win on a conventional field of battle. With American forces also getting shackled in Iraq, Islamic military and political leaders might well begin to toy with the idea that now would be a very good time to launch their coveted war of annihilation against Israel.

With this thought in mind, consider three other major developments:

1) Hezbollah has now replaced all her munitions stocks she lost in the 33-day war in July-August, 2006

2) Syria is now stealthily moving troops and supplies forward, toward the Israeli border. This action strongly implies that Syria is planning to launch a war. Arab military doctrine has always envisioned a combined attack against Israel by the Palestinians from within, Hezbollah from Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt.

I can only think of the End of the Age prophecy awaiting to be fulfilled:

3) Egypt has been able to move significant police forces right on the Gaza border. It would not take long for conventional army forces to move into place for an attack. In fact, many of the Egyptian "policemen" which are now on this border could very well be Egyptian Special Forces.

4) Palestinians have been infiltrating arms through Egyptian checkpoints as quickly as possible. Of course, the Egyptians nearly always turn a blind eye towards the infiltration. Hamas is said to be preparing a major offensive from the Gaza Strip.

5) Prime Minister Olmert is increasingly viewed by observers both within and without Israel as an incompetent leader. Not only has he muffed the 33-day Lebanon War, but now he has been implicated in an illegal real estate money deal.

In this moment of perceived weakness on the part of Israel at this unique moment of time, Arab governments throughout the region could easily decide that the moment has arrived for that planned all-out attack which they hope will finally annihilate the Jewish state.

I can only think of that prophecy in Zechariah 12:

We are about to see major prophecy fulfilled, in our Daily News!

III. News this week showed again how closely American forces are fulfilling the End of the Age final judgment against Ancient Babylon (Iraq).

Before you read these news articles, please take a moment to read the prophetic article we posted four years ago, as Coalition Forces were crossing the Iraqi border, as the information contained reads like today's news, and is being fulfilled in the atrocities of our troops for the past four years.

Now, let us examine current news which indicates that certain portions of this prophecy are coming occurring right now.

NEWS BRIEF: "A country drenched in blood", By Patrick Cockburn in Khanaqin, Diyala Province, The Independent News, 20 March 2007

"Four years to the day after US and British troops invaded Iraq, its people are full of fear. Iraqis often have a look of half-suppressed panic in their eyes as they tell how violent death has touched them again and again. almost everywhere in Iraq is dangerous. "Militiamen kidnapped my brother Natik, who used to drive this tanker, and forced him into the boot of their car," he continued. "When they took him out they shot him in the head and left his body beside the road. I am frightened of going back to Kanaan where my family are refugees because the militiamen would kill me as well."

"Iraqis expected their lives to get better when the US and Britain invaded with the intention of overthrowing Saddam Hussein four years ago today. They were divided on whether they were being liberated or occupied but almost no Iraqis fought for the old regime in 2003 .. No sooner had Saddam Hussein fallen than Iraqis were left in no doubt that they had been occupied not liberated ... "

"For Iraqis, every year has been worse than the last since 2003. In November and December last year alone 5,000 civilians were murdered, often tortured to death ... Mr Blair and Mr Bush have long implied that the violence is confined to central Iraq. This lie should have been permanently nailed by the Baker-Hamilton report written by senior Republicans and Democrats, which examined one day last summer when the US military had announced that there had been 93 attacks and discovered that the real figure was 1,100. In other words the violence was being understated by a factor of 10."

Not only did this war begin on lies and exaggerations, it has continued on this basis ever since! At no other time in American history has the White House and the Pentagon ever lied so continuously; this lying is even worse than during the Vietnam War!

"Diyala, its once-prosperous villages now becoming heavily armed Sunni or Shia fortresses, is a symbol of the failure of the occupation that began four years ago ... The invasion four years ago failed. It overthrew Saddam but did nothing more. It destabilised the Middle East. It tore apart Iraq. It was meant to show the world that the US was the world's only superpower that could do what it wanted. In fact it demonstrated that the US was weaker than the world supposed."

The country of Iraq has not only been torn apart in conventional war, but is fatally wounded by Depleted Uranium munitions poisoning.

Not surprisingly, tens of thousands of Iraqis are fleeing this hellish place.

NEWS BRIEF: "Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis fleeing to safer Kurdish region", By Edward Wong, The International Herald Tribune March 22, 2007

"BAGHDAD: About 160,000 Iraqis from outside the mountainous Kurdish north have moved there to flee a growing civil war ... That number is the first comprehensive figure for internal flight to Iraqi Kurdistan that has been released by any organization. It is also far higher than partial estimates previously disclosed by Kurdish officials. Little aid is available for those or other internally displaced Iraqis, because the Iraqi and United States governments, as well as the United Nations, have failed to acknowledge the extent of the crisis ... The report's number of 160,000 displaced Iraqis in Kurdistan is based on estimates by the Iraqi Red Crescent Society."

