The protocol is due for Knesset ratification Wednesday. National security adviser Gen. (Res.)Giora Eiland told the ministers that Israeli troops should have been pulled out ahead of the Egyptian police deployment. Now Egypt has got the advantage it wanted, permission to place its troops on the Philadelphi Gaza border while Israel loses points.
