NEWS BRIEF:  "Evangelicals tussle over Jews, gender in new Bible", by Richard N. Ostling, Associated Press, 2/13/02, The Jerusalem Post.

"People deeply want to trust every word of their Bibles. They meditate on every word. They preach on every word ... If you don't have a Bible you can trust, it strikes at the heart of the Christian faith." [Wayne Grudem of Arizona's Phoenix Seminary ].

This secular Associated Press author goes right to the heart of this deeply troubling matter:  he records the heart string of every Fundamental Christian heart:  "If you don't have a Bible you can trust, it strikes at the heart of the Christian faith".

Amen, Amen, and Amen again!  For a great number of people in the English world, this Bible in which they trust with their eternal soul is the King James Version, the Bible that has survived the test of time.  Before the advent of the King James Bible, Protestants inherently trusted the Geneva Bible,  which was used as a resource by the King James translators.  It is a fact of history that our Pilgrim forefathers landed at Plymouth Rock with Geneva Bibles in hand, not the King James. People do, indeed, need a Bible in which they can trust, for its Precious Promises form the anchor of our soul as we face the trials, tribulations, and death inherent in this life.  Take away a Bible in which we can trust, and many people will face a fear they have never known before.

This issue is THE most important any person will ever face, so you must excuse us when we get really upset about such a blatant pollution of the Bible as this TNIV translation represents. 

DRIVEN BY FEMINISM AND THEIR DESIRE FOR "ALL-INCLUSION"

Let us now return to this feature Associated Press article for more insight:

"The language issue originated in the 1980s with the ascent of religious feminism. A panel from the more liberal National Council of Churches published translations of key Bible passages that abolished 'male-biased' language regarding God and Jesus Christ."  [Ibid.]

In NEWS1616, we give a large treatise to the reason that feminists so desperately want the male-oriented doctrines relating to God, Jesus Christ and the Christian Church changed to neutral words, and we do not want to repeat ourselves here.  Rather, we want to go closer to the heart of the matter of "all-inclusiveness".

But, first, we need to properly identify the meaning of the word, "inclusive".  If the TNIV "bible" is said to be "all-inclusive" what does that mean?  Turning to my Tormont Webster Illustrated Encyclopedic Dictionary, we see that "inclusive" means: "Including the specified extremes or limits as well as the area in between them".  Thus, the word "all-inclusive" is really redundant because the core word alone means to encompass all the area between the two extremes.  Thus, "all-inclusive" means to include every single portion of the area under discussion; when the TNIV "bible" is declared to be "all-inclusive" that means it encompasses every square inch of theological territory and the people therein.  This term means it will include all diverse elements, from north to south, east to west.  No one will be "excluded" from its reach -- all races, genders, religions, sexual preferences, will be included and accepted by this TNIV.

Since the drive to the global religion of Antichrist must unite all religions based upon what they can agree, the traditional male orientation of Judeo-Christianity is a huge roadblock.  You see, most of the pagan religions of the world revolve around goddess worship!  The worship of the Virgin Mary goes a long, long way toward bridging the gap between the surface Christianity of Roman Catholicism, and the various goddess worship of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Satanic covens throughout the world.

However, the Christian Bible remains male oriented, and that must be changed if Protestant Christianity can be brought into the goddess worship of the rest of the world.  Once feminists can get the male gender words changed to neutral, it is a very short step to persuade Christians to accept the worship of the goddess.  Once the Holy Spirit writes "Ichabod" above the door of a church, Satan can move quickly into the hearts and minds of its adherents to move them to the final position where he wants them.  This kind of scenario is precisely what is occurring today with this most important issue.

SOME EXAMPLES OF THE CHANGE TO "ALL-INCLUSIVE" LANGUAGE

"Grudem and colleagues in the conservative Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood of Louisville, Kentucky, quickly assembled a report citing dozens of changes they find objectionable. An accompanying statement from 30 Bible scholars declared that "Today's NIV" distorts biblical texts and "should not be commended for use by the church."

Disagreements fall into several basic categories:

* " 'The Jewish leaders' now oppose Jesus in John's Gospel, not 'the Jews,' as in most translations. Stek says the change conveys the writer's original intent, avoiding the misunderstanding that he was referring to all Jews, a touchy matter in interfaith relations. Conservative critics respect the intent, but believe the literal translation must stand."

  • "Added words. Rather than strict word-for-word translation from the Greek, some terms are added. For instance, 'brothers and sisters' is sometimes used instead of the literal 'brothers' in the Greek. John Stek, chairman of the 'Today's NIV' translators, says the change is justified if the biblical group addressed included both genders."

  • "Male nouns . The word 'man' is often changed to 'person.' Critics say that's acceptable when the Greek word is 'anthropos,' which can be generic, but the Greek 'aner' means only 'man.' Stek says that's a matter of opinion and lexicographers disagree."

  • "Male pronouns . The new translation often uses plural pronouns and avoids the words 'him' or 'his.' Critics complain this surrenders the intended spiritual force of verses referring to a single person. Stek thinks that's a modern, individualistic reading that doesn't reflect ancient culture."