Now that Coalition Forces have devastated Iraq, destroyed much of its infrastructure and commerce, and killed an estimated 655,000 civilians (Related Article, "Pyramid Of Skulls), can we be surprised to learn that many tens of thousands are fleeing to the north, where the Kurds have kept matters pretty well under control?

I find it ironic that Turkey is said to have launched a cross-border incursion into the only relatively stable portion of Iraq! But, as we shall see later on, the Kurds (which are the Biblical Medes) are also given a place in the prophecy of Isaiah 13!

Let us return to this article for more pertinent and shocking information!

"The movement of Iraqis within and outside their homeland has produced the world's fastest-growing populations of refugees and internally displaced people. The United Nations estimates that two million Iraqis have fled the country, which has a population of 26 million."

Two million people have fled Iraq since President Bush launched "Operation Iraqi Freedom", while Coalition Forces have killed 655,000 civilians. Compared to total population of 26 million people, this death toll is is fully 10% of the total population!

Now, when you throw in the daily health effects of breathing contaminated Depleted Uranium dust and eating uranium in the foods and drinking contaminated water, you have to realize that nearly all of the population of Iraq is dying! As we have reported in earlier articles, birth deformities in Iraq have increased by 400-600%, while cancer rates are up 600-1000%! (NEWS1954).

With this understanding, you can better understand conditions facing Iraqi citizens right now. They are literally dying by inches every day, in addition to suffering the effects of a civil war and an American military machine which has been accused of carrying out "ethnic cleansing"!

NEWS BRIEF: "Despairing and disregarded - the daily quest to get out of Baghdad", The Guardian (London), March 21, 2007

"In the cold and filthy yard of Baghdad's Resafa passport office, hundreds of people cram in every day to attempt a Kafka-esque journey through post-Saddam bureaucracy that must be negotiated in order to leave the country ... in the past four years hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have packed up their worldly goods, sold what they could not carry and fled to join a growing diaspora spread through neighbouring countries. As the violence has increased so has the desperation behind the thick blast walls that ring the passport office yard."

"As Baghdad's civil war has escalated, business has boomed. Many have found themselves unable to reach the passport office where their names are registered ... Over the whisky, the talk is all about how to get into the EU: routes and prices are discussed, and phone numbers of smugglers are exchanged. "All I want is to reach Europe," Samir told me as he walked down the hill from the flat that night. "I don't care where, anywhere, I am not going back to Baghdad."

The stories coming out of Iraq are all the same: conditions are so deplorable, and the stench of death is pervasive, that people just want to get out to anywhere, because they are never going back to Baghdad.

Life has literally become a living Hell.

But, that is exactly what God said He would put Ancient Babylon (Iraq) through at the End of the Age, as He wreaked His final vengeance of judgment upon that land where almost all the Witchcrafts practiced throughout the world began.

Listen as we quote relevant excerpts from NEWS1704:

* The weapons used by the invading armies will deliver such unprecedented destruction that the Iraqi people can scarcely believe it. Listen:

Can you put yourself in the shoes of these poor Iraqi people? They are reeling from the effects of the "unprecedented warfare" which Coalition Forces have unleashed upon them. Hundreds of thousands have already died by the excessive force used by Coalition Forces, and about 95% of the people will die within the next 15 years from Depleted Uranium poisoning. Listen to this last verse of prophetic judgment which is now daily working toward completion.

 

How complete is Iraq's destruction going to be? Listen to God's final judgment:

"And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans' pride, shall be like Sodom and Gomorrah when God overthrew them. Babylon shall never be inhabited or dwelt in from generation to generation.." (Isaiah 13:19-20; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary)

IV. This news article demonstrates very clearly why the Iraqi military and police can never, ever defend themselves.

Public rhetoric is strongly parallel to the Vietnam War, where we were told repeatedly that the South Vietnamese ultimately had to win the war for themselves; for years, we were given wonderfully encouraging reports as to how successful the "Vietnamization" of the war had been. And, in the two years after American withdrawal it took the North Vietnamese to attack, President Nixon and National Security Adviser, Henry Kissinger, looked like geniuses and heroes. But, when the attack caused a collapse of South Vietnam akin to a "House of Cards", only a few discerning people remembered the false rhetoric.

As this story illustrates, history is really repeating itself.

