Focus On The Family has shown its true spiritual colors -- again and hopefully, finally, to the genuine believers in Jesus Christ. Time and time again, we have posted warnings about the true spiritual nature of Focus, but most of its supporters have turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to our pleas. However, now that Focus On The Family has gone on public record supporting the extension of legal benefits to gay couples, we can only hope that millions of Christians will now understand that James Dobson -- and his Focus On The Family organization -- is nothing more than a wolf in sheep's clothing, whose sole purpose is to act as a Disinformation Agent, telling a whole lot of truth in order to finally deceive.

Let us now examine the current news story, where a Focus spokesman publicly announced that they were supporting Colorado state legislation which granted legal benefits to gay couples. This story appeared in the major online news organization, The Denver Post.

NEWS BRIEF: "A fresh focus on domestic partners": Focus on the Family is supporting legislation to provide expanded legal benefits for heads of untraditional households including gay couples, Editorial, The Denver Post, 02/06/2006

"We were pleasantly surprised last week when Focus on the Family expressed its support for state legislation that would provide expanded legal benefits for same-sex couples and other non-traditional households. In the chaos of domestic-partner, civil-union and gay-marriage measures, there will be plenty of time to take sides in 2006 as state lawmakers and voters consider whether to expand the standing of same-sex couples to anything that resembles heterosexual marriage. "

Please notice that the editorial staff of the Denver Post is under no illusion that this current drive toward "domestic-partner" and "civil-unions" is really aimed at establishing some legal entity which "resembles heterosexual marriage". But, that should not be news to informed, discerning Christians; of course, that is the aim of the gay crowd and their many supporters.

Therefore, given this contextual understanding, no Christian organization should compromise on this issue in any way, shape, or form, for that would give strength to the growing movement straining to establish gay marriage -- by whatever name you want to call it. Given this context, the following public announcement by a spokesman for Focus On The Family is especially damaging to the very cause which Dobson has literally founded his organization upon: Protecting the Traditional Christian Family.

"Focus on the Family, the Colorado Springs-based organization of conservative Christians, has endorsed a measure by Sen. Shawn Mitchell, R-Broomfield, that would expand legal benefits to non-married heads of households, no matter the orientation of the couple. The position seemed a contrast to the group's vigorous efforts to 'preserve traditional values and the institution of the family'."

Even secular people can see the oddity of this sudden switch in positions which Focus has just taken. After years and years -- and millions of words -- of supporting measures designed to protect the Biblical Family Unit, Focus is now suddenly switching positions to support a piece of legislation which gives great aid and support to this gay effort to legalize gay marriage, "no matter the orientation of the couple"!!

Now, notice the wording by the Focus spokesman, which gives great aid and comfort to this pro-gay proposal.

"Jim Pfaff, state policy analyst for Focus, said Mitchell's bill is a 'common-sense alternative' to the domestic partnership legislation. 'A domestic partnership bill based on sexual orientation is giving extra benefits to a class that has a high standard of living at the expense of other adults who are at or near the poverty level, and we believe that's discriminatory', he said. Mitchell's bill extends a range of benefits to unmarried people who sign what he calls a 'reciprocal beneficiary agreement'. He says relatives, friends, roommates and same-sex couples would all be eligible."

This is the stuff upon which Sodom and Gomorrah were founded! Stop right now and think about the Biblical account for a moment.

BIBLICAL LAST DAYS' PROPHECY: "So also as it was in the days of Lot: People ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; But on the very day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. That is the way it will be on the day that the Son of Man is revealed." (Luke 17:28-30; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary)

This incredible Scripture has many things to say to us today. As we discuss this verse, remember that Jesus was talking about the end of the age, the end of the Great Tribulation, when He returns to execute judgment and set up His Millennial reign. Let us now examine this Scripture:

First, we see that people were engaged in normal business and normal activities in living up to and including the day of destruction. People were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, and building. Everything seemed absolutely normal until the second that God's fiery judgment began to fall, and no one escaped.

Second, the Bible clearly states that Sodom was destroyed because of the rampant practice of homosexuality in that city. As we have stated before, all agencies of authority in Sodom had to have been totally supportive of homosexuality as a valid lifestyle. Courts, legislative bodies, schools, youth organizations, and churches all had to teach the acceptability of homosexuality. This teaching and official support produced the very clear practice of homosexuality among the people. We are seeing exactly this type of official governmental teaching today in America, producing yet one more example of a sign that we are living in the very end of time.

