Army is giving the soldiers 3 weeks leave to come home, but they have to buy their own ticket from Kuwait to home

August 30

Now the Army is giving the soldiers 3 weeks leave to come home, but they have to buy their own ticket from Kuwait to home, in my husband's case, to Atlanta. The ticket is $1200, and I will gladly pay it, but what about those guys that can't afford it? First we were told, that they would fly them to Boston. What is so hard about flying these soldiers home all the way with no out of pocket expense to them?

Also, in the Army Times, it mentions that our government wants to cut the family separation pay and the hazardous duty pay back to what it was before the war. Well, if it is safe enough to lower the amounts, why aren't they all home?

I would also like to thank you for this website.