NEWS BRIEF: "Iraqi police disloyal, says chief", BBC News, March 20, 2007

"An Iraqi police chief cannot trust one third of his officers because they are loyal to illegal militias, he has told the BBC. General Abdul Hussein Al Saffe, head of policing in Dhi Qhar province, told the BBC's Paul Wood he could not sack them as they had political protection."

Several years ago, when American authorities first announced that they were going to pour significant dollars into the creation of an Iraqi police and military force, we warned that insurgents were going to so significantly infiltrate this new force that it would prove to be totally unreliable.

In the years since, we have posted numerous articles about the high degree of infiltration of Iraqi forces which the insurgents have achieved. Further, we have seen a number of high-level assassinations and/or attempted assassinations, operations which could have only been carried out by insurgents which have infiltrated the Iraqi forces at extremely high levels.

Now, let us return to this story.

"... one policeman had been sacked after he was caught smuggling weapons to be used against British troops, only to be later re-instated and promoted by officials in Baghdad. He even said he feared some members of the police were using torture as they had done under Saddam Hussein."

"Another senior Iraqi officer, Brigadier General Ghalib al Jaza'aere, said he had been forced to hire 300-400 officers who were completely illiterate."

This disclosure of such severe difficulties in the Iraqi force could not come at a worse time.

"The officers' comments came as the British handed over their base in central Basra to the Iraqi authorities. The Iraqi flag was raised over the Old State building, described as one of the most frequently attacked sites in the country. Platoon Commander Lieutenant Bradley Pino said soldiers there were shot at with guns, rocket-propelled grenades and mortars every night." (Ibid.)

This scenario is truly "worst-case". It illustrates that the Iraqi Army and Police forces -- so highly touted by American and British authorities -- are riddled with the enemy. At the appointed time, their collapse will also resemble a "House of Cards". If the enemy is truly wise, they will wait until the British really leave before launching their all-out attack. At that time, the Americans in central and western Iraq will not be able to fill the power vacuum left by the British in the South.

At this point, if the South falls into enemy hands, the question will be whether American forces can both maintain their tenuous control over Central and Western Iraq AND keep the two supply roads open which run from Kuwait to Baghdad -- passing right through the area the British are vacating. (Read NEWS2176, "Are American Forces In Danger of Bloody Defeat In Iraq On A Scale of "Waterloo"?)

V. Insurgents dramatically illustrated how "out of control" the situation is in Baghdad right now, even with the "surging" American troops covering Baghdad like a blanket and even at the heavily fortified Coalition Headquarters, also known as the "Green Zone".

The new United Nations secretary was in Baghdad to attend a "confidence building" meeting with Prime Minister Maliki. The insurgents reminded him of who really controlled Baghdad.

NEWS BRIEF: "Rocket Hits Near U.N. Chief in Baghdad", MyWay News, March 22, 2007

"BAGHDAD (AP) - A rocket landed near the prime minister's office Thursday during the first visit to Iraq by the head of the United Nations in nearly a year and a half, sending Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon ducking unharmed behind a podium at a news conference. "

"The rocket caused no injuries but rattled the building in the heavily guarded Green Zone, sent small chips of debris floating from the ceiling, and left a three-foot-wide crater about 50 yards away outside. It struck right after al-Maliki, standing next to Ban, had finished telling reporters that Ban's visit was a sign that Iraq was on the road to stability."

As we stated, the insurgents really sent a dramatic message, i.e., that despite words of encouragement and of "progress", the insurgents still retain the remarkable ability to strike strongly at will. As the debris floated down from the ceiling, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and PM Maliki must have been trembling in their shoes, for the rocket could have hit the building squarely instead of landing just 50 feet away!

Another story surfaced this week which indicated that all is not well with American forces, either.

NEWS BRIEF: "Army Revises Upward Number of Desertions in ’06", By PAUL von ZIELBAUER, The New York Times, March 23, 2007

"A total of 3,196 active-duty soldiers deserted the Army last year, or 853 more than previously reported, according to revised figures from the Army. The new calculations by the Army, which had about 500,000 active-duty troops at the end of 2006, significantly alter the annual desertion totals since the 2000 fiscal year. In 2005, for example, the Army now says 2,543 soldiers deserted, not the 2,011 it had reported. For some earlier years, the desertion numbers were revised downward."

"National Public Radio first reported on Tuesday that the Army had been inaccurately reporting desertion figures."

Can you imagine that? Our own government has been "cooking the books" on the number of desertions from the American military. Just a couple of weeks ago, our government was called on the carpet because it was estimating that the number of non-battlefield injuries was 10 times what they had reported!