Because Sodom and Gomorrah were vibrant, prosperous cities, their families were primarily heterosexual, which is the only way in which the cities could perpetuate and prosper in the long-run. However, authorities all across the cultural spectrum taught that homosexuality and heterosexuality were equally acceptable. This acceptance reached the point where the "boys and men of the city" wanted the two angels in Lot's house to come outside to have sex -- public sex. The only reason these gay men and boys had no fear of authorities arresting them for public sex is because public sex was accepted.

This is the condition toward which America is heading, and a compromise on this issue by a prestigious Christian organization like Focus On The Family simply erodes Christian opposition to homosexuality to such a point as to make it disappear. Please carefully read our description of the insidious "Six Step Attitudinal Change Plan" (NEWS1055). In the segment on "Abortion", listen to our quote, for it is equally applicable to this despicable compromise by Focus On The Family.

This compromise on the part of Focus On The Family, just "opens the door to delayed defeat" on this most important issue of gay marriage.

With this thought in mind, notice how the Focus spokesman tried vainly to deny that Dobson had changed his position to support homosexual marriage:

"Pfaff said that while Mitchell's Senate Bill 166 includes same-sex couples, 'it is not premised on sexual orientation'. If it were, the group would not support it, he said." (Ibid.)

What doublespeak nonsense! This Colorado bill extends legal benefits to a variety of "non-traditional households", including same-sex couples! Therefore, gay couples do get these legal benefits. The Focus spokesman is "parsing his words" to try to carefully "spin" this action into something that it is clearly not. Remember when President Clinton parsed his words so carefully in the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal that he actually said, "It depends upon what the meaning of is, is"?

This attempted parsing of words by the Focus spokesman is as ridiculous as Clinton's infamous words. This attempted denial is such a pile of stinking nonsense that a fourth-grader could understand!

When Focus On The Family supports a measure that extends legal benefits to gay couples, this concrete result does come to life, no matter how Focus tries to pretend the original "premise" to be. This attempted denial and word parsing is simply and totally ridiculous! And, it is totally unworthy of someone who pretends to be a Christian ministry.

PREVIOUS CONCERNS WITH FOCUS ON THE FAMILY

Cutting Edge has led the way in warning people that "Christian psychologist" James Dobson and his Focus On The Family were not the genuine Christians they were pretending to be. Jesus said, "Ye shall know them by their fruits", and the fruits are terrible. Listen to our past warnings of bad spiritual fruit emanating from Focus:

NEWS2039 -- Dr. James and Shirley Dobson Attended The White House Correspondent's Dinner, Heard Laura Bush's Jokes On 'Bestiality, Going To Strip Clubs, and Being a Desperate Housewife': Jim and Shirley Dobson told their audience on a Friday the 13th Focus On The Family radio broadcast that Laura's comments 'stole the show', were 'fantastic', and were 'cleaner' than Oscar performances!" (April 30, 2005)

Newsletter of April 9, 2005 -- Dr. Dobson highly praised Pope John Paul II, joining a chorus of Evangelical leaders who are aiding an rapprochement with Rome so the One World Order Religion can be established, fulfilling Revelation prophecy. Dr. Dobson said of the recently deceased Pope: "Today's passing of Pope John Paul II is an immeasurable loss -- not only to our friends in the Catholic Church, but to the entire world. We found common cause with him, and with the 'culture of life' he espoused so eloquently; the legacy he left to us is to be cherished."

No genuine Christian will ever find "common cause" with the supreme leader of a pagan religion so thinly disguised as Christianity! Has Dobson forgotten Biblical teaching that a leopard cannot ever change its spots (Jeremiah 13:23), and has he forgotten that Pope John Paul II was so in tune with the murderous spirit Traditional Catholicism that he appointed Cardinal Ratzinger to head the historic Office of Inquisition?