    *  "Verses like Acts 20:30, translated generically to imply that both genders taught doctrine in New Testament times, are a sore point for the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, which believes only males should exercise church authority."  [Ibid]

    Pastor David Cloud gives even more examples of changes from male gender words to "all-inclusive" neutral words:

    "The Today's New International Version New Testament will not appear in bookstores until the spring, and we have not seen a copy of it; but the inclusive language editions of the New International Version already in print make such changes as the following: "brethren" is changed to 'brothers and sisters', 'man' is changed to 'humankind' or 'people', 'he' is sometimes changed to 'they', and sons of God is changed to 'children of God'." [Ibid.]

    Following are some examples from the Hodder & Stoughton New International Inclusive Language edition of 1995:

    PSALM 8:4

    KJV: "What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?"

    INCLUSIVE LANGUAGE NIV: "What are mere mortals that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?"

    PSALM 34:20

    KJV: "He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken."

    INCLUSIVE LANGUAGE NIV: "He protects all their bones, not one of them will be broken."

    This translation corrupts a key prophetic passage. Psalm 34:20 refers to Christ and the fact that His bones were not broken on the cross. John 19:32-36 was a direct fulfillment of Psalm 34:20. The inclusive language NIV changes the singular masculine pronoun "his" to the plural pronoun "their," thereby destroying its prophetic significance.

    LUKE 17:3

    KJV: "Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him."

    INCLUSIVE LANGUAGE NIV: "Rebuke a brother or sister who sins, and if they repent, forgive them."

    JOHN 6:44

    KJV: "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."

    INCLUSIVE LANGUAGE NIV: "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day."

    JOHN 14:23

    KJV: "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him."

    INCLUSIVE LANGUAGE NIV: "Those who love me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them."

    This is typical of the incredible perversion of Scripture represented by the inclusive language NIV. The singular pronouns are changed to plural. Christ's sweet and lovely promise to individuals is rendered ineffective by the change to general plural pronouns. Further, "my words" is changed to "my teaching," thus rendering Christ's emphasis on the words of Scripture ineffective by replacing it with the more general idea of teaching.

    REVELATION 3:20

    KJV: "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

    INCLUSIVE LANGUAGE NIV: "I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with them, and they with me."

    "Again, Christ's tender promise to individuals who receive Him is destroyed by the corrupt inclusive language rendition."

    TO PLEASE THE FEMINISTS

    "We believe the inclusive language NIV is a response to the pressure from clamoring feminists and their sympathizers, though the NIV publishers deny that this is the case. The NIV Committee for Biblical Translation (CBT) has been working on the inclusive language edition for years. Larry Walker, a member of the NIV's CBT, noted that pressure for such a version came from women who "felt left out" by the traditional language. Pressure also came from the publishers of the NIV in Britain (Hodder and Stoughton). "In England, sales of the New Revised Standard Version, a unisex language revision of the RSV, put such pressure on the NIV that Hodder and Stoughton demanded a new version in order to compete" (World, March 29, 1997, p. 12).     DID YOU KNOW ANTICHRIST WILL ARISE DEMONSTRATING "ALL-INCLUSIVENESS"?

    When Antichrist arises, he shall make a supernatural effort to prove his "inclusiveness"!  The Bible states that Antichrist will perform supernatural "lying signs and wonders"; therefore, we should not be too surprised that Antichrist is planning just such supernatural signs so as to "fulfill" the Messianic prophecies of the true Messiah [Peter Lemesurier, The Armageddon Script, New World Order author]
     
    During the House of Theosophy seminar into which I was sneaked in August, 1991, the New England Director, Bill Lambert, presented some very interesting, insightful "lying signs and wonders" that the New Age Christ would create when he arose; these signs are designed to communicate a message to the peoples of the world, while simultaneously convincing them that he is Messiah.  One of Lambert's revelations is most pertinent to our discussion of the "all-inclusive" language of the TNIV.  Listen:

    "Mr. Lambert revealed that, "when Lord Maitreya appears, he will appear as different beings to different people. what

    * He will appear as a man to a man and as a woman to a woman.

    * He will appear as a white to a white, as a black to a black, as an Indian to an Indian, etc."

    "It makes no difference whether you are viewing him in person or on Television. Thus, 'he will show that he is all things to all people'. [NEWS1052; Complete House of Theosophy Seminar Notes, "Possible and Probable Events In The Future"]

    Thus, Antichrist will prove to the world that he is all-inclusive. 

    If Antichrist is planning to be "all-inclusive", is this new "all-inclusive" TNIV "bible" translation his bible ?  Can we logically think of the TNIV "bible" as being the bible of Antichrist?  I think it highly likely this might be the case.  Truly, the advent of this most wicked change in God's original Word is a very strong sign that we are at the End of the Age.

    Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.

    If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, but have been very lukewarm in your spiritual walk with Him, you need to immediately ask Him for forgiveness and for renewal. He will instantly forgive you, and fill your heart with the joy of the Holy Spirit. Then, you need to begin a daily walk of prayer and personal Bible Study.

    If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, but have come to realize His reality and the approaching End of the Age, and want to accept His FREE Gift of Eternal Life, you can also do so now, in the privacy of your home. Once you accept Him as Savior, you are spiritually Born Again, and are as assured of Heaven as if you were already there. Then, you can rest assured that the Kingdom of Antichrist will not touch you spiritually.