Most soldiers defecting today are doing so because they are facing repeated tours of duty, and they are facing wives who are bitterly complaining, with some even divorcing their poor husbands. Others are sick with a variety of illnesses, most of which are probably brought on by repeated exposure to Depleted Uranium.

I find the numbers of desertions shockingly high. Desertion is traditionally a good barometer as to the health of a fighting force. No wonder the Pentagon continuously downsized the numbers.

VI. Former Vice President Al Gore took his Global Warming message to Congress, using words of such great hyperbole that only the undiscerning could ever be deceived. Unfortunately, those types of people seem to be in the majority right now, encouraged by the reporting of Mass Media.

NEWS BRIEF: "Gore Implores Congress to Save Planet: "The planet has a fever", By NEDRA PICKLER, My Way News, March 21, 2007

"WASHINGTON (AP) - Al Gore, who has reversed his political fortunes to become a potential contender in the 2008 presidential race, made an emotional return to Congress Wednesday in an appeal for an even more dramatic rescue - saving the planet. Gore ... implored lawmakers to adopt a list of policy prescriptions to stop global warming."

"Gore drew overflow crowds as he testified before House and Senate panels about a "true planetary emergency" if Congress fails to act ... Gore insisted that the link is beyond dispute and is the source of broad agreement in the scientific community."

" 'The planet has a fever', Gore said. 'If your baby has a fever, you go to the doctor. If the doctor says you need to intervene here, you don't say, 'Well, I read a science fiction novel that told me it's not a problem.' If the crib's on fire, you don't speculate that the baby is flame retardant. You take action'."

The very fact that such incendiary language could even be used by a speaker on Capitol Hill shows that this propaganda campaign is well underway and probably in its final stages. Some lawmakers were critical, but others warmly supportive.

NEWS BRIEF: "Senator Barbara Boxer Opening Statement Hearing on Al Gore's Perspective on Global Warming: "You have given us hope", US Senate Committee, On Environment and Public Works, March 21, 2007

"Mr. Vice President, we are honored and privileged to have you here with us today, to discuss one of the most important challenges facing humankind – global warming. There are some moments in human history when individuals have the ability to make a difference ... Personally, I believe your work has made all the difference for the future of our planet and for our children and grandchildren.

"When the history of this issue is written, your name will be at the forefront, I only hope the story has a good ending. And that, colleagues, is up to us ... Vice President Gore, you have not waited, you have acted on your own behalf and you, more than anyone else, have shown us the true danger that global warming poses for the future of our planet."

"But you have done much more than that. Because you have also looked at solutions and given us hope and reason to be optimistic. The time for action is now and the next decade will likely tell the tale of whether we, as a species, have been able to act decisively to protect our planet."

This next news story shows the ridiculous extreme to which this Global Warming Craze has come.

NEWS BRIEF: "Tourists cause global warming", News24, 22/03/2007

"Madrid - Holidaymakers may be ruining their favourite destinations through pollution and greenhouse gases, making the tourism industry one of the world's worst polluters ... A flight to that pristine beach and a few nights in an air-conditioned hotel room, when repeated on the mass scale of modern tourism, is all it takes to put the holiday business on a polluting par with heavy industries. 'Tourism is unfortunately one of the vectors of (climate) change at the moment and contributes, through its excesses, to the process of global warming', World Tourism Organisation (WTO) director general Francesco Frangialli told an international conference on meteorology in Madrid this week."

At this point, all Global Warming advocates turn to statistics to prove their point, and usually, they are later discovered to have been lying, greatly exaggerating the statistics.

"In 2006, 842 million people took a holiday in a foreign country and 40% of them flew to their destinations. That's 336 million people, or more than the population of the United States, taking trips which spew greenhouse gases that fuel global warming ... He said 1.1 billion tourists were expected to take trips abroad in 2010, and 1.6 billion by 2020."

Then, this "expert" tries to really scare us:

* "As tourists pollute their way around the world, popular destinations such as the pristine but low-lying Maldive islands in the Indian Ocean may disappear as sea levels rise."

* "Tanzania's famous lakes, a staple of the African tourism industry, will dry up."

* "In Europe's alps the ski season will become shorter, the pistes fewer and harder to find."

* "According to a French weather expert, a temperature rise of 1.8 degrees C would translate to 40 fewer days of snowfall at mid-level altitudes of 1 500m."

What has brought us to this point of the "really big" global scare? Over 100 years ago, the Illuminati penned their first plans as to how their leaders would maneuver the peoples of the world into their coveted "New World Order".