NEWS1902 -- Dr. Dobson falsely assured his listeners that, in "The Passion of the Christ" movie, "there are no specific references to unique Catholic doctrine ..." ["The Greatest Story Ever Told", Dr. Dobson's Newsletter: February, 2004] Mel Gibson created the entire movie to be a visual Roman Catholic Mass! This movie was the most overtly Catholic movie in all history! Yet, Dr. Dobson falsely assured his Christian followers that the movie was just fine, because it contained no "specific references to unique Catholic doctrine". NEWS1630 -- Published a book written by a Focus vice-president entitled, "Finding God In Lord of the Rings". Former Satanists -- now Born Again -- consider the witchcraft contained in Lord of the Rings to be very powerful, first-rate, and much more insidious than Harry Potter. (March, 2002)

NEWS1383 -- Focus On The Family Recommended that Christian parents can read Harry Potter to their kids (July, 2000)

NEWS1171 -- Focus On The Family published the book by "Promise Keepers" which started this most ecumenical, Catholic-oriented men's ministry (May, 1998)

As you can see, Cutting Edge has been warning Christians about the disinformation agent role which Focus has been fulfilling for a great many years now. Remember, to be effective, any "deep-mole" disinformation agent must build its credibility with its victim by putting out 85-95% good information. And, most of the Biblical information Focus has been providing is good, solid information; however, on the issues important to the End of the Age, Focus provides unbiblical guidance -- old-fashioned "leaven".

Since George Bush was elected in 2000, Focus has spared no effort to build up this President as a genuinely Born Again believer, despite the mountains of solid spiritual fruits to the contrary! Dr. and Mrs. Dobson even had the gall to whitewash Laura Bush's vulgar bestiality jokes at the White House Correspondent's Dinner in April, 2005 (See NEWS2039)

Focus On The Family is helping to fulfill a very important End of the Age prophecy:

"For false Christs and false prophets will arise .... if possible, even the elect, God's chosen ones." (Matthew 24:24; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary)

Unparalleled Deception is the Hallmark characteristic of the New Age. Nothing is as it seems, and people who are involved in ushering in the New World Order are truly not the kind of people that they seem to be on the surface. Notice that the deception of which the Lord warns comes from two sources at the End of the Age:

1) "False Christs" -- Since the word, "Christ" is primarily the political office of the prophesied Messiah (Isaiah 9:6). Therefore, Jesus is warning that unparalleled deception will be forthcoming by the political leaders at the End of the Age. Discerning Christians should EXPECT deception from their political leaders, not surprised and disbelieving when told of such deception!

2) "False Prophets" -- This portion of this prophecy brings us back to Focus On The Family, does it not? Because Focus speaks so much truth, that organization has mislead many genuine Christians! Remember that the Apostle Paul warns that only a tiny little bit of untruth (leaven) can ruin the whole church!

"Do you not know that just a little leaven will ferment the whole lump of dough?" (1 Cor 5:6b; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary)

"A little leaven, a slight inclination to error, or a few false teachers, leavens the whole lump; it perverts the whole conception of faith or misleads the whole church." (Galatians 5:9; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary)

It takes just a tiny bit of false teaching by a spiritual teacher to ruin the whole lump, "pervert the whole conception of faith", and "mislead the whole church". Do not try to defend Dr. Dobson by bringing up the mountains of good information he provides. The issue must be focused on the tiny bit of spiritual poison he is putting out, just as the focus should be on the tiny amount of deadly poison in that cup of coffee you are about to drink.

This last verse describes Dr. Dobson and his Focus On The Family very well. Despite the mountains of good information he puts out, he is misleading his people in a few areas critical to the deception program of the worldwide Illuminati. Consider:

1) Dr. Dobson is encouraging the acceptance of Witchcraft within the hearts and minds of Christian Youth when Focus recommends that Christian parents can read Harry Potter to their kids and when it tells Christian parents that they can find "God" in the terribly Satanic "Lord of the Rings".

2) Dr. Dobson is leading the way to Christians accepting President George Bush as a Born Again Christian, even though he is an unrepentant Skull & Bones Adept and his spiritual fruits are terribly un-Christian.

3) Dr. Dobson told the largest lie imaginable when he falsely assured his supporters that the Mel Gibson movie, "The Passion of The Christ" contained no specific Roman Catholic doctrine, when the reality was that the whole movie was a perfect cinematic recreation of a typical Roman Catholic Mass! 4) Now, Focus has betrayed untold millions of supporters by backing a bill extending legal benefits to gay couples!

Truly, the foretold deception of the End of the Age is upon us -- in full force. And, Focus On The Family is leading the way.

Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.
